- Staying low by a bush to sketch out the scene I saw a human stumble out of the bushes then proceed to fall face first to the ground cussing to himself and throwing a can backwards. Landing infront of me I smelled the un familiar ob
ject which smelled bitter and stale. Hearing something clatter to the ground my eyes shot to the massive black pipe that had two perfectly round holes in the end facing straight at me. Getting a bad feeling the guy grumbled then proceeded to grab the stick, brush it off, then go to walk off past me. Stopping suddenly he bent over to look at something right infront of the skimpy bush I was crouching next to. Going to move back a few steps a squirrel jumped down a tree behind me, snapping a twig as it ran off to climb yet another tree.

Wobbling a bit he turned his head and came eye to eye with me, my eyes glowing as he nudged me with the stick, I guess to make sure I was real. When I growled he stumbled back and fumbled with the stick. Jumping from the bush I grabbed the stick, my teeth grading against the material I now noticed as metal while he pulled and yanked. " jesus Christ let go you stupid beast!!" he yelled before kicking me in the ribs a few times. Now I was mad, growls becoming louder as they rumbled from my chest I let go then quick as lightening grabbed closer to his hand and began tugging at the stick. Finally the human lost his balance and let go on accident. Yelling more cuss words he stumbled back then moved to the right as I began circling him dangerously.

" You. You're the one they're looking for..." looking around the woods I growled loudly leaping at him forcing him to move back but continue circling as I treated him as wild game before the kill. " Where are they? huh? Where are your little friends?" dropping my head low a feral snarl was released and he jumped then began chuckling nervously, attempting to gain some pride " Why don't you just bring them here, face the fate you nasty vermin deserve... I know there's pups, and some real pretty ones in your pack... when we find them... we're going to skin them and lay there hides as our feet matt, and mount their heads on our walls AH HA HA HA-" ENOUGH!!!! I roared lunging at the guy.

screaming out I knew it wasn't long before his buddies showed up for the kill. grabbing his throat I shook my head viciously side to side as a pup does when playing tug of war. His hands slapped and clawed at my face his feet jabbing and driving into my ribs and side while he struggled for air. ' Even if I kill him.. there will be more. But at least this one won't be a worry anymore' planting my feet on either side of his head my jaws holding his throat in a vice grip, I tasted the blood hot on my tongue. Feeling the swirl inside as my true wolf rose to it's peak my eyes glew brightly my feral side completely loose- I hope you rot - I growled as i began clamping my jaws down to go in for the break. Feeling a sudden sharp pain in my shoulder i looked back with my eyes and saw his hand weakly holding the knife that'd he'd stuck in my shoulder. Glaring back at him i crunched down, his neck breaking instantly his hand falling to the ground. Jerking the blade from my skin i snarled and bit the guys face, " you will learn not to mess with the Horizon Moon pack, you ignorant leech. -Turning I loped off with a slight almost un-noticeable limp, sniffing out for the pack's trail.

- feeling an intense anxiety pitted in the bottom of my stomach as it rose and spread i worried for the pack suddenly. Sniffing the ground i picked up from a lope to a full gallop my shoulder stinging a bit as I ignored it and ran on. " hey i heard something!!" i heard a human's voice shout a mile ahead. 'No' I thought as i realized the pack would have been about at that point with Storm leading. Charging forward i smelled the stench of human sweat and smoke. Breaking onto a new part of the path a sounds cracked behind me and as i turned my head to look back ran dead on into a very stiff structure that buckled and made an " oof!" noise as it hit the ground.

" The wolf! it's him!" Seeing four black sticks raise up to meet my eyes I starred down the black holes of each one. " kill it! shoot it it's attacking me! I'm injured!" glaring at the guys standing around i heard a series of clicks and knew it was time to get out. Leaping straight up i kicked off one of the black sticks and bolted in and out of the bushes to confuse the men as they followed. " I hope you leeches have said your last good-bye" i growled as i picked up pace the men shouting and running behind me. Hearing a sudden POP! i started a bit the ob
ject hitting right beside me. Looking back i saw one of the sticks explode at the end and another little ob
ject grazed over my head and hit the dirt in front of me.

Growling dominantly i took off seeing a ledge ahead i picked up pace till i felt like i was flying, as if my feet were barely touching the ground. " get him! he's getting away!" giving a sinister chuckle they began to catch up to me, close enough to feel the boom of every single ob
ject fired i felt the rush of wind at the edge of the drop. Everything seemed to slow down as my front legs flew over the edge as i swung my head around to the left. Throwing my body weight into the turn my back feet that were once planted right at the edge began to slide off twisting with my body. Seeing the men running full speed right at me i kicked my back feet down and pushed off hard from the edge putting me back over the ground as they all one by one ran blindly off of the cliff, one guy dropping to the ground and sliding to try to grab me until he noticed his situation and at the last minute struck his hand out clutching for anything and finding my leg yelled out in panic.

Being jerked backwards and over the edge i clawed the earth for dear life. Trying to kick i heard the man's shaky breath as he tried to clutch with both hands pulling me further down, and for a second i saw my life flash before me. Shutting my eyes tight as i struggled to hold on i apologized to my pack for not being able to protect them and get back to them. I felt like a failure as my strength faltered as his weight began to take it's toll. Crying out a bit at his nails digging into my leg i heard him laugh heartlessly, and right then, something inside of me clicked. My ears perked and i swung my head around my eyes sharp and boring through the man as i spoke to him mentally ' I have had enough of this. I have had enough of you! I am not some weak dog! I am a wolf! I am an Alpha! I have a family to protect and you will not be the end of that!' staring at me in shock as my voice echoed into his mind i watched tears well up in his eyes. ' You don't deserve to live. Let go and face your fate... like the vermin. You. Are' his eyes wide as if he were in a trance tears streamed down his cheeks and then he spoke through a sob, " I'm so sorry", his fingers slipped over my fur as they let go and i watched as the man fell 200 feet to his death on the jagged rocks in the rapid waters below.

Kicking the cliff side i finally pulled myself back up. Turning to find the pack my legs shook a bit from the strain and i stumbled sideways a bit before catching myself, but quickly i shook it off and took off back onto the trail.
