((Perhaps we can have some interaction with our characters soon, yeah?))
~Hawkflight~
Hawkflight paced in front of her littermate, eager to do something with herself, a muffled 'minnow-brain' sounding in between licks as Loudstep groomed himself. She rolled her eyes and continued to pace until she spotted the flame-pelted leader, Firestar, trotting towards them, she flicked Loudstep with her tail once the leader had become a fox-length from them.
"How are you two doing?" He said sitting with them, his tail curling neatly over his paws.
"Good, Ashpaw and his mentor left before we could ask to join the session." She replied carefully.
"So we've just been sitting around camp." Loudstep chimed in.
"Well I have things you both can do, Loudstep, go to the medicine den and see if Cinderpelt needs any help, afterwards you can help the apprentices clean out the elder's den and search them for ticks. Hawkflight, I want you to clean out the nursery, after you're done you can see if Sandstorm will take you and Stormpaw out training." He said looking at them both expectantly.
"Of course! Thank you Firestar." Hawkflight said and made her way to the nursery with hop in her step. She poked her head into the nursery, the smell of milk instantly hitting her nose as she continued her way in. Once her eyes adjusted to the darkness she saw a pale gray queen with three kits tumbling over her.
"Who's there?" She questioned, hostile eyes staring into her's as the queen's tail curled protectively over her kits.
"Hawkflight. Firestar told me to see if you needed anything." She said staying at the entrance incase she didn't trust her.
"The new warrior? Oh, new moss for the bedding would be nice. I'm Willowpelt, by the way." She said her hackles relaxing and her kits going back to playing.
"Ok!" Quickly Hawkflight went, got moss, came back and cleaned up the queen's nest.
"Thank you very much, the apprentices don't come to help very often." Willowpelt sighed, cleaning her pelt. Suddenly the three kits came and began rubbing against Hawkflight, she stood still her tail flicking back and forth as they tried to catch it.
"Those are Sootkit, Sorrelkit and Rainkit." She said between licks.
"Will you come back and play with us every day?" Sootkit squeaked, Sorrelkit nodding in agreement.
"I'll try." Hawkflight purred dipping her head goodbye to Willowpelt then heading out to find Sandstorm. She spotted the light tabby pelt coming out of the dirt-place then heading to a shady spot close by, she quickly trotted over and greeted her.
~Loudstep~
Loudstep nodded then walked over to the medicine den to see a small gray she-cat sorting through herbs.
"Hey, you need any help?" He said smoothly, waiting at the mouth of the cave.
"What? Oh! Sorry, yes please, I need some help gathering herbs and the more paws the better." She said perkily, then limped out of the den and out of camp before he could get a word in. Finally he caught up to her and stayed close to make sure she didn't fall walking up the ravine, to his surprise she climbed it faster than him.
"Ok we need Juniper berries which will be down by the stream, Yarrow which should be by the training hallow, cobweb and poppy seeds which you can find almost anywhere." She said not looking back as she continued down the trail. He caught up to her again then gathered the leaves she would point at until his mouth was overflowing with herbs, same as her. They got back to camp and sorted all the herbs into their own piles, he continued to help her until she shooed him away when one of the kits came in with a bellyache. He walked to where the apprentices Ashpaw and Fernpaw were sharing tongues and joined them until the mentors came by and told them to clean the elder's den, which they all did obediently.
