((... Darkleaf said Thunderbird instead of Thunderpaw in the second speaking centence. XD))
"Very well," Crimsonstar spoke sharply, and he turned around to look at Blackclaw and Snakesting. It looked very suspicously like Crimsonstar were sizing the two up. Finally Crimsonstar turned around to face Thunderbird and Darkleaf. "It will just be me and Blackclaw, thenn.." Hearing this, Snakesting melted back into the crowd, showing no dissapointment, anger, or happiness that he wasn't chosen. "Shhall we?" Crimsonstar said, stepping foreward. Blackclaw stepped foreward too, but stayed, still, behind Crimsonstar as every other cat were.

((Oops, I didn't mean it XD)) Darkleaf gritted his teeth in frustration. He was never going to hear the end of bringing a dangerous cat into the camp, especially after deliberately disobeying rules to take more than one escort. He flexed his claws slightly and his pelt shivered. "Thunderpaw, go ahead and inform the clan of our arrival," Darkleaf ordered, mentally apologizing for sounding so snappy at the warrior. He led the way to camp carefully, taking the most difficult route that he could imagine. He snorted in fake frustration when they met a steep crag of a deap end. "Oops, sorry Crimsonstar," he said, trying to sound sincere, "I must have taken a diverting path by accident, I don't normally go out much."

Thunderbird nodded, and sped off as fast as her legs could go, tail straight behind her. She rushed it camp, panting, and managed to say, "The Clan Pippen talked about--leader is coming here--Darkleaf is coming with him--called CrimsonClan, leader is named Crimsonstar, he's a tom."
Crimsonstar narrowed his eyes, but said nothing at Darkleaf's apology about 'going the wrong way'.

((*blinkblink*)) "Is he completely insane?!" Gladestar barked in alarm. "What else did he tell them?" Her tail lashed in worry. What kind of idiot would reveal the camp's permission to the leader of a clan of rogues? She hissed in fury. "Nevermind, we're going to meet them half way instead." she said. "Winterfrost!" Gladestar yelled, coming out of her den. Once the cat had approached, she launched into orders, "Gather Flareblink, Pippen, and Blackpaw, this is urgent." --- Darkleaf bit his tongue in worry before leading Crimsonstar and Blackclaw towards camp. No more messing around now, Thunderbird had to have gotten to camp by now. He took the most direct route, the one that medicine cats used most commonly because of the abundance of herbs that grew among the crags. The only downside was the footing; there was an abundance of sharp rocks prepared to stab any cat who wasn't used to the mountains. "Have you had any trouble with foxes?" Darkleaf ventured, trying to slow progress with conversation.

"Yess..." Crimsonstar took the conversation bait, and spat at the ground. "there was two foxes on our territory a while back. But we chased one off, and managed to kill the other. I hope it did not go into your territory? If so, I am terribly sorryy, we didn't believve there was any catss inhabiting the forest heere." He grinned, showing a row of spiky, sharp teeth. "We have so many members, it's very simple, taking downn onne foxx.."
Winterfrost nodded quickly then sped off, his tail flicking nervously. What was the worry about? "Pippen, Blackpaw! Come here! Flareblink!" "Woah, hold your horses," Pippen grumbled, standing up and preening herself slowly before heading over to Winterfrost. "..... I don't believe we have any horses, and I don't know how we could hold them," Winterfrost said, confused. "It's an idiom, mouse-brain!" Pippen glared at Winterfrost. "What's an i-" Winterfrost started, but Pippen cut in. "Oh, for StarClan's sake! I'm just telling you to wait a bit! Gosh, I didn't believe forest cats could be so dumb sometimes."
Blackpaw walked casually over to the two cats, clearly not noticing the irritation crackling between them. "What is it, deputy-cat?" he asked, narrowing his eyes. "I don't know, but Gladestar will explain once Flareblink gets over here," Winterfrost replied.

"It actually did enter our territory," Darkleaf said, a sharp pang in his heart. "the fox severely injured our warrior Sageburn, she will likely have to retire now without a proper tail." Flareblink hurried over inquistively, this seemed pretty urgent. He sat in a neat heap with the other cats and waited for explanation quietly, trying to remain calm. "Don't sit down!" Gladestar snapped. Flareblink stood hastily, any shred of confidence or serenity was gone now; "What is it Gladestar?" he asked. "Darkleaf, just like the mouse-brained fool he is, is leading a patrol of enemy cats straight to our camp. We are all going to hopefully catch him halfway. I as.sume that he'd be taking the medicine cat trail that leads into the clearing from behind the medicine den, so we'll go through there and hope for the best." "What if Darkleaf comes though the main entrance?" Flareblink asked. Gladestar paused, contemplating. If Darkleaf took the main pathway into camp, they would already be halfway down the medicine trail. "Winterfrost will remain here then, and if the enemy cats arrive, the clan is to call you Winterstar, and I Gladewhisker for the time being. We wouldn't want to seem like an unstable clan, with its leader randomly missing from camp." Gladestar paused, letting her cats grasp the situation. "Pippen, a word before we leave, quickly." she said hurriedly. She wanted to speak to Pippen privately at least for a moment. "Winterfrost, could you call a clan meeting and briefly inform the rest of the clan?" ((Awesome. I didn't know you were such a darn epic dawer. I like your psygir drawing. :D What's the meeting place called? HighCliff or sumthin?)) Winterfrost nodded, and yowled loudly, "may all cats gather under HighCliff!" he stood upon it, and waited patiently for cats to gather. "Darkleaf, our well-known medicine cat, is bringing the leader of another Clan here. His name is Crimsonstar, and the Clan is called CrimsonClan. Gladestar, Blackpaw, Pippen, and Flareblink will try and meet them half-way so they do not reach the camp." There was a ripple of unease in the crowd of cats. Pippen, why Pippen? She wasn't even part of the Clan yet! But Winterfrost lifted his paw, and continued. "Here is an important part: if the reach the camp, Gladestar will not be here. So, you all must remember as hard as you can that I am to be called winterstar while these other Clan cats are here, so we do not seem to be shown as a disorganised, unstable Clan."
Pippen nodded and quietly came over to Gldestar. "What is it, gladestar?" She asked quietly, wondering what the Clan leader was going to say to her.

Ashflight's fur stood on end, making her very amusing to look at. "Winterstar? But you are the deputy! Starclan would never approve!" she yowled, a little louder than necessary. She quieted quickly, realizing that her reaction was mostly about the panic. "Pippen, I'm cutting your time short, out of urgency. I will not have a rogue potentially enemies of this other clan in my camp. you may choose the first half of your warrior name, and I the second half should you choose to stay. If not, you are to leave immediately so that the rest of us may continue," Gladestar said, her tone was harsh and snappier than normal, but she didn't figure that Pippen would take offense.

Pippen took a deep breath. This would be a hard decition. She really loved being a rogue, but she found herself a new heart in this Clan. After a moment of thinking, her eyes closed, her eyes widened, and slowly, she said the single word, "cricket," she had always loved crickets. When she was younger, and she had still had that red collar with the bell on it, she would watch crickets jump up through the gr@ss at night, while she had watched them, her head tilted in interest. Her heart almost burst with emotions. If cats could cry, she would certainly do it now. Her old name had been erased now. She was now Cricket, soon to become Cricketjump, Cricketstone, or something other.
Winterfrost stared at Ashflight, his gaze serious. "I don't like it more than you do, but I will not be leader, I will just be called leader, for the sake of the Clan. I believe StarClan would approve."

Gladestar paused thoughtfully and then nodded in approval. "We'll do a quick ceremony and be off, there isn't time to spare." Gladestar trotted forward out of her den and put a tail on her deputy's shoulder, signaling that he may leave. "We also gather here today to introduce a new warrior into our strong, but small clan," she began in a loud tone, causing the cats in the clearing to fall silent with interest. No doubt it's Blackpaw! Sageburn purred to herself, sitting carefully at the opening of the medicine cat's den swelling with pride, her half tail flicking painfully. "Pippen," Gladestar meowed, not giving any other cat time to react, she continued, "You have not trained precisely long in our clan, but you have learned skills as a rogue that make you almost equal to a fully trained warrior. You have chosen the first half of your name to be Cricket because of you fascination with the insect. Do you accept to live by and uphold the warrior code and protect your clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Pippen took a painful deep breath. She wasn't sure what to say, but for a moment, she was sure StarClan had taught her heart the words. "I do," she said loudly, but a little bit squeakily.
Blackpaw glowered in a corner. His attitude had gotten better! He should become a warrior, after helping the two warriors fight off the fox! He glanced at Sageburn. Was she feeling annoyed that her apprentice wouldn't become a warrior after nearly six moons of training? Blackpaw couldn't tell.

((Sowwy...)) "Then by the power of Starclan, you will be called Cricketcomet, for your wits and your perfect timing. MountainClan needed a wake up call." It was quiet for a moment before Fatepaw let out the first cry of approval. "Cricketcomet!" he yowled, and the rest of the clan joined heartily. Gladestar smiled at her clan and then touched her nose to Cricketcomet's forehead. "There is no time to loose, my dear," she said softly, then she cleared her throat. "Remember Winterfrost's orders," she said, addressing the clan. "Flareblink, Blackpaw, Cricketcomet, follow me." she ordered, not wasting any time in leading the patrol out through the medicine den. --- *repost from Darkleaf to Crimsonstar* "It actually did enter our territory," Darkleaf said, a sharp pang in his heart. "the fox severely injured our warrior Sageburn, she will likely have to retire now without a proper tail."

"Ohh, that's too baddd..." Crimsonstar murmured, his eyes flashing. "one less good warrior in your Clann..." his head snapped up. "are we almost there?" he snapped loudly, glaring at Darkleaf.
Blackpaw growled and followed Cricketcomet, who was ahead of him, out through the den.

Darkleaf stopped in his tracks and gritted his teeth harder. This was more than he could bear. "You dare insult me by asking such a question?" he yowled, his temper besting him. He did well to keep his claws sheathed, to show that he was more offended than aggressive. "Might I remind you that you are in my territory and not your own, so have some manners." "Calm yourself Darkleaf," Gladestar snapped, her and her patrol emerging from the brush. Her eyes were furious as she glared at the medicine cat. "Return to camp immediately," she said harshly, watching the medicine cat grumble as he went. "I apologise on his behalf," Gladestar said, meeting the powerful cat's slit-eyed glare. "I am Gladestar, and these are my warriors, Blackpaw, Cricketcomet, and Flareblink. I am afraid you are intruding." Her claws unsheathed. She noticed that the other cat was proportionally larger than her, and had a fierce-looking warrior. Gladestar was confident she had more.

Crimsonstar hissed at Darkleaf, then focused his narrow, dangerously angry gaze on Gladestar. "Intrudingg? Howw could my Clann be tressp@ssing, when we only just realized there was a Clan in the mountainss?" and he spat at Gladestar's face. "you shouldn't do that," Cricketcomet said in a very dangerously soft tone. Without warning, she slashed out at Crimsonstar's throat, and the large tom fell to the ground, gurgled, then was silent. Cricketcomet's eyes glazed over in fear. "I-I-I d-" but she stopped, for Crimsonstar was stirring. He stood up slowly, then smirked at the frozen Cricketcomet. "Oh, yess, my swweet, I do have nine. But sadly, because of you, I now only have eighht..." and with a flick of his tail, he and his warriors left, leaving a few ominous words. "This is not overr..."
Cricketcomet stared at Gladestar , afraid of what the leader would say to her about what she had done. "He spat in your face," she said pointedly, feeling the burning sensation of family with Gladestar and the cats surrounding her.
Blackpaw stared at the pool of blood that had come from Crimsonstar's wound. He felt as if he had become frozen, and his mouth was in a giant 'O'. He snapped his mouth shut and tried to look away. It's fine. I'm not scared of it, it's just like red water...
((Is what Cricketcomet did a little bit too overpowered or something? Just want your opinion. But it is true, the element of surprise and a good-aimed swipe at the throat could kill a cat. And Cricketcomet is an impulsive cat.))

((I think it's fine, it's your character. :3)) Gladestar stared after Crimsonstar, and slowly unsheathed her claws. "This is not good,"she said vaguely, staring at the pool of blood. "Why would Starclan bless a cat like that?" she flicked her ears and finally akwoledged the other cats. "Cricketcomet, what you did was wrong; a warrior does not have to kill to win her battles..." Gladestar paused, "But I can't imagine I would have done anything less."
