Kaito continued walking with Finnick. She was beginning to become sad, realizing Koga had a pack. She didn't. Koga had his pack, and probably a mate and pups to keep him company. And Kaito...Kaito had a mouthy fox.
"What's going on?" Karma asked Koga. "And...who's that?"

Koga looked over to Karma, but didn't stop digging. "That's my... sister. And she's really hurt. She'll stay with us for a while." He smiled when he said 'sister'. He looked down the whole. It wasn't too deep, not enough to fit four wolves... Mahka, Sediam, Amburus... and himself. He had just found his sister. He's not gonna leave her again, even if their only yards away from each other.

"Nice to meet you, Koga's sister!" Karma barked happily. She sat down next to the injured wolf.
Kaito threw back her head, and howled. Not for anything or anyone in particular. Just a long, lonely, sad-sounding howl.
"Oh, just shut up, wolf." Finnick growled, but Kaito wouldn't listen to him.

Mahka smiled, and barked, "I'm Mahka." She heard a howl, and saw as Koga stopped his digging to listen.
Koga perked his ears, and looked toward where the howl came from. It was a sad howl, and it had a very familiar tone to it. He then realized, it was Kaito. He wanted to go see what was wrong, but he had a duty that had to be done. Instead, he let out a long, responding howl back to Kaito.
Cheza watched as Koga howled, and really wanted to respond also, but that maight be awkward.

Kaito heard the responding howl. From Koga, she quickly realzed. She smiled slightly. She wished she had a pack, and a mate and pups. But, being a lone wolf traveling with a fox, it seemed unlikely. She was upset about that, even though Koga had howled back to her. She wanted to go to Koga and see him again. But how would she know if his pack was hostile or welcoming to lone wolves? She sighed, and sat down, looking at her paws.

Koga stood threre, half expecting Kaito to come out of the forest with Finnick. He sighed when she didn't and continued digging.
Mahka smiled. "That sounded like a female. Do you know her?" Although talking made her stomach ache, she wanted to know.
Koga nodded. "Yes, actually, I do." He paused, and chuckled. "I helped her save her friend, a fox..."
Mahka giggled. "That's nice."
Chza listened to the conversation. She knew Koga liked this wolf... just his facial ex
pression when he talked about her gave it away. She sighed, and sat down, wondering if she would ever get a mate. How in the world did Koga get two... almost-mates? Possibly three?
And she had none.

Amburus padded over to Cheza. "Hello!" He said.
Kaito sat down next to Finnick, sighing.
"You like him." Finnick snickered. "Don't you?"

Cheza looked over to Amburus, and smiled, but grimly. She barked, "Hi," And continued to listen to Koga and Mahka.

Koga let out a huge sigh of relief when finished the den. It wasn't nearly the size of the other two dens, but good enough for Amburus, Cheza, Mahka, and hisself. He turned to Mahka, Amburus, and Cheza, and barked. "It's done!" He looked back into the den, and said, "It would be good for you," He said, talking directly to Mahka, "Amburus, Cheza, and... myself."
Mahka smiled and nodded. "You're staying, too?" She barked, her pale green eyes filled with delight.
"Of course. I can't leave you again, even if we are a few paw steps away."

Amburus laid his ears back. "...Cheza? Are you alright? You look upset." He glanced over at the den for a moment, the one Koga had dug. "Cool, Koga." He said, before turning back to Cheza as he waited for her to answer.

Cheza nodded. "I'm fine. It's just..." She looked over to Koga, and then back where Haji and Lythia, Neveah and Gangvar were. She laid her ears onto her head, and sighed. "I don't know. I'm already 2 years old. Shouldn't a wolf my age have a mate? I mean, look at Neveah and Gangvar. They found each other at my age..." She looked back over at Amburus after gazing at Neveah and Gangvar's den for a while. She felt very awkward telling Amburus this, since she had liked him since... forever. She hoped it wouldn't make Amburus feel awkward, also.

"Cheza..." Amburus's voice trailed off. "...what're you talking about? I thought we liked eachother." He said. "I mean, I liked you, at least, and you seemed to like me back. But...I just never really wanted to talk about it. Not around the pack. And we were never really alone." He looked down at his paws, embarassed that he'd just said all that. "But if I was wrong, and you don't like me, and you want someone better...I understand." He laid down, almost completely sure she would say that she liked somebody else.

Cheza's ears perked up and she looked at Amburus. "Really? You like... me?" A grin spread across her muzzle. "Because I like you too..." The smile couldn't escape her muzzle, and she felt so, so happy.

Koga and Mahka smiled as they listened to the conversation.
Koga padded over to Mahka, and picked her up onto his back. "Well, we better go inside. See if it's good." He padded into the den, and set Mahka down inside, against the wall.
Mahka smiled, and wagged her tail. "It's comfy, and warm." She smiled as her tail thumped against the ground.

Amburus smiled. Sort of out of happiness, but mostly just out of relief. He didn't really know what to say. He was awkward with comversations like these. He then looked over at the den. "Look, Cheza." He said, gesturing towards it. "We should go inside."

Cheza nodded, "Yeah." She padded over to the den, and crawled inside. It was small, but there was some 'elbow room', and it seemed very comfy. She settled herself onto the den floor, and laid down, waiting for Amburus to come in.

Koga nodded. He laid down next to Mahka, and both of them smiled, happy to be together again.

Amburus padded into the den, and laid down next to Cheza. It's a little cramped in here, he thought.
Kaito repeated the howl from earlier.

Cheza laid her head on her paws, but lifted her head as she heard the howl from earlier.

Koga lifted his head and laid his ears against his head. "Maybe I should go see if something's wrong..." He said, staring outside the den and into the forest.
Mahka nodded. "Go ahead. But make sure you get back... safely." She barked. He knew this wolf was important to him in some way.
Koga hesitated to leave his sister and the others, but decided that He really wanted to see Kaito. He got up and padded outside the den. He looked back in, and said, "I'll be right back." And he walked toward and into the forest.

Kaito sighed. Koga didn't seem to be coming. It was disappointing. Frustrating, really.
Amburus fell asleep.
