"Okay!" Naomi cried and raced after the other tiger before stopping a few yards away from a large horse like thing with antlers and broad hoofs that looked like they would hurt if she got too close. She stumbled back' landing on a stick and then cursed herself for her poor ability to be quiet. The elk's ears were pointed now as if it was excepting danger...

Lakra shook his head in disgust. She was acting like a cub. Still, he supposed it was understandable. He'd just have to kill this one himself, is all. Springing forwards, he shouted over his shoulder, ''Watch and learn, cub!'' He caught the back of the elks hide with his sharp claws, his leap having brought him right to it, just as it began to run. He called out to her once more; ''Jump on its back so I can let go and suffocate it!'' He yelled.
Well now. I should... Probably put something intelligent here. At some point. Eventually.

"I'm not a cub." she muttered to herself before sending herself flying at the elk and pouncing on its body. Instinct took over and she latched her teeth down on the elk's neck, feeling itts life pour into her. To her surprise, it felt good...

Lakra grinned, through the mouthful of fur he had, that is. It looked like she was getting the gist of things already, strangling the great beast on her own. He didn't have long to think this, though, as the beast began its death throes, and began kicking wildly. One of its hooves met his stomach, towards the side, and his eyes widened slightly as he realized what was happening. Being kicked off its back, he fell heavily to the floor, worrying about Naomi, and if she'd be ok on her own.
Well now. I should... Probably put something intelligent here. At some point. Eventually.

Naomi pushed her body weight on to the elk, not allowing it to push her off as she finally succeeded in killing it. She got off his back and her eyes, which had changed to a blood red color, were back to nomal. She blnked, wondering what had just happened...

Lakra groaned and stood up shakily, stumbling slightly. Shaking his head, attempting to get rid of the fuzziness that had just taken over, he smiled at her. ''Nice work, cub.'' He said softly, his pride in the fact she had made a kill evident in his eyes, even though there was a trace of pain, too. He was wincing slightly, but he refused to fall.

"So, do we get to eat it?" Naomi asked, ignoring the cub comment. She didn't wait for the answer and instead pouncd on the body and sank her teeth into it, tearng off the elk meet wth her strong incizors. The kill melted down her throat and she moaned in ecstacy. It was 10x better than the meat in the zoo...

''Yes, we do.'' Lakra replied, smiling. She was so lost; so confused. It was almost adorable. Walking heavily to the carcass, he tore into it with strong jaws, ripping chunks and letting them slide down his throat. He left the majority of the good bits for Naomi; she deserved it. Not only had she never eaten a truly fresh kill, but she was the one who killed it. As he swallowed, though, he felt intense pain in his ribcage and winced slightly, but it was, for the most part, unnoticable, and he continued eating as though nothing was wrong.
Well now. I should... Probably put something intelligent here. At some point. Eventually.

"Are you alright?" Naomi asked, finally noticing how her friend seemed to be in pain. Her mind flashed back to the bucking elk and then realized why he hadn't been there to help her kill it. "Did the elk kick you?" She wondered and then winced, from this vigourous exercise, her old bullet wound was aching with pain. She shook away the minor discmfort, more worried about Lakra...

''I'm fine.'' Lakra responded, his pride taking over. ''Yes, it did, but only barely.'' He said, full, now, and stretching, only to wince once more. ''Come. It's been light for an hour already, and we're yet to travel a mile. We should get going.'' He said, eager to leave the elk behind and get going, even though it hurt with every step he took.

"So, are you going to tell me what's wrong now?" She asked, licking the meat and blood off maw with her long, scratchy tongue. "It'll help pass the time." Naomi commented nonchalantly. She started walking the direction he had been going before meeting her and then realized, this was the opposite of the way she wanted to go. "Hey, could we go up north. I want to meet your clan..." She muttered...

Lakra shook his head and sighed. ''Tigers are solitary creatures, Naomi. We don't have 'clans'. We are born, sometimes with elder brothers or sisters, to a single mother. We may see our father around occasionally, and talk to him, but that's it. Once we reach a certain age, we leave home and look for territory of our own. As I was doing before I met you.'' He didn't stop walking forwards, but kept going, not really caring whether she followed or not.

Naomi sighed and began walking north. "I guess this is where we part ways." she shrugged her broad shoulders as she walked, going out of view. She might not survive without him, but she would do what she could to find those who cared about her. Some distant memory pinged in her mind, but she ignored it, pushing the white, icy-eyed tiger image to the back of her mind...

Lakra would've kept on walking without her, save for the fact he found himself unable to walk. The pain had intensified greatly, and he stumbled and fell, falling to the floor in a heap, giving a slight groan. Great. That elk must've bruised his ribs or something. Today, thaings really weren't going his way at all.

She heard a gunshot and looked down to see a smokey patch where the bullet had landed a few feet away. "Darnit!" She heard a shout and turned to see the hunter taking aim again, causing her to flee farther north as the hunter chased after her, brandishing his gun...

Lakra heard a gunshot, and jumped to his feet immediately, giving out a magnificent roar at the same time as he experienced a huge wave of pain. Walking as quickly in the direction of the noise as he could, hoping to get there before it was to late, he winced with every step.
