"Nah.Its just...she hasnt had this problem before....but I guess you're right."He smiled at her,Jhonathan was happy to have someone to talk to.His friends were no good at advice and they joked around when situations were serious."Shes the one who taught me that song that we sang together"The days when he lived close to his cousin were the best.But when Kentanu,her brother died he moved to escape the sadness."But I guess sadness follows you no matter what...."He tried to ignore his thoughts but they were unfolding and speaking louder in his head.

"You need to confront your problems, because if you run away, they get more strength and when they finally catch you, it's ten times worse." She told him. That's always what she told herself, an most of the time it worked. Maybe that's why I cry so much....she said to herself. She turned her thoughts back to Jhonathan and his cousin. "I'm sorry, though. Sadness is one of the hardest things to deal with. Sometimes it turns to depression, and then....." She shook her head, as though to rid herself of the painful memories. "But I'm here incase you want to talk."

"Ah, you don't joke too much. You just are one of those people who can find something humerous in everything." Silerous had lots of friends like that, so she was used to it. "Well, either that or you're one of those who use humor to express themselves because they know no other way." She shrugged. "But I'm not one to judge." Sometimes she could be very judgmental, and that usually hurt her knew friendships with others, so she tried not to do it much.

Jhonathan nodded,not knowing where this conversation was going.He decided to change the subject"So..how long have you played the viola?"Not only did this save him from a bad ending but he really wanted to know.Awkward silences really killed his spirit.
A flashback came to him."Jhon,why do you always laugh or try to make a situation happy?"his mother asked him."Well...being sad, sure doesnt seem to work"he replied with an edge to his voice."What else am I supposed to do?Act like it didnt happen!?"Jhonathan shook his head"No.Just dont look back and keep living life.If you keep thinking about the bad times then whats the point of even having good ones?"
Jhonathan was back into reality once more."I seemed so wise"he thought to himself,as he waited for her answer.

Silerous winced, realizing she had just brought up her ex yet AGAIN. I really need to stop talking about him, she told herself angrily. She sighed deeply. "Sorry, yet again." she apologized to Jhonathan. Silerous could only hope he didn't think she was a total nut-job, and would ignore it and answer the question.

"Uh,its alright.Um well Ive played guitar for five years and all the others are less than four years.I know its alot to learn but I was really bored"That was the truth!His days were spent learning new things and meeting new people,he really couldnt complain."I just wanted to try new things...Oh and imagination was and is still most important to me,its what my family doesnt have..."As a kid he would think of the weirdest worlds or creatures,even today he thought that it could be possible.

Silerous had no clue what to say. Whatsoever. She prepared for an awkward silence. " Imagination is a grand thing to have. I pity those who have none." And there it was. She could almost feel the silence about to pile up. She could have slapped herself, she always did this. She quiskly stood. "Uh, I have to go." She picked her purse up and hurried out the door to her car.

Jhonathan watched her go."Way to go Jhon,you scared her off!"he told himself.He threw away his trash and got into his car,he drove over to Cathy's house(his ex).She SOMETIMES provided helpful advice and information.He went up to the door and knocked,Mark answered the door and smiled."Hey Cat,its Jhon!Been a long time man!"he said as they did their handshake."Uh,I came here yesterday..."Jhon laughed.Mark smiled"Oh,right.Anyway I got the new cd!"Jhon smiled as he entered and chatted with his old friend.Mark was Cathy's brother,thats how the two best friends met.

By the time Silerous got to her car, she realized two things. One was that she acted like a jerk and two she had left her pizza in there. But there was no way she was going back to get it. She sullenly drove home, then decided to go visit her best friend in the world, D.J. Now, D.J. wasn't a guy, she was a girl and her initials stood her Dorthory Jane, a name which she hated. Arriving at her destination, she knocked on the door, and D.J. immediatly answered. "Hey girl!" She squealed, bringing Silerous into a bear hug. She smiled, her friend always made her feel better. They went in, and up to D.J.'s room. "Oh wow. Love the new paint job." She told her. It was a dark green, with a hint of lime. She sighed. D.J. frowned. "What's wrong?" Silerous told her about everything that had happened, from the death to Jhonathan. Mostly, she talked about him.

Cathy came into the room."Hey Cat,do I ever...scare you?"he asked.Cathy laughed"Yeah!All the time"she joked.Jhonathan sighed"That wasnt very helpful"he thought as Mark put in the new cd."Man your gonna love this!"After they listened to the cd Cathy spoke up"I heard you were hanging with some girl...Is she your girlfriend?"she asked excitedly.Mark gasped"Why was this girl kept a secret from me?"he laughed.Jhonathan laughed and said"Shes not my girlfriend.I dont even know if she would consider me as a friend..."Cathy patted Jhonathan on the back"Dont worry!You're lucky that you even got to say a sentence to her!"she joked again.Jhonathan frowned"You guys are really helpful,thanks!"He got up and said goodbye to everyone before going back to his car.

".....so I think I freaked him out." Silerous concluded. "That's rough, girl." D.J. said with a sympathetic cluck. "So. What's the scoop? You like him or what?" She sighed and rolled her eyes. "He'd be nice to have as a friend, ok? Dang." D.J. always as.sumed the max on everything. It would be nice to talk to someone who didn't jump to conclusions so fast, she thought. With a start, she realized she's only ever talked to one person who did that: Jhonathan. She groaned and fell on the bed. "He's so nice, but I freaked when we were at the pizza place and walked out. I was such a jerk." "Yes, you were." Agreed D.J. Silerous shot a mad look at her, glaring. "Sorry. Hey, didn't he give you something to keep in contact with him?" D.J. asked. She sat up, gasping. It was true. She dug through her purse until she found the paper. She unfolded it, and scanned it over. On it, he had written "Jhonathan: cell - 788-545-231. He had also scribbled his email,jhonEncarnacion. It was a ymail account, through yahoo. She decided it would be best to email him, rather than talk to him on the phone. "Thanks, D.J." with that, she hurried to her car and went home. ~ Once home, she logged onto her yahoo account and shot him a email. "Hey, it's Silerous. Sorry for running out on you, I kinda freaked." She didn't know what else to say and pressed. 'SEND'.

When Jhonathan got home he was exhausted and confused."Some friends I have"he laughed to himself.He knew that they didnt do it on purpose,thats the way they were."Just like what I said to Silerous..."He wasnt mad at her,he just wanted to know why she left all of a sudden.He went into the bathroom and took a shower.When he came out he felt new and refreshed."I wonder if....Silerous..."Jhonathan didnt get any calls,he went over and got out his laptop.He logged into his yahoo account and he had one new message."Its from Silerous!"he said feeling shocked.He read the message and laughed"So, I didnt scare her after all!"he told himself as he wrote back.
"No worries!Lots of people run out on me.But I usually know why."At that he laughed to himself again."Im just glad that you decided to keep talking to me.Thanks for your advice,it really helps!With friends like mine Ill never be able to solve problems with the kind of advice they give me."

Silerous was googling some new recipes when a message box popped up from yahoo. " 1 new message." She clicked on it, to see a reply from Jhonathan. After reading it, she sighed, relieved. She then noticed his signature, Papa Doc, and she chuckled to herself. Starting to type, she wrote: " Why do you think people run out on you? You don't seem like most people I've ran out on. " She thought a bit, before comtinuing. " Your the first who ever said my advice worked. Mostly, people just scoff and ignore it, dooming themselves to do something stupid. And why did you think I wouldn't talk to you?" That was enough for now, she thought. He already had two questions to respond to. She pressed the send button, and watched the message light up, saying "message sent."

Jhonathan was singing to the song:"Not ashamed"when his laptop made a ding noise.He walked over to it and read the message.Jhonathan thought for a while before replying.
"Well,usually its because I bore them.Sometimes they dont find me helpful.But I dont hold it against them.Well...I dont know...you seem like you have more important things to do than waste your time talking to the town's most "childish" man.←(Its a joke).
Jhonathan read his letter over and over and laughed with satisfaction."Man, do I make myself laugh!"Hesent the message and continued singing.

Another message popped up. Silerous clicked it, thinking it was from Jhonathan. It was. She read his reply. Wow, she thought. He must have gotten told he's childish a lot in life, she concluded. She began typing a reply. "Bore them? You? Please. Most likely you'll make them bust something laughing. It's not really a waste of time when you have time to kill. Better than talking to some of my other friends who'll go, "Omg! Totally! You know it girl!"." Satisfied with her reply, she sent the message and went to make herself some tea.

Jhonathan had started playing his guitar when the message flashed across the screen.He continued playing his guitar for a little bit before he replied.
"Haha,well maybe you're right,but you havent seen the people Im talking about!"he was reffering to Kinta,Tasha,and Nyla.The last time he had spoken to them ended up as a disaster.Every joke he had tried, put them to sleep no matter what he did, they yawned."That was the toughest group of girls that I've ever tried to make laugh!"he thought as he continued writing."I guess some people just dont have any humor,which kills me because that all I've ever lived on...."He sent the message and decided on writing a song.

Silerous made her tea, added ice and went back to her room. She was reading an old favorite of hers, Impulse, when her computer pinged. She read the message and thought a bit before replying. "My dad has no sense of humor. One of my friends made a joke using the word 'god' and he got the bible and started praying. It was really embarras.sing." She decided just to send it like that, and then she huddled on her bed, captivated by the way the author used words. It reminded her of a song about suicidal love which she had on her iPod. It made her want to listen to that song, and also made her want to cry thinking of people.

Jhonathan finished his song and he read it over."Well that was....a complete failure!"he said as he put his notebook away."Where did the inspiration go!?!"he asked himself as he went into the kitchen.He looked around"What do I want to eat...Donuts!"he picked up the bag and sat on his bed, eating them carefully so as not to make a mess. Jonathan looked at the message and laughed."Well some people are really religious.I choose my words carefully when it comes to those kind of people."He remembered mother and whispered"And shes one of them...."

"I choose not to deal with those kind of people. If we were actually talking, this would be the part where I sigh and say 'People are too hard to deal with." Was all Silerous typed before she sent it. She leaned back in her chair, and rolled it towards her desk. There, she pulled out her journal and began to draw. She didn't know what she was drawing, but she knew it was going to come out very well, she could feel it in her bones.
