Eddie led her to the kitchen and said, " We don't have very much for breakfast...except for cereal. You just want that?" He still couldn't believe how comfortable he was getting with her. If mom met her, she would already be accusing me of falling for a woman i met not even 24 hours ago... then it accured to him that his mom still wasn't home. He chose to check, after Larka was taken care of. She's probably just asleep in her bed.

Eddie was going to ask what she meant, but saw the dried tears from just a couple minutes ago and decided not to ask. Not yet. But he did have so many questions for her. Instead he smiled and said "It doesn't sound wierd to me..." he said. Feeling the awkwardness. he walked away, to put the milk back in the fridge.

larka picked up the spoon and began to eat the cereal. she enjoyed and finished it quiclky. when she was done there was still milk in the bowl so she set it on the floor and lilac next to it. she lapped it up quickly, and larka picked both of them up and put lilac in her lap and the bowl on the table.

"You eat pretty fast ya know that?" He wasn't saying that in a bad way, he was really just trying to tease her alittle. Teasing kind of takes away that awkwardness in the air sometimes. He took the bowl and put it in the sink, cleaned it off, then put it in the dishwasher. He looked back at her and smiled.

"yeah.." he said. He actually wasn't very fond of her. It was as if he could see who she really was, and everyone else just saw the othr side of her. He's seen her both ways. But he really pretty much envyed her, every friend of his - guy or girl - would rather be with her. Apparently she was more fun, and nice to be around. That's why he never really spent time with her, to him, she was mean. But maybe that was just a sister thing.

Eddie was about to break the silence when the phone rang. He walked over to get it, before the caller ID showed. "Hello?" He mouthed to Larka "ill be in my room for a sec" and went upstairs... "yeah this is Eddie......i do know a Debbie She's sort of my mom.. ...why?....she is?.....is she going to be okay?........Don't worry ill be right there....Can i bring someone with me?.....alright i know where it is....alright thanks for letting me know....K Bye." He rushed downstairs, and said "We have to go to the hospital." He grabbed her a jacket, put it around her, and got out the door.

As Eddie drove, he didn't say a word. but he was thinking alot. This happens to his mom alot, thats why he was so worried last night. She has heart problems. So he guessed thats what's wrong with her again. What worried him the most was that it was genetic, and that he had heart problems as a kid. The doctor said he's living now, but just like his mom, it will probably happen again. When they got to a red light, he stopped, and remembered what the doctor said on the phone, She might be okay, she might not. His lip started to quiver and he pinched his eyes shut, his breathing went faster, and he looked up to see the light still red. cmon!!.....

Eddie didn't respond, he couldn't. He knew that if he opened his mouth once tears will come. This happened everytime. He looked up, the light was green and he raced down the road. When he found the right place he parked, and got out quickly. Usually, he would probably open the door for Larka, but right now, he just made sure she was out then, he ran to the enter door. He went to the front desk and asked for his mom. "room 123" he mumbled "thanks.." and went to the elevator.
