Xavier gave a small smile at Aeria mom. He then looked towards her dad. "I hope that you accept my apologies sir, it wont happen again"He said kindly.

Aeria's dad grunted and nodded. He still didn't completely trust Xavier. Aeria walked up to Xavier and grabbed her hand. Her dad took in a deep breath, and let it go. Aeria's mom smiled. Her little girl was all grown up.

Xavier returned the nod and looked down at Aeria with a smile. He was glad that she wasnt in trouble but was still weary of her father. He knew he wasnt too fond of him.

Aeria's mom said, "Come on inside, Xavier. We have breakfast ready. Besides, we need to get to know you." Aeria smiled back at Xavier.

He looked at Aeria mother. "Of course Ma'am, thank you very much"He said with a genuine smile. He was a bit excited to get to know her parents.

Aeria smiled as Xavier did, and led him inside, her mother ahead of them. Aeria sat down at the table across from her mom, and left the seat beside her for Xavier. She prayed that everything would go well.

Xavier sat next to her. He also hoped everything would be ok. He wanted to get out alive hopefully. He pushed away the negative thoughts and chuckled inwardly at them.

Aeria's father set them all down a plate full of eggs and bacon. He sat down in his seat and said, "So Xavier, do you live here?"

Aeria gulped again, finishing off her breakfast. Aeria's mom butted in. "Aeria, don't forget that your sixteenth birthday is tomorrow, dear." Aeria had forgotten. Again. She seemed to lose track of her birthday easily. "Oh!"

"It's not a big deal, anyway," Aeria said, pushing her plate away from herself. She looked down at her red plate. It was the color of blood. She looked away, trying to find something else to stare at. Aeria's mom and dad stayed quiet.

"I've never really had a birthday party before. The biggest thing that ever happened on my birthday was when Ray took me to see a movie." She sighed, and got up. "May I be dismissed?" she asked her mom. "Yes, sweetie," her mom said, sighing. Aeria got up and walked up the stairs, going into her room.

Xavier still had the sad look on his face. She never had a birthday party? Why? These questions ran through his mind as he looked down in his lap. He was determined to make her birthday the best she ever had, he would do anthing for that to happen.
