- Flattening my ears and pushing my nose down where my paws were I dug viciously at the ground untila sudden frantic body sprung up hitting me in the face and causing me to stutter before perking my ears and snapping for it. As the rabbit leapt to the side about to eecape I grabbed it's rear leg laid it on the ground then snapped at it's neck, gripping and breaking. Seeing a mass of rabbits scurrying around crazily My eyes widened, A red and white set of glowing eyes filled with playful desire as I jumped at the springing bunnies. Chuckling a bit I looked over to storm and grinned before pouncing downward and grabbing another bunny. This feeling was so alien to me after abandoning it for many years so as we pounced and dove at scurrying bunnies I couldn't help but release a small nearly un-noticeable chuckle.-

I was very surprised at how Dom was acting, I hadn't seen this side of him since we were still pups, I grinned playfully then pounced on a few bunnys, making sure we didn't take more than we could chew "Enjoying this Dominik?"
I teased smiling at him

- Hearing Storm tease at me playfully I tried to straighten up and act my age and as an Alpha should but when a bunny went flying up in Storm's face I couldn't help but laugh- " I am, how about you?"

I growled playfully while blushing but then launched myself at Dom knocking him over and pinning him
"I'll bet more than you"
I said while playfully nipping his ear

- Laughing now I knocked storm over and nipped her back paws playfully before seeing we had a good amount of bunnies, enough to have two for each member. Taking a breath I nipped storms ear with a smile then turned to the bunny heap- " Let's get back, The pack needs to eat" - I chuckle grabbing a vine from a nearby tree, ripping it down then taking it over to the bunnies doing my best to grab a rabbit, lay it's feet over the vine then hold one end with my paws and loop the other. I thought back to the days I would watch man at their den doing the same thing only... with more grace-

I nodded then got up then helped Dom with the rabbits until they were all tied up
"I haven't seen you smile like that since we were still pups and didn't have a pack to worry about"
I said starting to grab up the vine and rabbits

- Smiling as Stormy spoke I smiled gently- " That was so long ago it seems" I say softly throwing the string of rabbits over my back as I thought back to when it used to be just Storm and I, everything we went through after we found eachother... Storm and I raised eachother till Dai came along and then we raised her into our family... all of that was so long ago... coming back to reality once again I smiled at Storm-

"Yes it does" I smiled back and started to walk back towards the pack but then heard a strangely familiar call, then, it dawned on me "Sharptooth.." I gasp then turned to Dom trying not to show my fear "We need to get back to the pack"

- Sniffing the air I put my ears back and closed my eyes listening for a minute... Hearing the faint growl of a mountain lion a distance from the pack I stopped in my tracks and began thinking fast and thorough- ' Call doesn't have the telepathic connection... Daisuki!' tapping into her psyche line I spoke calmly but with a slight urgent edge ' Daisuki, I need you to listen to me. You and the pack need to move. Tell call to gather everyone and get to higher ground. You're next to a mountain lion's den. Can you do this?' -I ask beginning from a lope and advancing to a gallop Storm beside me.-

My ears twitched as I heard Kody warn me. "Call, we're in trouble. We seem to be close to a Moutain Lion's den. We have to get the pack out of her." I say with urgency. I grabbed Roe by the scruff and waited for call. |

"Dom wait, if they do make it out before the Lion reaches them, we can't chase them right after, the lion will follow us and know where the pack is, we need to get it away before following them"
I said hoping the pack could get away soon

" We're taking a scenic route" - I say veering to the right away from the mountain path. " We're going to catch them on the wayward side halfway through the mountain by Remmington Pass, I've killed a lion or two in my time though I'm not very old, I was born an Alpha, I will die before that pack is harmed, you included- I say looking to her with promise-

I looked at him silently promising the same, then followed him through the pass "the Lions scent is getting strong.....it couldn't be up here could it?" I asked looking around for where the scent was coming from

" No. We're smelling her den... It's a female with cubs" - veering around the den as I heard the cubs rar and growl I tapped into Dai's Psyche ' Daisuki tell Call to get out of there now. This isn't just a mountain lion.. she has cubs she's out for blood because we were too close' -Leaning to my far left I kicked into my true wolf form my eyes glowing eerily as my lips pulled back over my lengthening fangs, my pace quickly picking up from a gallop to a full on urgent sprint as we weaved between rocks and glided of crevases-

I ran full speed keeping good pace with Dom, but then I turned and saw one of the cubs following us, I snarled at it then kept going, hoping it decided to stay away

Yuushuu was not surprised that something else had gone wrong. She felt a little moody herself, but it was hard to tell with Yuushuu since she most always had a thoughtful look on her face. "And Call had made such a cozy make-shift den too." she thought, disappointed. Yuushuu was exhausted too, it seemed every time they got somewhere safe, some horrible thing happened and they got barely any rest at all. And now there was a mountain lion. Ugh.
Though it was no laughing matter, either. Mountain lions were serious business, what with their territorial ways and immense strength. If humans didn't have those strange weapons, mountain lions would most likely be the cause of more wolf deaths than any other animal.

As Dai's warning hit her auds, Call roared a growl in fury. All this running, all this nonsense mewling pup running away. Calls thoughts grew dim and black, this pack would never be safe. Why had she bothered coming back? She should have stayed in the mountains where she belonged..alone. "Fine!" she yelled, exhausted and hunger clawing at her belly like an angry beast. "Grab Roe lets move!" she barked as she rushed for the mouth of the den. She scooted Ani with her muzzle out the doorway, "Yuushuu, Star lets go" she yapped as her head emerged from the den. Call had, had enough she would take them deep into the mountains away from the dangers of men, and angry cats...her paws dug into the earth with a fury. Making distance and nearing the mountain side, she sat Ani down at her feet. "Climb" she said to the others as she looked up into the snow covered monstrosity... |

I cringed at the loud sound of Call's voice. I felt bad. The lion wasn't my fault but things might've been peaceful if I had just not gone for the mint. Call worked so hard on this den and what did I do? All I did was be stupid, get hurt, and pass out. Well no time to mope now. I grabbed roe by the scruff and flipped her onto my back and followed Call. |
