Asher and Haley slowly crept out the house at four in the morning. Haley tripped as she descended down the stairs, and Asher laughed. "Shush!" Kyle, their older brother, hissed. "Morons." he muttered under his breath.
Their bags were packed in the car and they quickly went outside. They didn't want to be there for their dad's speech. Kyle would drive them.
"You guys owe me." Kyle said, as he yawned. Haley took a traveling mug with coffee and a muffin and gave it to Kyle. "Alright, Asher owes me." Kyle smirked.
"Unfair, I helped." Asher grunted. Haley and Kyle glanced at each other and laughed. Asher just got into the car. Haley leapt for the front seat and got their first, smirking.
---------------------
After a couple pit stops they drove up the oak tree lined driveway. Asher rolled his eyes. Kyle parked and they got out, heading over to the hall with the banners.
Once inside, they glanced around. Hesitant to move. "Go on, knuckleheads. I want to see." Kyle groaned from behind. They moved around quickly and soon grabbed their dorm keys and headed out. It was getting cramped.
Not much talking happened as they unpacked the car. They said their goodbyes and Kyle promised to visit, since he wasn't to far away. He swiftly climbed in his car and zoomed off.
Asher and Haley picked up their bags, "Typical Kyle, won't help to unpack." Haley and Asher made their way to the path that would take them through a forest. "How long is it?" Asher asked a teacher standing nearby. "Ten minutes, maybe more." he replied.
"Hell no." Asher grunted and walked towards the golf carts. Haley got her own and they started up. "Sir," the teacher began but they were off. Bags loaded and the zoomed down the path.
They defiantly made an entrance as they burst out the forest to see the building. They parked the golf carts, grabbed their bags and jogged away from the carts.
A short, fat man came running out the forest, panting breathlessly. "Is that campus police?" Asher asked. "Yeah." A stranger replied. "You got to be kidding, I'm up against that?" Asher frowned and Haley laughed, patting his back.
The found their rooms, waved and went into the unknown. To meet and greet and, of course, unpack.

With a slight fierceness, Alaska jumped out of the car along with Akila following suit quickly and Zac following reluctantly. "Hey. Yo. Slow down. It's not a race. I'm tired."
"Well maybe you shouldn't have woken up at four in the morning." Alaska giggled. She kissed her mother goodbye and hopped to the trail. "C'mon sports boy. Let's go. You haven't practiced for soccer all summer. Let's do this."
A chuckle escaped him. "Game on little girl."
"Hey! I'm only a couple months younger than you jerk. And I'm just so much better." She winked as she turned and started walking down the long trail. She figured there were other ways in, but she never really cared. The forest was nice. Relaxing. She looked over at the golf carts and an idea sprung. "Hey Johnnie!"
The security guard looked over at her with a smile. "Hey Alaska. Welcome back!"
"Thank you! It's good to be back for another year. I have a favor to ask of you. Zac hasn't trained all summer and he's a little behind for trying to become the team captain. Mind if I use a cart to carry our stuff while he runs?"
"Um...Sure! Just don't let anyone know except for Chip."
"As always. Thanks Johnnie!"
She looked down at Akila and giggled. "You ready for a run girl?" A bark confirmed a yes and soon they were all off. Alaska on the golf cart, and Zac and Akila running down the trail to the dorms.
--
After putting the cart away, they made their way up to their dorms.
They said a small goodbye knowing that they would always see each other. Zac never left Alaska's side in fear that she'd have an attack.
Alaska slightly opened the door and let Akila go in first. Akila stood guard, waiting for Alaska to come in. Inside the room was a girl. Alaska's roommate she was guessing. "Oh! Hi! I didn't think you'd be here already! You must be Haley. I'm Alaska and this is my service dog, Akila. I really hope you don't mind dogs. I just don't leave her behind."

-Haley-
Haley was packing her clothes away and heard the door open and listened to the greeting. She rolled her eyes and grunted in response. "I prefer cats, but whatever." was her response before she tossed her bags under the bed. She picked up her new iPhone and hurried out the door, to wait for Asher.
As she waited, she leant against the wall and checked her messages. She rolled her eyes at the 'missing you' texts and deleted them and switched her phone off when she saw her dad had tried to phone her.
She closed her eyes and rubbed away a headache that had been forming ever since she smelt the dog, she only liked the family dog, Bear.
Her thoughts stopped as a guy walked past, hitting her arm with a box on accident. They tumbled down, items spilling out. She got down immediately, helping him pack everything up.
"Sorry, I'm pretty clumsy." the guy spoke, his fringe covering his eyes as he picked everything up. "No worries." Haley said, giggling. Once that was done, they stood up. She looked at his eyes, a dark brown. "Thanks." he said, as he set down the boxes. "All good." Haley said, smiling. "I'm Haley Austin." she said, extending her hand.
"Josh Bevon." he smiled, shaking her hand, his grasp firm and warm.
-Asher-
Asher was a bit more friendly than his sister. Has his roommate walked in, he greeted him and smiled. Before skipping to his room to grab his phone quickly, he checked the time and hurried out. Muttering a 'see ya later' under his breath.
As he was walking out the door, he opened the message from his dad. The long one and closed it, locking it. He glanced around for Haley and saw her talking to a guy, typical. He walked over to her and slung his arm around her shoulders.
"Hello! I'm Asher." he introduced himself. Haley just rolled his eyes and shook his arm off. He punched her softly. "Josh, this is Asher. My brother." Haley said. Asher smiled, "Ready?" he asked. "Yeah." she said, looking at him. Asher nodded, frowning a bit, "Josh, would you like to join us? We though we'd go explore and walk to town.' Haley asked.
Josh nodded and smiled, "Thanks! Let me put the boxes down and I'll be there. I'll meet you outside." he smiled again, picked up his boxes and hurried down. Asher and Haley walked out, "He seems nice." Asher said, Haley nodded and smiled.
Josh joined them shortly and they walked through the forest to town, Josh showing them the way.

"Well then." Alaska muttered under her breath as she put her stuff down by her bed. She shook her head and sat down as Akila sat next to her, nudging her slightly. "Well girl, this already isn't going as we planned, huh?" A slight whimper answered her question, making Alaska slightly chuckle.
After making Akila's dog bed, Alaska and her trusty companion made their way down to Zac's room. The door swung open and stood her best friend. "Have you met your roommate yet?"
"Kinda. He seems nice though. Why?" He made way for her to come in. She laid down on his bed with a loud sigh.
"His sister already doesn't like me. I was trying Zac, I really was. She doesn't like Akila. She says she's more of a cat person. But still. I want her to like me."
Zac sat on the edge of the bed and chuckled. "Alaska, you can't please everyone. Plus, she just met you and you have a whole school year to get to know her. Just, please stay calm. You have me and Akila. You can get through anything."
"You're right." She smiled, jumping up. "Let's go get some food. I'm starving."
--
After making it to town, they were determined to find a Starbucks and their favorite hometown restaurant, Lila's Cafe. The cafe Alaska's aunt Christie took over after her Grandma Lila passed.
The bell rang as they opened the door as the aroma of Alaska's cousin's wonderful cooking filled their nostrils.
"Kids!" The familiar voice rang.
"Aunt Christie!" Alaska giggled.
"Welcome back! Want the regular? Ham and cheese omelet with Dr. Pepper for Alaska and meat lovers omelet with Pepsi for Zac?"
"As always."
((This was bad, sorry.))

((How did they know they were siblings? :O))
-Haley-
Haley grinned as they got out the forest and were in the town. She pulled Asher along as they headed straight to the pizza shop, but passed a cafe. Haley glanced in and saw her roommate, what was her name?
She paused outside and though. It was Alaska. Haley quickly pulled her brother along, "You okay?" Josh whispered as he moved closer to Haley. She glanced at him and smiled, "Yeah, fine. Thanks." Haley whispered.
They got their pizza and headed out, choosing a small picnic table outdid the cafe. Haley glanced in and ducked, Asher sat opposite her and Josh glanced where to sit. Haley smiled and Josh sat next to her, smiling.
-Asher-
Asher glanced in at the cafe, seeing his roommate and a girl. Haley's roommate? He watched the hushed conversation between Haley and Josh but didn't say anything.
Asher sat down, smirking as Josh sat next to Haley. Haley didn't look up and say some snarky comment, she kept her head down and ate her pizza.
Asher nodded at Josh, "I have to go Hale, I need to unpack. See you later." He walked off, leaving them behind.
-Haley-
"Don't call me Hale!" Haley shouted and Asher just laughed. "See you later Ash." she cooed, knowing he hated that.
"What's up Haley?" Josh asked, moving to where Asher previously sat. "Nothing! I'm fine." Haley said, rolling her eyes. Josh looked at her, staying mute.
"It's just my roommate. She has a dog, I prefer cats." Haley said, crossing her arms. Josh raised an eyebrow, "That's it?" Josh asked. "Fine." she hissed, leaning forward. "You can't tell anyone about this, especially not Asher." she whispered.
Josh nodded, leaning forward. She could feel his breath on her face but she didn't move. She looked into his eyes and said, honest for a change, "She reminds me of my mother." She got up, put her hands in her pocket and walked off.
"Haley!" Josh yelled, running to catch up. He was laughing. "That's it?" he asked, chuckling. "I hate my mother." she said, sourly. Josh turned his laugh into an awkward chuckle. "Oh." was all he said.
They chatted as they walked through the forest. "Well, this is my room." Josh said. 32B, she would remember that. "I'm afew doors down. 36B." Haley said, smiling.
They exchanged numbers and Haley walked into her dorm. The smell dog made her cringe, did they not bath the dog? "Ew." she muttered under her breath.
She checked her room door was closed before heading into the lounge. Seeing her roommate there, she smiled. "I'm making coffee, want something?" she asked.
She better be nice, she doesn't want to be rude but she can't help it.
((In the dorm layout, I thought the two rooms on the side could be the rooms and the two middle rooms could be joined to make a lounge?))

((Last names cx also that sounds good))
After some amazing home cooked food, they said their goodbyes to Christie and headed out. Silently, they made their way to the dorms, with just the sound of Alaska's music playing. She loved her aunt, but she hated social interactions. She always wished the world didn't require it, but yet it did and she wasn't even close to being okay with it whatsoever.
"I'll see you later, okay? I need to unpack and so do you hon." Zac sighed, hugging Alaska tightly.
"Yeah, I do." She nodded against his chest. "I'll see you later. Dinner?"
"Of course." They pulled away and Zac lightly kissed her forehead. "Hey, let me take Akila for a bit. I'm gonna go give her a bath and play with her, alright?"
"Um, yeah, fine. I'll call you if I need her."
"I'll have my phone loud. C'mon Akila." The Husky padded along Zac's side, looking back at her owner every now and then.
With a slight sigh, Alaska turned and walked into her dorm, and sat on the couch, turning Netflix on.
A few minutes later her roommate came in and Alaska faked a smile. "Um, sure, coffee sounds nice."
-Zac-
After washing Akila and playing a bit, Zac stopped over at Alaska's dorm room.
"Hey Zac. Akila! My little girl you're so clean!" Alaska giggled as Akila licked her face. "C'mon in. Um, Haley, this is my best friend Zac. Zac, this is my roommate Haley."

(Oh, right! 😂😂)
-Haley-
Haley stood in the kitchen and made the coffee quickly. She heard a knock and left her roommate to get it. She smiled lightly at the bathed dog, that's better. She handed the mug to her roommate before smiling brightly at Zac. "Nice to meet you." she said.
She saw Asher creep in quietly and rolled her eyes. "What do you want?" she hissed. Asher rolled his eyes, "Come on! Can't I visit you?" he smirked. "We just hung out." she replied, bluntly.
"What happened with Josh?" He asked smirking. Haley realized Zac and Alaska were still there. "This is my idiotic brother, Asher. This is my roommate, Alaska. And I'm sure I don't need to introduce you to your roommate." Haley said.
-Asher-
Asher glanced around at Alaska and frowned. "Oh, I see now." he whispered, nodded to Haley and they walked off to Haley's room in a hushed conversation.
Once they got to the room, he closed the door, slamming it slightly. He took Haley's laptop and put on Skype, calling Kyle. "Have you checked your phone?" Asher asked, waiting for the call to be connected.
Haley powered her phone and Asher checked his, deleting messages from their dad. Haley grimaced and deleted. "A lot from dad, some from other people and…" she trailed off, scrolling, "Josh."
Asher raised his eyebrows, "What's going on?" Asher asked. "Nothing, we just met." Haley said, tossing her phone onto her bed as Kyle's face appeared.
"Who did Haley just meet?" Kyle asked, Haley groaned as she sat next to Asher. "Some guy." Asher answered, Haley groaned and flopped backwards. Kyle wiggled his eyebrows, "Shut up Kyle!" Haley said, without looking.
"Fine, what do you want? Missing me already?" Kyle asked, smirking. "Haley hates her roommate. And I understand why." Asher frowned. Kyle glanced between them, "So who's telling me?" He asked, leaning back into his chair and putting his hands behind his head.
"She looks like mom." Haley hissed. Kyle leaned forward, "Woah, no way!" Haley glared at him. "These walls are soundproof, right?" Kyle asked. Haley paled, "I hope so." Asher frowned.
-Haley-
What if they heard? Haley scolded herself, mentally. She picked up the laptop, grabbed Asher by his side and rushed out he bedroom, passing the lounge and hurling themselves out the door. Slamming the door shut.
They ran down the hall and knocked on Josh's door. Eventually it opened and they threw themselves in. "What's going on?" Josh asked. "Shush." Asher hissed, "We need to talk to our brother privately about Haley's roommate and they're in the dorm." Asher rushed.
Josh nodded and pointed to his room, following them. "Is that the guy?" Kyle asked, once settled. Asher nodded, "Stop!" Haley hissed.
A quick conversation followed before Kyle had to go. They thanked Josh, and headed back to the dorm. Haley sneaked in, Asher went to his dorm. She went past he lounge quickly, got into her room and locked the door. Sighing at the mess they had left, she began to unpack.

The two watched as Asher and Haley left. "Well, um, that was weird." Zac laughed.
"Extremely."
"So, how are things so far?"
Alaska sighed and gripped Akila's collar. "Zac. I want to go home."
He knew exactly what she meant. She didn't want to go back to the house with her mom and dad that she doesn't like talking about. She wanted to go home. She wanted to go back to summer nights with friends, drinking by the ocean. She wanted the night life back. But her family went under and all she wanted was to be back home. Zac understood. Her family adopted him after his parents died, which meant he was with them forever, even during the move.
"Slide over." He sighed. After she did, he sat next to her and held her close. "Would you like to watch Arrow or The Flash?"
"Arrow." She muttered, snuggling into her best friend. Before falling asleep soon after.
-Zac-
When Alaska fell asleep, he carried her to her room and laid her on the bed as Akila trudged over onto her dog bed. He kissed her on the forehead and headed back to his dorm room.
He opened up the door and sighed before getting a cup of coffee to calm himself so he wouldn't get too ahead of himself for once.

-Haley-
Once Haley has finished cleaning up the mess, she glanced out in the hall and stumbled to the kitchen. She hadn't changed, she had jut out her hair in a messy bun. She flicked on the lights, and shrieked.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry." Haley said to Zac, covering her mouth. She glanced around the kitchen quietly and spotted the kettle, she filled it up with water and turned it in before hopping into the counter.
"So, what are you still doing here?" Haley asked. The kettle flicked itself off and Haley got a mug and made some coffee. She looked through the fridge, before groaning and closing the fridge with her hip.
-Asher-
He sneaked into his dorm, to see no one. He sighed and smiled slightly, going to his room to get comfortable clothes. He headed to his bathroom to shower.
Once the showering was done, he changed and did his hair. He walked out his door to get Haley and then Josh. "Haley?" he called into the dorm, spotting her with Zac in the kitchen. "It's dinner, yeah?" Asher said. Haley smiled and nodded, putting her mug in the sink and filling it with water.
"See you around!" she smirked and followed Asher out the door. "Josh?" Asher asked, Haley just nodded. They got Josh and walked to the cafeteria, they frowned at the food being served. "Come on, I know a good place." Josh said, and they went to town.
"Are we allowed to be out?" Asher asked, "Out of curiousty." He said quickly after. "Weekends yes, since it's Saturday it's fine." Josh replied. Asher frowned and Haley chuckled.
They ended up at a nice restaurant that did burgers. They were delicious, and huge. Eventually they were all filled up, paid the bill and left for school. They said their good nights and Haley hugged Asher tight. "See you in the morning, Hale." Asher said, hugging her back.
Haley giggled, "Night Ash." They hugged for a little longer before letting go, smiling and going into their dorms. Asher immediately changed his clothes and went to bed.
-Haley-
Haley hurried to her room to get some clothes. She showered quickly and changed into leggings and an over-sized sweatshirt and climbed into bed. She was tired from the exciting day, and fell asleep quickly.
Luckily tomorrow's Sunday, was her last thought.

-Next morning-
Zac groaned as he dragged himself out of bed. I need to go check on Alaska. His mind rang with a terrible feeling. He quickly got dressed and made his way down to Alaska's dorm, knocking kind of quietly as he left her door open, and he hoped Haley's was closed.
Soon, a groggy Alaska opened the door. "G'morning." She ruffled her hair back and plopped down on the couch with Akila next to her. Zac chuckled and sat next to her, as she cuddled into him. "I'm so glad you're my best friend."
"Always. C'mon get dressed. Let's get some food and then come back and watch Arrow."
"But I don't want to get up."
"Hey, we can invite Asher and Haley. Actually get to know them."
She groaned at the fact she'd actually have to human. "Fiiiiiine. But I'm wearing a dress. I don't want to wear pants."
"I'm used to it." He chuckled.

(no worries!)
-Haley-
Haley groaned at the knocking on the door, she rolled over and blinked at the red numbers telling her the time. 6:58. She was supposed to meet Asher at half past seven. She grabbed her phone and called him, putting it on speaker as she switched on the light.
"What?" came a grumbled voice. "Half an hour." Haley grumbled back. He ended the call and Haley rolled her eyes. She made her bead and went to the bathroom, where she showered and washed her hair.
She stepped out the bathroom, her fluffy towel held closely to her body. She heard voices in the kitchen, so she walked to her room quickly. She closed the door with her foot, a soft click followed shortly.
She looked around her closet, eventually some light skinny jeans, a black hoodie and a red woodchopper shirt to tie around her waist. She slipped on her black boots, that kind of looked like hiking boots, and put on a necklace. A thin black string with a small silver horse charm on it.
She made her bed, opened her curtains and took the charging cable out her phone. She walked out her room, closing the door behind her, and walked into the lounge to wait. She flopped face first into a couch and groaned, "It's too early to be up." Not knowing if anyone was even there,
-Asher-
I groaned and glanced at my vibrating phone, Haley. We had an extremely short conversation and I hopped out of bed. Cleaning the room a bit before going to the bathroom.
I showered, brushed my teeth and hair and went back to my room to get my clothes. I glanced around. Lazily picking up some jeans on the floor and pulling them on. I snatched a plain black t-shirt and a red hoodie. Grabbing my wallet and keys and slipping them in my pocket as I passed the kitchen counter.
I opened the door to the dorm and walked straight to the lounge. Haley was on the couch groaning, I nodded to Alaska and Zac and rolled Haley over. Lying on the couch as well, squishing her. Haley just groaned and I groaned back.
"You're squishing me." Haley moaned to me. "Half of my butt is off the couch, what you complaining about?" he asked. They bickered a bit, some name calling.
"Any plans for today?" Asher asked.

Alaska grabbed a cup of coffee and walked into the lounge. "Well, we were wondering if you guys wanted to go out for breakfast. I mean, I'd have to get dressed, but thats no complication." She giggled as Zac walked into the room.
"Alaska, rambling, love." He chuckled, sitting down on the chair.
Alaska, looking defeated, sat by him on the floor with a sigh. She always rambled, and she hated it. "You know what, I'm gonna change now." She jumped up, being carefully aware of the cup of coffee in her hand and waltzed to her room.
She quickly brushed her hair out, put light makeup on, and shimmied into a cute sundress. Zac's roommate is something else... Wait! Alaska, what are you talking about?? She groaned at the argument going on in her head. She took her medication and ushered Akila in while making her way out. "Sorry baby girl, but you need to stay in today. It's too hot, and I have Zac if anything comes up." The dog whimpered, but laid down, waiting for further instructions from her owner.
Alaska skipped out of her room, putting a smile on her face. "So, are we going?"

-Haley-
I groaned again before nodding my head. "Breakfast sounds good to me." she said. She pushed Asher off the couch, handed him a pillow and rolled over. She watched Alaska skip into the room, with a smile and a dress. She rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, we're going. Come on Asher, we're going to eat." Haley muttered to her brother. He groaned and got up, putting an around her and walking towards the door. Haley smiled, giggling as her brother leant on her for support.
As they walked out the door, Asher pulled her into a hug and whispered into her ear, "You really want to do this?" he asked. "Not at all." Haley replied, hugging him tighter. "Shh, it's okay. I'll be by your side." Asher said.
Haley nodded and let go. Asher put his arm around her shoulders again, this time she leant on him.
-Asher-
I knew this was hard for her, it was hard for me too, but she was taking the worst. I guided her out the dorm and once we were outside, she let me drop my arm. "So? Any suggestions? We not going to the cafeteria, are we?" Asher asked.
It was a beautiful day outside, and he wouldn't mind going into town and eat breakfast outside. He didn't want to be cooped up in the cafeteria, with food that wasn't very nice.
He stopped and turned around with Haley, to face Alaska and Zac. Leaning on Haley again, she smiled ever so slightly. "Cheer up Hale." he muttered. "Whatever you say Ashley." she muttered back. "Oh, Ashley now? That's good." he said back, smiling.
Haley giggled, her face brightening, opening up more and her eyes shining. She should really smile more. "That's the spirit." he said, chuckling. He looked towards Zac and Alaska, awaiting an answer.

Zac laughed. "Of course not. The cafeteria here sucks, that's why we're allowed off campus sometimes to get food. Not everyday, but pretty often. But, there is this amazing place in town that we can go to. It's up high, if you don't mind heights. But there is an elevator to get up to it, so you don't have to stair if you don't want to. It's honestly quite the workout, but it's really fun and-"
"And you say I ramble." Alaska laughed. "It's called Rampu Diner. It's some really good food."
"You do ramble." Zac pouted before sitting on the chair.
"Don't mind him. He doesn't mind." She giggled. "So, do you guys wanna go? It's just outside of the forest."

-Haley-
Haley watched Asher's hands playing with the hem of his shirt, he was nervous. She grabbed his hands and held them, before dropping them. "Erm, sure." Haley said.
She wasn't sure where they were going, she wasn't listening really. She followed Alaska and Zac through the forest. "What's wrong?" Haley whispered to Asher. "You're nervous, Asher." She was being serious, no nicknames.
"You know why." he hissed back. Haley did know. They always had to please their mother as kids, good behavior always. It seems like they have to do it again.
"Let's just have breakfast, and if it doesn't go well we can excuse ourselves and meet up with Josh do Kyle, or anyone." Haley said, smiling.
-Asher-
Once they'd stopped, Asher glanced up at the tall building. "I'm not walking up that thanks." Asher said, breaking the silence. Haley giggled and Asher chuckled in return.
He opened the doors, letting Alaska and Haley walk through. "So sweet Ashley." Haley said, smiling. "Yeah, sure." Asher replied, grinning. Pushing her through the door.
Once they were in the lobby, they clambered into a elevator that would take the, to the top. Asher's phone rang and he answered. It was Kyle. "I need to talk to Haley." he whispered.
He handed the phone over to Haley, who smiled as she answered. But her smile turned into a frown, "Okay. Call me back in an hour, on my phone." she whispered into the phone.
Asher moved past Zac and Alaska, "What?" he asked, searching her face for any clues. She bit her lip, and shook her head. "Asher, we'll talk about this later." she said. Asher grabbed his phone and huffed.
"Just enjoy the breakfast." she said under her breath. They reached the top and Asher stepped out first. But waited for Haley, something was wrong indeed.
They sat at table on the deck, and ordered some drinks. "Erm, just a coffee for me." Asher ordered. "Erm." Haley scanned the menu, "A coffee milkshake please." she said, grinning. Asher smiled softly, she always ordered that.

((Sorry for the late reply. My boyfriend's sleep schedule is messed up right now and the reply I had got deleted))
Zac and Alaska shared concerned looks every now and then. Mainly because Alaska never goes too long without Akila near her. Even with her medication, her anxiety always reaches new heights.
She softly giggled at Asher's attempt to break the silence. "That's why there's an elevator."
She shot a concerned look at Zac and sighed. She was awfully surprised with how quiet he was during the walk. With his egocentric attitude and his extroverted personality, he was always the one to strike up a conversation and it always worried Alaska when he didn't.
"Are you alright?" She whispered, walking closer to him. He just nodded and continued walking. That's when it hit her. No matter what, he would never share his thoughts or his feelings with his best friend. And it always killed her to know that.
Instead of letting this get to her though, she kept a smile on her face as she walked through the door Asher was holding open. "Thank you." She quickly and quietly made her way to the table and sat. "Um, yes, can I get a Dr. Pepper please?"
The waitress nodded and looked over at Zac. "A chocolate chip frappe please."
Alaska shook her head. He liked white girl drinks more than the normal white girl. "So, um, I'm sorry. I don't kw anything to talk about." Alaska giggled nervously, playing with her hands. "I know none of us have truly introduced ourselves....Um...I'm Alaska. I love animals and I'm super anxious so excuse my rambling."She giggled again.

(I saw on the sb.)
-Haley-
Haley looked around herself. She wasn't listening to anyone as she took in her surroundings. As she always does in public places, she looked for her escape route. She found it fairly quickly and leaned back into the chair and smiled at Asher.
She thanked the waiter as he set down her milkshake and quickly picked it up, taking a sip. "That nice Hale?" Asher asked, chuckling. Haley smiled, brightly, and nodded her head. "How's your coffee Ashley?" Haley asked, grinning.
Asher chuckled and nodded, "Very nice." He winked before turning to the others and listening. Haley smiled and looked at Alaska. "Okay. I'm Haley Austin. I have an older brother, Kyle-" she stopped and glanced down at her phone. She unlocked it, and looked for any texts. None. She looked back up, "Erm, we have a dog and a cat who I equally love to bits." she smiled, thinking of them. "And we stay with out dad." Haley added.
-Asher-
Asher arched an eyebrow as she checked her phone. What was going on? "Haley?" he asked, softly. It seemed to wake her up from her trance-like state and started talking again. He frowned.
"I'm Asher. Haley's my twin, obviously. I was expelled from my previous school, that's why I am here, and Haley's upset because she didn't beat me to it." Asher said, chuckling.
Haley rolled her eyes at him and Asher shrugged his shoulders. A waiter interrupted them, "Would you like to order?" he asked. Asher glanced over at Haley, who nodded. "Erm, we're going to share your lemon muffin." Asher said and smiled.
"Alright." he said, writing it down and winked at Haley. Haley smiled and Asher rolled his eyes. Haley nudged him and laughed, "Knucklehead." he said, ruffling her hair. She shouted in process and fixed her hair, glaring but grinning. Asher grinned in return.
The waiter left and Asher turned back towards Alaska and Zac. "So…" he trailed off, he wasn't sure what to do. He was just hoping the food would come soon, and then they could get out of here and see what Kyle wanted.

Alaska awkwardly shifted and nodded. "Um, I'll have the ham and cheese omelet please. With hashbrowns and extra syrup." She tried faking a smile as her fingers twitched under the menu.
"I'll have the same." Zac nodded, handing the waitress the menu before she walked off to the kitchen. "I guess I have to introduce myself now." He chuckled before taking a drink. "I'm Zac. I've been here since freshman year along with Alaska. And I play soccer here. That's really all about me. Nothing too spectacular."
Alaska softly shook her head and smiled at the twins. "What is it like having siblings? I mean ones that you live with. I have a big sister, but she moved out when I was like eight, so I never really grew up with a sibling."
Zac chuckled. "Well, you have had me your entire life." He muttered, taking another drink.
"Yes, but you're my best friend."
He nodded and stood. "I'll be right back." He said, making his way over to the restrooms.
"I'm sorry about him. I have no idea what's going on with him today." Alaska sighed.
~Zac~
Zac slightly stumbled into the bathroom with a sigh. He found it hard to tell Alaska what was wrong when he couldn't even place it himself. As he stared at the mirror posted on the wall, he noticed every small thing about him. His light freckles, his dark brown eyes that have bags under them from the lack of sleep he's been having, the softness of his lips. He critiqued ever crevice of himself until it almost made him sick, which was something he did all too often.
He needed a change.
After splashing his face with water and drying off, he sat back down at the table where their food sat. "So, what did I miss?"

-Haley-
Haley glanced at Zac as he moved away. She watched him and looked through the small gap in the door and watched him. She wasn't listening to Alaska, but moved her head quickly when he Zac started to walk out the restroom.
Asher nodded at her, indicating that she could answer the question. "Erm." Haley began. "Siblings." Asher whispered to her. Once Zac sat, she watched him and smiled softly at him before looking away. "I enjoy it. I have brothers that look out for me, no matter how annoying they are." she giggled.
"But I honestly love them to bits. Especially this knuckle head." she smiled, punching his shoulder softly. Asher smiled warmly and looked at her, giving her hand a squeeze. They picked up the forks and ate their muffin quickly.
Haley heard her phone ring and leapt for it, excusing herself, she rushed out her seat and knocked it down. She picked it up quickly and scrambled to the other said, answering her phone in a hushed voice.
"Kyle?" Haley asked. "It's happening Haley." he uttered to her. "No, liar." she shouted into the phone. "Haley." he whispered through the phone. Asher jogged over, "Haley?" Asher asked.
Haley ended the call and moved back slowly to the table, shaking. Tears filled her eyes and Asher hugged her. Kissed her head and whispered things to her.
"Asher." she whispered, "We need to talk."
Haley glanced at the table and muttered an apology, "I'm sorry, we really need to go." she whispered. She put some money on the table, "That should cover us." she whispered.
She glanced at Zac, and when she passed, she whispered to him. "I want to talk to you sometime." she said, just loud enough for him.
-Asher-
Asher guided her out the restaurant and they quickly slipped into Asher's dorm when they had arrived. Asher put her on the couch and wrapped a blanket around her. "Haley?" he asked.
"Asher, mom wants to take me." she whispered. Asher glanced at her, "Is that all?" he asked. "She wants me to leave the county, and never see you, dad or Kyle again." she said, her voice cracking.
"Haley." he whispered, pulling her closer to him. He didn't know how to comfort her, he didn't know what to do. He too was crying, he didn't want her to leave.
They sat their for a long time, just sitting there before eventually switching a movie on. Asher watched Haley put Zac's number in her phone and send a message. Hey Zac, it's Haley.
Why did Haley want Zac's number? "Why don't you invite Josh around?" Asher asked. "Can I?" Haley asked, Asher nodded
Josh was soon in their dorm, happily watching with them. He sat beside her and Haley smiled. Switchinf between leaning on Asher and then leaning on Josh.

Alaska sighed as they left and paid for the food she didn't even finish eating because Zac wanted to leave. "Can you tell me why we're in such a hurry?" She muttered quite angrily.
"Can you tell me why you're in such a bad mood?"
"I dunno, can you do the same?"
Zac sighed. She was right to call him out on the way he had been acting. "I want to do something different, which means I need your hair styling skills. Please."
She groaned, but also giggled. "Fine. What exactly are you doing to yourself? Or better yet, what are you having me do to your hair?"
"You'll see." Zac smiled maliciously before his phone vibrated. He saved the number quickly before responding. Hey. Are you okay?? He slightly bit his lip as he dragged his best friend to the store to get the necessities.
----
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Alaska asked, slightly unsure about her best friend spontaneous decision.
"Yeah, I'm sure." Zac smiled. And with that, Alaska got to work.
----
"Okay, this turned out much better than I thought it would." She smiled at her art....Okay, at the new hairstyle her best friend was working. It was fluffy and bright green on the top, slightly shaved and brown on the sides. "I'm proud of my work here."
Zac smiled and hugged her. "Thank you Alaska. I don't know what I'd do without you."
She giggled. "Get charged for a new hairstyle. Now, I'm gonna take Akila for a walk. You want to come with?"
"Sure." He smiled before heading out with her and the excited husky.
