Nikki's eyebrows absentmindedly furrowed, as she took in what he was saying. "See me around at the lake?" She asked, as if she didn't believe it. Of course, she had many girl friends and talked to them all the time, but it was different when it came to guys. Being one of those people that avoids them, she wasn't the best when they were around.

And, she also understood he was just trying to be nice. Making his farewell statement instead of just saying 'see ya' or something close to it, but she still felt sick at the thought of randomly seeing him again. Especially since, if her mama found out, it wouldn't be pretty. Even though the whole thing was innocent talking.

While trying to look nonchalant, she finally smiled and said, "Uhm sure. I guess I'll just see you around... At the lake. Right." She said, smiling while petting Yaya. "See you." She said with a slight nod before turning around without another word, and going on the porch swing. She would have gone inside but her mother would have a fit.

Jason gave Nikki a terse nod before departing after his fox, his hands shoved into his pockets as he turned his back to the auburn-haired girl. His steps were light as he continued down the street, but his head snapped to alertness when he heard a familiar shriek. Kuro. Jason as off in a flash, hands pumping back and forth as he flew down the street.

The wails from the fox grew louder as he approached the forest behind his small house and a chill ran up Jason's spine. Some type of figure was crouched over the fox and Jason had a bad feeling about this man. He found himself immobilized as the man turned his face toward him, nostrils flared and blood dripping from his chin. He had heard of vampire talk up north, but those were just rumors.

The man bared his fangs at Jason and he stumbled back slightly. He was about to run, but his gaze rested on Kuro's nonmoving form. With a sinister grin, the man lunged at Jason. Jace could only claw helplessly at the man's chest as the being bit into his neck, draining Jason of his lifeblood.

The man gave a sinister laugh as he slid his fangs from Jason's neck, leaving the boy crumpled on the ground. Jason groaned as the elder vampire disappeared, the sudden loss of blood making him woozy. He crawled over to Kuro and felt his stomach roll as he looked at the fox. For a few horrific moments, he thought Kuro was dead, but he could see the faint rise and fall of the creature's chest.

"Kuro," Jason rasped as he scooped the fox up into his arms. He ambled his way back home and collapsed when he got through the front door.

Ooc; I'll probably have his vampirism evolve slowly. Like first he'll only be uncomfortable under sunlight before he actually burns in it. He won't need blood for a while.

I didn't really know what to do with Nikki, so sorry for just pointless rambling bahahaha xD

When Jason left from Nikki's sight, she put Yaya on the ground, brushed off some more orange hair covering her white shirt and said quietly just for her to hear,
"C'mon Yaya. I'll take you to the back yard." as she started walking ahead and around to the fence that wrapped around the whole back yard. It was also a boundary from the forest beyond it. Yaya was trained to follow, so Nikki knew she wouldn't be running away any time soon. When she got to the back yard, she unlatched the fence door and went inside, letting it close on its own while she looked back at Yaya.
"Now, you have to stay here until Mama decides to let you stay in the house with us." She said, with her hands on her hips. Ironically, she didn't feel weird for talking to the cat. Maybe because she could turn into one herself. She knew that was why Yaya liked her so much. "I highly doubt she'll let you in anytime soon, but if your good, you never know..." She shrugged, and went back to the fence, doing a small lazy wave to Yaya as if she would wave back. She smirked to herself at how odd the situation would be to any normal person. Talking to animals wasn't the most normal thing for someone to do.

Going back to the front yard, Nikki walked up the white painted front porch and went inside her aged home. "Hey Mama? I'm going out for a bit. Yaya's out back." As Nikki didn't wait for an answer, she heard her mother stomping down the stairs and to her as Nikki started walking away.
"Don't forget your curfew, young lady!" Nikki rolled her eyes, and said,
"Its not even close to being night yet, Ma."  Irritation shown in her tone. Before she waited for her miserable mothers reply, she started for a run down the sidewalk. The forest was actually in her own back yard, but she didn't want her mother seeing her go that way, just in case she came looking, so she had to make it seem like she was going the opposite way. After a couple moments of running, she slowed and started back around to the corner where her own house was. Sneaking to the back yard, she jumped over the fence and started for a run again. Before her mother could look through a window and maybe see her, she quickly shifted to something small and unnoticable - a rabbit - as she hopped away from her house and into the woods. One glance backward ,and she saw Yaya watching curiously. Smirking with her bunny face, she kept going deeper in.
