Malu stepped out of the hollow log, and jumped onto the top of it to look up at the stars. She got bored and looked away, down at the ground. She wondered why she had helped that wolf. "What was I thinking?" She growled to herself. "Wolves are so self-centered."

Sediam smiled slightly again and tried to speak again, but no words came out of her mouth. She was too weak to talk. But she mouthed the words 'I love you too.'

Haji listened and narrowed his eyes. He softened his eyes, knowing that he still had to give her something in return for helping him. He emerged from the bushes, and lowered his head. "Hello." He said, lifting his tail high.

Koga understood and smiled. He lciked her cheek and layed down next to her. "I will never leave you. I'll always be on your side." He rested his head on his paws and sighed. If she wasn't going to make it, at least he knew Sediam loved her back.

Malu jumped back in fear and fell off the log. She stood up. "Oh...hello again." She said, lowering into a submissive stance.

Sediam breathed heavily now, but slowly. She was trying to stay alive. She gathered her strength and spoke. "Koga, I think I'll be alright. Go to sleep, I'll wake you in the morning."

Haji lifted his head and walked over to Malu. "I owe you one for helping me with my paw..." He said. "I have to go back to my pack. I can't keep looking for my mate. She's gone forever." As he started to slip off-topic, he finally said, "Would you like to come back with me, to my pack?"

Koga looked at her for a moment, and noticed her slow breathing. He wanted to say, "I hope." But instead he said, "Okay." He closed his eyes but he couldn't sleep for a while. Finally, he started to drift off to sleep.

Sediam tried hard to stand up, and eventually succeeded, though it was painful. She limped away from Koga, into the woods, and eventually got pretty far away from him. She laid down underneath a berry bush, tears soaking her face. She'd left Koga. So he didn't have to see her dead.

Malu wagged her tail slightly. "Sure." She said. "I can look for your mate. What did she look like?"

Koga slept.

Haji nodded. "You don't have to help me. She's probably dead." He attempted to say the word. "But she is gray and white. Maybe a little bit of a cream color(I thought I saw a cream-ish color in her bio.)" He walked closer to Malu and onto the log.

(She's gray and white and cream. with super pretty emerald eyes XD)

"...With...green eyes, by any chance...?" Malu asked.

(OH FAIL.)

Haji was surprised. He stared at her for a moment. "Yes..." How would she know? He thought to himself.

"...I saw her!" Malu yipped, tail wagging. I was with her. Maybe she's alive...

(I FAIL MORE XD)

Haji's eyes widened. His tail started to whip back and forth and he jumped off the log and jumped back on, exited. "Really? Where? When? Is she okay? I wanna see her!" He barked rapidly.

"It was a while ago." Malu explained. "I saw her hurt herself...on purpose. And then she ran." Malu looked up at the sky for a moment. "She went East."

(Oh, but I still fail more.)

Haji's exitement faded, and he saddened his look. "She hurt herself? To make me think she was dead?" He wimpered. "Why would she do that to me?" He growled. "But at least I know she's still alive. I need to find her."

(Yes Kupa does.)

"I don't know why she did that." Malu said with a shrug. "Let's go." Malu ran north.

(Time skip to the next morning?)

(( I eat failure for breakfast. And yesh, time-skip. ))

Haji followed behind Malu. "C'mon, lets go faster. I need to find her." He walked past Malu and looked around, his front paw lifted up, as a American Pointer dog would do.

Koga's eyes fluttered open and he looked to his side. Sediam wasn't there. He jumped up and wimpered, turning his head around to look for her. He wimpered and barked frantically. He sighed and realized she probably didn't want to let Koga see her dead. He sat down and looked down to his paws. "The first wolf I ever shown any love to is gone." He muttered to himself as a tear raced down his face.

The previous night, Sediam had died when the sun began to rise.

Malu sped up, then watched Haji lift his paw. "What're you doing?" She asked, stopping.

(( I CAN'T BELIEVE SEDIAM DIED!!! I is sad now. ))

Haji looked back at Malu and said, "Before I was set into the wild, my owner had a dog that did this all the time when he was hunting with my owner. He did it when he saw something. But I'm doing it because it's just something I'm used to doing."

Koga sighed and decided it was time to go home. He walked all the way back to the territory. He went to the lake with Sediam, and he is leaving alone. He walked into the middle of the field and just stood there for a moment.

Neveah woke up and yawned. She saw that the pups were still sleeping. She heard something outside and went to check, and saw that is was Koga. She walked up to him and noticed something was missing. She saw him with sarrow in his eyes. "Where's Sediam?" She whispered.

When Koga heard Sediam's name, he broke down in tears and fell to the ground almost instantly.

Thaybian snarled at Koga. "Murderer!" He growled, and knocked Koga to the ground.

Karma turned to Toboe, shocked. "Brother...dad was right about him."

"So...you see something?" Malu guessed.

Toboe wimpered. "No, I know He's better than that." He said, as he walked out of the den and over to his mother.

Koga was shocked when Thaybian pushed him to the ground. "What? Why the h*ll would I murder someone I love?" He snarled. "I didn't kill her! Aevra did!"

Neveah wimpered and backed off by her son. "It's okay, Toboe." She whispered.

Haji set his paw down and sighed. "I though I saw something gray.  think it was a rabbit or something." He sighed.

"Go see what it was," Malu said.

"Then why didn't you protect her?" Thaybian snarled.

Koga growled. "I tried my best! I KILLED the wolf that killed her! Isn't that enough? I don't have freakin magical healing powers!" He said, his eyes getting watery.

Haji shrugged and went to investigate. He saw a little hole in the ground. Probably a rabbit. He was hungry. Being worried made him not eat in days. He dug the hole bigger and saw an adult rabbit cowering down in the hole. He picked it up gently and brang it over to Malu. "Here is the gray thing." He said through the rabbit.
