((So, to make it easier to discern Akui's thoughts and words from Yuushuu's, and because I've always felt more comfortable writing in 3rd person, my posts from this point on will be in that perspective. Just wanted to let you guys know.))
Dom's words made Yuushuu feel like it was possible to fix her problem, being split into two personalities. But how would she do it? She couldn't even remember the part of her life where it occurred.
"Do you really want to remember?" Akui asked, knowing by Yuushuu's ex
pression what she was thinking.
"Yes, I do." Yuushuu answered.
"You might not like what you see." Akui explained.
Yuushuu chuckled, "When did you start feeling concern? I'm ready."
Akui ignored Yuushuu's quip and continued, "Close your eyes, shut out the world around you and focus on remembering. Let go of your worries and fears and it will come to you."
Yuushuu did as Akui said, and let everything go. She felt herself slipping away into another time.
"Yuushuu, come on! It's not that hard." a young wolf said. She remembered it was someone she liked.
"I can't, I can't!" Yuushuu heard herself protesting. A whimpering pup was curled up in front of her.
"It's seen too much, kill it already!" the other wolf snapped.
"It's... murder though." Yuushuu answered.
The other wolf laughed, "So what? No one will know."
She was in too deep, how would she fix any of this? This wolf had already made her do horrible things. "Stark, I can't."
"Do it, now!" Stark growled, "Or I will!"
His words put pressure on her mind until it seemed like it would burst, it was as though her family was pulling on her good side and Stark at her bad, but it tore up her relationship with both. He kept saying to kill it, kill it. IT. This was a living creature, a pup. But he was right, if this pup, Stark's little brother, told his family, they would both be punished for being together. They had been told already before.
Yuushuu found herself lunging at the young wolf, ending his life.
"Finally." Stark said.
Yuushuu sobbed over the body, conflicted feelings tearing at her heart.
Stark nudged her with his snout, "Well come on, we have to get rid of the body."
Yuushuu nodded and stood up, drying her tears. She felt only coldness in her heart now. "I am Yuushuu no longer." she said coldly. "I am Akui."
Stark looked at her with a smirk. "It sounds cooler, I like it."
Yuushuu looked at the body of the innocent pup, mauled by her own claws.
"NO!" Yuushuu screamed as she came back to reality, flying up from the ground. She looked at her claws, almost expecting to see blood dripping from them. But they were clean. Sighing with relief, she thought about the events. "That wolf..." she said.
Akui sighed, "Yes, Stark is the one you remember from when you were hunting with Storm. I did kill him after that. It put an end to his lies and his mind games, but stopping him could never fix the chaos inside of your mind. Our mind."
