Darkleaf breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you, Wingpaw," he said, "Could you fetch them for me please?"

Orangepaw's eyes brightened slightly, "Sounds great, Winterfrost!" he said before following Bladeheart and Minnowfoot towards the border.

It wasn't long before Bladeheart could smell something odd, a rogue no doubt. "Stay quiet and tread lightly," Bladeheart warned.

Sageburn's tail flicked. "Of course not, Blackpaw, I was only wondering if you would follow orders without question. Consider it a test that you failed.  Fatepaw is 7 moons younger than you and took the order just fine."

Fatepaw flushed in embaras.sment. He hadn't wanted to upstage Blackpaw at all! He didn't want to be on her bad side; not now, not ever.

((Correction: his bad side.))

Blackpaw glowered at Fatepaw. It was just a simple question! He hissed at himself. "Hmmp. Will we go now?"
Pippen inspected the Clan cats from in the bush. They could scent her, she knew  by the way they had lifted their nose to the air and let in the air, which had her scent in it. Three against one, not very fair. How inconsiderate of them, she thought to herself.
she backed away. If they found her, she'd be dead. Everycat knew how vicious the Clan cats were.
"Yes Dakleaf!" Wingpaw bounced up to collect the herbs. She came back to Darkleaf with the herbs in her mouth.
"Give them to Goldstream now?" She asked through a mouthfull of the bitter herbs.

((But you said she earlier. o_o

"Oh sure, as long as he doesn't point out the fact I'm a she-cat, and toms are more superior." Page 2))

Darkleaf shook his head no. "I still need to mix them, Wingpaw," he chuckled, somewhat amused. He gently took the leaves from his apprentice and put all except two into the storage place. The two he kept out were then crushed and put into a small indentation in the rock, where he added a reddish herb, also crushed. He mixed them up with his paws. "Wingpaw, could you fetch me a piece of prey please? A good one."

Sageburn gave a curt nod and led the way out of camp. "Thunderstorm, could you take Fatepaw a little further east? We wouldn't want these two getting in each other's way," she said.

Bladeheart flattened her ears. "I think I see her," she said softly to Orangepaw. She turned to Minnowfoot and motioned with his tail to go around and cut off the trespas.ser. Minnowfoot obeyed swiftly, taking his place near the stream, ready to strike if the rogue ran. "Orangepaw, go back to camp and alert Gladestar," Bladeheart ordered.

Orangepaw nodded and scampered off back to camp.

((That's Thunderbird saying that, not Blackpaw. Thunderbird was saying that about Blackpaw.))
"Mousedung!" No point in being quiet now, Pippen thought angrily. They already have me cornered.
"Yes Darkleaf," Wingpaw went to the fresh-kill pile in the middle of the clearin, selected a plump rabbit for darkleaf and a grouse for herself, then paddd back to her mentor. "This good?" She asked, putting the rabbit at his feet.
"Good idea," Thunderbird agreed. "we don't want them fighting over some kill."

((Pssst... *pokes For The Kill*))

"Thank you, Wingpaw," Darkleaf purred, giving his apprentice a swift lick on the forehead. He then cut the rabbit through the belly with his claws, stuffing the poultice inside the meat. He took a second to gaze at his handiwork before picking up the rabbit and taking it to the nursery. "Goldstream," he said, dropping the prey. "I put a poultice in this fresh kill for you, it'll help the development of your kits."

Fatepaw shivered at the aspect of Blackpaw tearing his pelt off because they had both been aiming for the same mouse. He followed Thunderbird without any hesitation.

"Alright," Sageburn said, sitting down and wrapping her tail around her paws. "This is where you go on with your hunt," she said. She could already smell mice in the flats, and hear the screeches and war cries of hawks above. "I'll be watching in case anything goes wrong."

Bladeheart bristled with hostility. "Come out intruder," she ordered. Minnowfoot growled and unsheathed his claws.

Orangepaw arrived in camp, panting his heart out. "Winterfrost, thank Starclan you haven't left yet! We found a rogue on our land, I think Bladeheart and Minnowfoot plan on bringing her back as a prisoner."

Goldstream stared at the rabbit suspicously. "It'll taste fine, right?" she hated the taste of bitter herbs in her mouth. Even if it would taste bad, Goldstream knew not to disobay a medicine cat.
"Okay," with that, blackpaw raced off to search for kill.  Once he was sure he was a considerable disdance from his mentor, he lifted his head up and breathed in the scent of the forest. The trees, gr@ss, moss, some mushrooms, mice, and a faint whiff of rabbit. Blackpaw started to follow the rabbit's scent trail.
"You'll be hunting here," Thunderbird said after a while of walking the opposite direction of Blackpaw and Darkleaf.
"Don't run into Blackpaw," Thunderbird warned, and she let Fatepaw go ahead.
Pippen hiss and revealed herself quietly.

"Probably not," Darkleaf admitted. "But eat as much as you can around the middle."

Sageburn waited for Blackpaw to be completely out of sight before following his scent carefully. Soon, she spotted the apprentice, and as quick to hide in a bush. She was careful not to let it rustle as she hid.

Fatepaw nodded to Thunderbird, and silently, he trekked into the denser part of the flats, where there were more trees. "Mouse dung!" he hissed softly as a squirrel practically flew up a tree right in front of him. He dropped to a crouch instantly, but it was an imperfect crouch. His tail was flicking with tension.

"We're taking you prisoner, rogue," Minnowfoot announced coldly, "We have scented you many times on our territory."

Pippen glared at Minnowfoot. "Normally, I would try and defend myself, but that would be quite unfair, three against one." Like you care about rules. Pippen thought to herself savagely.
Thunderbird waited, then started to follow Fatepaw's scent. She soon spotted the aprentice, and made sure to keep herself hidden. She tutted lightly when Fatepaw  went into a lousy crouch.
Blackpaw did not notice Sageburn at all, as he was too intent on catching some kill. The rabbit was close, he could almost taste it. His whiskers quivered in anticipation. He crouched, staring through the thick gr@ss at his target. He wound up and sprang, landing on his prey with a nice thump. The rabbit twitched, then fell still: it died upon Blackpaw's impact.
Blackpaw dug a small hole and tucked his catch in the small hole, making sure it was well hidden, Blackpaw went in search for more.
"Yes, Darkleaf," Goldstream ate quickly and quietly, with only the sound of crunching bones. All of a sudden, she started hacking painfully. A bone had become loged in her throat, and she was desperately trying to get it out. She stared at Darkleaf with fer in her eyes. I don't want to die! I don't want them to die! She thought, panicked.

((Do you want to just quit the other rp? You don't reply as often as this one. O.O If it doesn't interest you any more, that's fine. foxwolf, ribunny and I can go on. I won't hate you for it, fox and I really depend on your posts atm to move on is all. :3 ))

Orangepaw arrived in camp, panting his heart out. "Winterfrost, thank Starclan you haven't left yet! We found a rogue on our land, I think Bladeheart and Minnowfoot plan on bringing her back as a prisoner."

Darkleaf, thinking fast, rolled the fat queen onto her back. He stood on his hind legs and pounced down on her throat, where he could visibly see the bone bulging in her throat. He gave a growl of frustration and did it again, this time forcing the tiny bone up her throat and out her mouth, along with a considerable amount of bile. (If this is too ppish, I'll change it XD))

"Two against one," Bladeheart corrected, "We sent the apprentice to camp to alert our leader."

"You're a rogue, follow his scent trail back to camp, we'll be right behind you in case you try and get off track," Minnowfoot said hollowly.

Fatepaw wriggled slightly as the squirrel creeped slowly down the tree. So close to the ground! Fatepaw, being impatient, sprang. The squirrel dashed up the tree with a few angry chirps, sending Fatepaw face first into the tree. This wasn't going well at all.

((Nowai!))
Winterfrost bolted up. "Do they need help?" He asked quickly. "Where are they, Orangepaw?"
Goldstream gulped loudly. Her throat itched horribly, even though Darkleaf had disloged the bone with no difficulty.
Pippen hissed loudly, hen begn following Orangepaw's trail. But slowly.
Thunderbird watched carefully. Fatepaw was a young apprentice, and a few mistakes were made. He just needs to work on timing and balance, Thunderbird thought, and then he'll be fine!
Blackpaw was stalking a bird, but he had timing off on his spring. He landed loudly in a clump of bracken, and the bird flittered away, mocking him.
"Mousedung!" He spat loudly, trying to find something else to hunt.

((XD))

"They-they're on the border, close to where you scented the strange she-cat on our territory a few days ago. I don't think they need help, they only scented one rogue."

Fatepaw's tail flicked in annoyance as he glared at the squirrel in the tree. It would never come down now, and Fatepaw was a hopeless climber. He smelled the air to see if there was anything else. His fur prickled; Blackpaw's scent was on the breeze. He took the chance to walk carefully towards the first craag, where the flats ended in a steep ravine. He would have to take care not to fall.

Sageburn held back a sigh of disappointed as Blackpaw missed. At least he's a good fighter. Not all warriors hunt every day. She regained her calm, and shifted to one side of the bush, making a twig crack. She froze and cursed at herself, for not learning stealth better when Heartswipe had taught her.

Blackpaw's ears twitched as he heard the twig crack. he lifted his head and took a deep breath in. Nothing unusual, so it was probably just a small doe running around. Blackpaw focused on hunting once aain, this time successfully catching a grouse of formidable size. Proud of his kill, he buried it and continued.
"They'll be fine then," winterfrost relaxed slightly. "Come with me, Orangepaw, we'll meet them half-way."
Thunderbird had scented Blackpaw too, and sent a silent prayer to Starclan they wouldn't run into eachother. Her eyes widened slightly when Fatepaw headed towards the ravine, then she relaxed.

Fatepaw dropped into another hunter's crouch, still sloppy like the last time. There was a fat mouse scrabbling in the tall gras.s, easy prey. He didn't hesitate to spring when the mouse's back was turned, killing the mouse with a quick bite to the neck, before it could let out a cry of terror. He licked his paw for a second before leaving the mouse as prey for a hawk, crouching again in the tall gras.s. He would impress Thunderbird!

Orangepaw nodded, calming slightly when he saw Sageburn and Minnowfoot at the heals of a rogue she-cat. He had to admit that she was pretty good-looking for a non-clan cat. He had always imagined them hideous cats with no emotion or anything.

((So, Fatepaw is leaving the ouse for the hawk, so he can possibly catch the hawk?))
Pippen glowered at everyone in camp. She hated Clan cats. Every rouge did. Territory hoggers, She thought, glowering some more.
Winterfrost raised an eyebrow at Pippen. "What's you're name?" He asked.
Pippen growled. "Why should you need to know?"
Winterfrost fixed Pippen with an icey-cold stare. "Because, I don't want to call you 'rouge' all day, that's why,"
Pipen sighed. "It's Pippen, and ddon't you dare laugh, what's you're name? Mouseface?" She let out a laugh, but Winterfrost's glare silenced her.
"Someone get Gladetar," He said.

((*nodnod*))

Orangepaw scurried off to the leader's den, where he knew that Gladestar lay in wait, likely watching the camp from the safety and darkness of the small cave next to the equally petite waterfall.

Gladestar trotted out of her den before Orangepaw even came in. Her amber eyes glowered with ferocity as she examined the rogue. Her pelt was slicked flat against her skin, despite her long fur. She had been swimming recently. She stared coldly at the fluffy white cat. Though the feline's red eyes were slightly unnerving, Gladestar remained silent and unamused as she trekked across the spaced out camp, stopping dangerously close to the cat. "Pippen you said your name was?" she said in a cold voice.

Pippen understood this cats high position, and only gave a forced nod."That's my name. Don't overuse it."
Thunderbird praised the apprentice in her mind. The mouse was small, and if Fatepaw caught the hawk, it would double the prey. But if he lost the mouse, it wouldn't be such a big loss.
Winterfrost informed Glaestar where the roge had came from. "The border where we've been scenting rouge, Bladeheart, Minnowfoot, and Orangepaw caught her," At the word caught, Pippen hissed and fluffed up slightly.

Gladestar hissed in reply for silence. "I don't care where you came from, a rogue is a rogue, and a rogue who trespas.ses on clan territory is just plain stupid," Gladestar meowed, glaring at Pippen. She extended her muzzle slightly to take in the rogue's scent. "You are fit and well fed," she stated, her eyes narrowing further and her hackles rising. "You have hunted on our territory."

Bladeheart's hackles rose in sync with her leader's, and she let out a growl. Her claws slid out of her sockets. She wanted to give this rogue a lashing she'd remember before they let her run off.

From the elder's den, she could hear the meow of Angeltouch, soft enough for Gladestar to hear that her attention was wanted there. "Allow me to consult with the elders for your punishment," she said, "Winterfrost, take Pippen to Darkleaf and have her checked for fleas, ticks, etcetera," she added, turning and leaping towards the elder's cove. "Angeltouch?"

"Look at her Gladestar!" Angeltouch said, almost scolding. "And look at our warriors. What do you see?"

Gladestar looked over her shoulder and looked back. "Fur, bones and the power of MountainClan," Gladestar replied smartly.

Angeltouch rolled her eyes. "Fur and bones, Gladestar. We are few on warriors, and we have more apprentices than we can handle. That rogue is smart if she's been evading us for as long as Winterfrost reports."

"Where are you going with this?" Gladestar asked.

"If we could get her to listen to us, why wouldn't she join us?" Angeltouch meowed, proud of her idea.

Winterfrost nodded, "Yes, Gladestar." He took Pippen by the scruf and nearly dragged her to the medicine cat. "Gladestar wants this rouge searched for any sign of ticks or fleas," Winterfrost said to Darkleaf.
Pippen narrowed her eyes at Gladestar. Prey is prey is prey,  she thought angrily to herself. When they arrived in front of the medicine cat, she spat. "I guess you're going to give me some of the fox-dung herbstuff?"
Wingpaw bolted up, "It is not!" her voice shook with anger. Pippen had just insulted the herbs Wingpaw herself used, and the supplier of those, StarClan.
Pippen laughed coldly. "We rouges, we're tougher than the Cln cats, because we don't need silly herbstuff like you cats do. We toughen up, learn to live through sickness."
