Sitting in her shop on Sugar Cube Corner, Mariotta sighed. She watched as Willamette carried of an armfull of sweets. Someone else's sweets. All around her were smooth, sleek, and stylish displays of her delicate delights. She didn't know why so many ponies preferred Pinkie's garish desserts over her own flaky, light creations. They were individual masterpieces, whereas Miss Pie's treats were monstrocities, ful to the brim of tooth-rotting sugar and all other manner of terror. Signing once more she rested her head on the counter, trying to console herself by thinking how at least her shop was tasteful.

Strolling through Ponyville, Cherry Blossom took a lungfull of spring air, releasing it with a pleasant smile. She greeted all those who nodded to her, their cheer improved by watching how flowers just seemed to perk up around her. Well , gifts were gifts, and while Cherry may nothave been cut out for Weather or Delivery, she was definitely a plant girl. Why should all pegasus have aerial jobs? They shouldn't.

So when she saw a little filly all alone and wilting like an abused flower, it was only instinct that took her in that direction. Her voice was soft and pleasant, cherry eyes shining even as thepale pink feathers of her wings fluttered as they shifted against her back. "Why the frown, kiddo? It's the start of spring. Time for all the little saplings to bloom with color, but from here it looks like your only hue is blue."

Angel was sitting on a cloud, bandaging a small parrokeet's wing. She gave it some medicine, and flew down with it on her back. " Here you go, Mayor Mare. Tweeters should be fine after some rest." she said, smiling. The Mayor nodded a thanks, and paid Angel 10bits. "You two take care!" she called after them, and stored the money at her cloud-home.

Jazz smirked as she looked at the other pegasus. She put her goggles on, and got into racing position. " Ready, set, GO!!" the mailmare, Ditzy Doo, called. In a flash, Jazz was off. She kicked clouds, dashed through them, and dived towards them. This was one of the weather patrol games. And she liked it. Jazz bounded from cloud to cloud, leaving the other pegasus in her dust. She raced towards the finish line, and soared through the red tape. Cheers and holllers were thrown at her victory. Jazz smiled, and started to fly down to see if any fog was left.

Fireflight(who is now a filly), was lounging in a tree, waiting for something to happen.

"Oh.. Well, it's an acceptable mistake.. No harm done, at least," Stardust replied on the topic of the crash. "And I've actually been here my whole life. Ever since I was the tiniest filly. I don't really have anything delivered to my home, so you probably haven't given me anything." She spread out her wings and shook them to get some loose dirt out of the feathers. Tucking them in once more, she noticed the word 'party'. "A.. a party? Perhaps.. perhaps I may come. If she's trying to compete with Pinkie Pie, she's going to have to have lots of guests, too. But I am not sure." Stardust looked over the events and noticed that everything was answered. "Well, I should be on my way. Maybe I will run into you later..?" With that, Stardust started to walk towards... well.. towards somewhere. Who knows where? It'll be sort of like an adventure. A really... really mild adventure.

Willow Whisp looked up and quickly gasped.  She hid her face quickly.  The little filly had no idea who this pony was.  But she managed to look up.  Her eyes wide, she scanned the pony.  The pony was pretty and she said nice things.  "W...w..w-well.." Willow said in a barely audible tone.  After that, she didn't know what to add.  She wasn't used to talking openly, especially to another pony.  After all, anybody could say that what she said was wrong.  After all, it usually was.  Willow Whisp finally found her words for a moment.  "I-it's complicated.." she softly spoke.

Fireflight spotted a filly. He seemed there was nothing better to do, so he hopped down and walked towards her. " Hey~ What's up?" he asked. ' Aren't you in my class? Willow Whisp, right?" he said, smiling. His tail swished. " Haven't really seen ya 'round. Glad I did today." he smiled.

Willow Whisp hid her face once more when a filly came by.  Didn't he know?  She "had a disease".  She was ridiculed.  Hated.  Picked on.  Willow was a victim to everybody, even the lowest of the low.  Nerds picked on her and it even hurt.  Everything went deep.  But the thing was, with this filly, he didn't know of her much.  How could he not?  She was practically infamous.  If he knew more of the going-ons at school, right now, he'd be straying far away from Willow.

Cherry shook her head, snorting. "Nonsense! Don't be silly, filly. Hee hee, rhymes are fun. Now, you look like a wilting little flower. How can Cherry cheer you up? I can tell pretty good jokes. Or if you just wanna talk, I'm a darned good listener." She gave her biggest brightest smile, sharing it with Fireflight. "This little filly needs som help smiling. Would you like to help me make that happen? 'Cause nothing gets me down faster than sad little saplings."

A blue pony trotted up to a greenish pony and whinied, laughing at the way her friend had made her hair. The other pony glared at her, but the good mood that her friend was in stopped her anger. "Ya, ya, laugh all you want, I didn't have time this morning." The librarian sighed, headbutting the blue pony.

"So, Even I had time and UI woke up... 4 minutes ago." Dewfall ,the blue one, laughed, her horn throbbing with a blue light, showing that she was getting ready to do some magic. "I'm going to fix your mane." Moondrop backed up, a scared look on her face. 

"ummm.... Dew, you aren't fantastic at magic yet, you might want-" It was too late, Dew had made Moondrop's mane straight and it flowed over the side of her head. Her tail was also straighter than the bird-nest mess it had been before. "Wow, you did it right this time." Her voice had a hint of amusement as she gazed at herself in a puddle from the night's dew.

Willamette trotted happily around her home, decorating the walls, celing and floor with streamers, bows and balloons. "My party is sure to be a hit with Pinkie Pie gone" She said cheerily. She didn't actually know that she had gone anywhere, however becasue she hadn't had a bouncing pink pony outside her door, she knew she must be far away. "Now, For the invitations!" She cheered merrily, heading over to a basket filled with blue, green and orange invitations.

Scrunching her eyes tightly, her horn started to glow, this was followed by a woosh, as hundereds of invitations flew from the windows and doors. "Fly my pretties!" she cackled merrily before falling on the floor.

Spearmint Shrugged, turning around only to be wacked in the face by a blue piece of paper. "Gah." she yellped, stumbling around, bumping into a tree. "Will, I get it!" She yelled, taking the paper from her face. confettie poofed into the air followed by directions to Willamette's house.

"Crazy pony." she muttered. 

Willow just glanced up at the two.  She looked to the clouds and acknowledged it silently.  But what she was surprised by was that Fireflight called her pretty.  "I-I'm not pretty.." she started to protest, but stopped herself.  Looking up at Cherry, she answered her question.  "I mean.. I could talk.. but this would be the first time I'd have a listener.  Nobody listens to me.. Or at least nobody wants to even see me at school.  Nobody likes me anyways," Willow Whisp said solemnly.

Stardust went into town and saw Mariotta's sweet shop.  Everything looked quite nice.  Plus, she had skipped breakfast this morning.  Only now did Stardust notice her growling tummy.  Pushing the door aside, she went into the shop and saw Mariotta.  "Hello.  May I have one of your sweets?  Which one do you say is the best?" she said, smiling.

Mariotta looked up from her grumblings, eyes wide with joy. "Well well well! A customer at long last. Welcome to Delicate Delights. I would recommend the sweet nut roll. It is always wonderful and never overpowering. The apple tart is also quite good, if I may say so myself." She motioned to both sweets, watching Stardust with a kind of eager anticipation.
