Nylat glanced at Naigi, smiling.
"I'm fine, no worries."
But at that moment, she swayed, falling a bit against Zyano. Wincing, she quickly steadied herself, looking away and reddening a bit. She flicked her tail annoyedly, but was glad he'd been there. She turned, hobbling over toward the lake, grimacing with every step. But she wouldn't let herself seem weak in front of them, let alone Zyano. She could let out her weakness later, when she was alone. She sat by the water, not really wanting to go for a swim to clean herself off, but knowing she couldn't do it herself otherwise, and even with help cleaning, it would require her getting in the water. So, sighing, she took a deep breath, and flopped herself into the water, unhurt side first. She came up soon after, a few feet away, quickly glancing away from the trail of blood she'd left. She swam for about two minutes then decided she'd rather die of infection than freeze to death, and sloshed out of the lake, shaking weakly. She was almost positive she'd cleaned it well.

Zyano watched silently as Nylat took herself over to the lake, moving a paw forward just in case she needed help. She seemed to manage just fine though, and the giant Wolf hybrid sat on his haunches, golden eyes on the fox as Naigi shuddered inwardly. They'd been lucky, it could have ended so much worse...

Flaring her black and whire wings, she propelled herself into the air and came to a sweeping landing just on the lake edge. She padded forward and back as she watched Nylat, as worried as Zyano.

Ace remained under the tree, his eyes on the shadows, glowing slightly. Hemay not have understood just what happened, but he knew it was dangerous. He stood up, flicking his silver tail and walking to sit by Zyano, the great wolf still watching Nylat with a wary eye.

At that moment, the silence was broken as Nylat emerged from the lake,  The sand hued wolf standing and padding forward, coming to stand by the fox again as Naigi climbed onto his back.

"You know what I don't get?..." She said as Zyano glanced at her. "Why does he keep going after Nylat?"

Nylat glanced over at the approaching pair, the fiery light in her eyes dim. The will to continue on gone. For the moment, she just wanted to flop over and sleep for a week. But she knew that it couldn't happen. She padded past Zyano and Naigi, toward the tree line. She limped heavily, as her side still pained her, but she didn't let it bother her.
"The new moon lasts a few nights. Jevak will come back every night and try to kill us. And now that I'm weakened, I'll be an easy target. We have to move as soon as morning comes. Meaning, we need sleep."
She stopped as she reached the trees, and chose a rather large fern, pulling a few of its large leaves from it before wrapping her side up as best she could and sitting, facing the others.
"I'll take first watch. Once I'm asleep, its near impossible to wake me up before dawn."

Both Zyano and Naigi could only watch as Nylat prepared herself, then announced her idea. The wolf and lemur glanced at eachother, recognising at the same moment that Nylat was probably right. Whether Zyano liked it or not.

In her current state, the wolf would much have preferred for her to sleep all night while he kept watch, but if what she said rang true, which he as.sumed it did; Then Jevak was going to return, and unfortunately, Naigi nor Ace were not powerful enough to hold their own against him. With Nylat being injured, then Zyano was pretty much the only one left.

He padded forward, then sat some distance from the lake, not too far from the other three; Flopping onto his side. "Alright." He responded to Nylat, not bothering to glance over his shoulder as he sorted through his own issues.

Why did he care so much about what happened to her?... Maybe it was a hybrid thing...

Naigi had followed Zyano, and came to a stop just beside Nylat, Ace on her other side, his sea coloured eyes wary and tired. As the lemur setlled hrself into a small clump of leaves, the ocelot hybrid looked at Nylat.

"You know, salt water would be excellent for those wounds, albeit a little painful." He glanced around. "It's a pity where nowhere near that kind of water."

Standing on all fours, the cat headed towards the lake, glancing over his shoulder. "I don't feel like I'll be able to sleep. So I'll keep you company." He flicked his tail with a grin, as he jumped into the lake and swam, sure to keep Nylat and the others in his sight the entire time.

Nylat flicked her tail at Zyano and Naigi, watching Ace carefully for a few minutes before closing her eyes, focusing on using her hearing and smell. If Jevak attacked again tonight, sight would do no good. She had to concentrate on locating him. However, exhaustion from her fight and wounds overcame her, and she was soon laying on the ground, dead asleep.

((Fail post. DX But Jevak's not gonna attack again tonight, and he's still fleeing so there's nothing for him to do yet. </3))

Naigi was the first to awaken, stretching her ink black body and flapping her wings. She then sat, looking out over the sparkling lake in front of her, the just rising sun sending ribbons of lemon yellow across the top of the water.

Flisking a small ear, she glanced towards Zyano, then over towards Nylat and Ace; The ocelot finally falling asleep after an hour or so of splashing around. Yawning once, Naigi stood on all fours, then padded slowly over to Zyano, before placing two black paws on his sand coloured fur, and prodding him sharply.

With a quiet jump, Zyano rolled onto his stomach, blinking in a tired manner as he looked around for the source of disruption; his gold eyes eventually landing on the lemur at his side.
"What is it?" He asked, yawning and stretching, before sitting up and looking over immediately towards Nylat.

Naigi smiled. "Nothing. I just think we slept in a little late. The sun's rather high."

Glancing back towards Naigi, the large male wolf then looked to the sky. "So it is. Guess we should get breakfast." Flicking an ear, the male once more allowed his gaze to wander to Nylat, before standing on all fours.

Nylat sighed, not wanting to get up. She was exhausted. But the sunlight filtering through the trees was too bright to be ignored. Meaning, it was too late in the day to sleep more. She rolled over on her back, groaning at her stiff and sore side.
"Ugh. Another day. I can't wait until all of this nonsense with Jevak is over."
She rolled over onto her feet, shaking her pelt slightly to fluff out the side that was flattened from her sleeping on it. She was un successful. So, while her injured side was all poofy, her other side was flat with fur stuck to her. She gave a frustrated sigh before sitting, flicking her tail over her feet and looking at the two already awake.
"So, any ideas for breakfast?"

As both Zyano and Naigi ganced over towards the voice of Nylat, the wolf had to turn away quickly to hide his grin; The little black lemur falling to roll over the gras.s in fits of giggles at the sight of the fox's unruly fur.

Zyano, quickly getting a tight hold on his emotions, stood on all fours, the trace of a grin still visible on his face as he turned back to Nylat, his golden eyes bright. "You should take a run first. Loosen up that side of yours, sleeping can stiffen wounds considerably." He said, his voice unable to hide his amusement despite his best efforts.

Naigi eventually calmed herself down long enough to pad past Nylat, still giggling inwardly, before prodding Ace sharply to awaken the ocelot hybrid from his slumber. With a groan, the silver cat lifted a paw and placed it over his eyes. "Five more minutes..." He mumbled. Naigi, shaking her head, smiled as she prodded him again. This time, a sudden jab aimed right at one of the cats ribs. With a jump, Ace flew into the air, then glanced around quickly, his eyes still looking somewhat sleepy.

"Watizzit?!" He said, sitting and rubbing his eyes with a cat-like stroke of his paw.

Naigi laughed. "We're going hunting, or will be soon. Do you want to be left behind?

Ace closed his eyes, then streteched, his silver fur glinting in the late morning sunlight. He opened one sea green eye, then yawned and sat up, shaking his fur. "Alright, alright." He mumbled, yawning again.

Nylat sighed in frustration at thier poorly-supressed amusement. As she pas.sed Zyano in a round-about path to the lake, she flicked her tail in his face, smiling to herself. She knew he was right about running, but still, it wasn't stiff, it was just...sore. Running would probably make it worse. So, she just slipped into the water swiftly, relieved as her fur loosed on her side, so that both sides were normal now. She got out, shaking gingerly. The fern leaves seemed to have held, but she could only wonder how long. Despite her instinct screaming against it, she knew that the only way she'd ever heal completely would be with human help. Despite this realization, she was determined to not go that low. Getting help from a human was the last resort. She sighed, then resumed her composure as she turned back to the others, once again her calm and collected self.
"Again, I ask, what should be for breakfast?"

Zyano watched, his ex
pression still somewhat amused as Nylat pas.sed by, flicking a tail in his face as she went. He bent his head sideways ever so slightly, snorting at the fox hybrid's obvious displeasure over the whole situation, before sitting and allowing himself a grin. Naigi had padded over to sit by Zyano, smiling in an innocent manner as Nylat entered the lake.

Just behind the wolf and the lemur, Ace had starting cleaning his silver fur, his ex
pression still somewhat sleepy. Hell... He could have slept all day, pity Naigi was keeping her eyes on him... Stretching, the sun glinting off his sleek form, he finally padded over, sitting by Naigi and watching Nylat, being sure to continue cleaning his paws.

Once the fox had finished, Zyano shrugged in reply to her question, before sitting on his haunches and flicking an ear. "No idea. What do you think you could keep up with?" He wasn't trying to be offensive, knowing full well in the short time he'd known Nylat that she seemed to like looking after herself. He laid down, laying his head on his paws in a submissive manner. If it came to it, he'd get something for her, though he doubted she'd want that, being who she was.

Naigi stood up, and climbed onto Zyano's back as the giant wolf hybrid laid himself on the floor, laughing inwardly at the fact he looked like a little lost puppy; Though "little" wasn.t exactly the correct word... He was doing his best, she had to hand it to him. Not that she blamed him anyway... The lemur was also worried about Nylat's injuries and how she'd be able handle them... Especially when Jevak returned...

((Ima be gone for three weeks in July, sometime after my sister's bday, just to let you know. I'll tell you when I know an exact date, keh?))

Nylat shrugged.
"At this point, I'm not sure."
She stretched a bit, stopping when her side pained her. Judging by her now-limited stretching, she could probably chase a deer for a few minutes, but nothing bigger for any length of time. Anything smaller, she could catch it.
"Don't think I could catch much worth eating. Maybe a rabbit or two, but I haven't seen any yet, and they are barely a mouthful."

Lifting his head from his paws, Zyano glanced both ways, before focusing his eyes on Nylat; His ears flicking in their search for telltale signs of prey. Sitting up, the wolf hybrid paid little attention as Naigi rolled of his back, flaring her wings in order to stop herself crashing into the earth.

"I tell you what. We'll go back to that clearing with the deer, where we hunted yesterday. With any luck, there might be a lame one around, or one that is aged. You'll stand a better chance against a weaker member of the herd," Zyano allowed his toungue to fall in a wolfish grin. Chances are, if they found a large enough herd, there'd be at least one deer present that Nylat could probably deal with without much help.

He stood on all fours, before glancing at Ace and Naigi, a question on his face. Ace, having finally finished cleaning his fur, shook his head with a chuckle. "I'll come with, but I won't need to eat, seeing as I ate last night. Besides, I prefer fish over meat anyway," He stretched, the silver fur along his back bristling, before he padded towards the other three hybrids with a flick of his tail.

Naigi shrugged. "I'll come too. There are a number of decent fruit bearing trees around that area, and it's somewhat amusing to watch you hunters in your hunt," She laughed, flaring her black and white wings and lifting herself into the air, coming to land once again on Zyano's sand coloured fur.

The morning sun was strengthening above them as Zyano started to walk back towards the clearing, the gras.s surrounding the lake a bright, vivid green under the unwavering blaze, the lake itself glinting as rays of light hit the gently rolling water; Pebbles and stones easily visible under the glas.sy, clear surface. It was strange to think such a beautiful place held such dangers as Javek, though naturally, refusing to aknowledge his existance would probably prove to be fatal.

Zyano, his mind brimming with an animalistic anger at the thought of the black furred wolf, sighed as he padded under the dappled shade cast by the few stray trees that resided just before they hit the solid barrier of the wood. He wasn't particularly looking forward to another confrontation with Jevak, not that he thought they'd have much choice, but his wolfish side was almost eager to face the shadow wolf head on.

He shook his head, trying to clear his somewhat morbid thoughts... Whatever... For now, all he needed to focus on was getting something to eat... No doubt they'd all need the energy later...

Nylat followed with a scowl. Did they not expect her to be able to catch a healthy deer? Sure, she limped a bit, but that didn't mean she couldn't hunt. And she was determined to prove this. She shook out her fur, ignoring the slight shock of pain from her side. She trotted up beside Zyano, pas.sing him a bit as she followed their trail from the previous night. She caught the scent of deer, and snorted.
Stupid creatures. Returning to where they were last attacked.
She growled slightly as she stayed in the safety of the trees, circling the herd in search of a weak point, determined to show that she could catch a healthy meal. She watched carefully, and eventually, the herd shifted. There was a large buck, there in the middle, and he was facing the other direction. Nylat debated. She could go after this one, and kill him right away, or, she could hold out a chase with a doe. Bucks were less likely to run, more likely to turn and attack. Nylat made a quick decision, and, not wanting to wait, she burst out of her tree cover, sprinting after a doe she had identified as a large enough meal. She was completely healthy, but Nylat knew she could catch her.

The herd split, as she had guessed. The doe ran directly away from her. Nylat picked up her pace slightly, but just as she broke through the tree cover again, still in pursuit, a sharp pain shot through her side, and she stopped, skidding into a log. And, naturally, her momentum carried her over the log and muzzle-first into a pool of mud.

((Poor Nylat. </3))
