Ryu watched her, tilting his head slightly. He followed her, but unlike her, no memories came back to him. It was as if the shadow person, who stood nearby, was blocking them. He shook his head. -That can't be right...can it?- He wondered to himself.
The shadow watched the two of them in curiosity. The girl seemed suddenly very happy, while the man just seemed to get a little more tense, and uneasy about something.
Kaylee watched as the group wandered in long enough for Summer to grab her keepsakes and leave to go swimming. Releasing the breath she was holding she turned and pulled the boys out of their hiding spot and pointed to the people at the lakes edge.
After making sure they saw it, she motioned for them to be quiet and wait til they were underwater to escape. The new addition to their group would be able to move easier now that the shadows had expanded with the sun going down.
Ryu had watched everything with curious eyes. -I wonder what would happen if they had seen us.- He said telepathically to kaylee.
The shadow heard, though ryu had not intended for it to be so. He gave no response however, as he moved from shadow to shadow. Enjoying their safety and comfort.
~I dont have a clue, but i dont want to find out either.~ she hummed. Running silently, the group slowly made its way up to the castle looming up ahead.
Kaylee chuckled at Ryu's reaction.~well of course, its a memory silly.~ she saw a few torches blaze to life as the sun disappeared behind the hills and she led her rag-tag team up to a hidden entrance to the castle that servants used to sneak in and out of the grand palace.
~I dunno, I'm going to hover up there to see if i can find anyone.~ Snapping her wings out she silently flew up to the balcony only to be greeted by their corpses. Looking around she couldn't see anything but a rustling sound behind her made her turn around sharply. The shape was disfigured when she spotted it and she began to chase it as it began to flee. "Get back here!" she yelled.
It continued to flee. It ran through some moonlight. The form was that of what looked like a mix between a reptile of some sort and a weasel...like a long dragon without wings, but more vicious, if that were possible...or would that be more cunning. It went up on its hind legs and turned its head to look at her, hissed, then took off again.
The shadow being noticed her problem and moved and tackled the creature. His eyes then widened as he stared at it in both shock and horror. He was looking at himself...or what he had once been. A creature of darkness that the only one who could control him was a person in the employ of the king of the castle.
