As Storm and I led Dai back to the Den, I bowed to Call and Yuushuu before we settled down as I pulled a rabbit from the pile pulling fur away from the skin.

I would've bowed but it'd probably look goofy. I sniffed for Yuushuu and laid down next to her.

Storm dug through the rabbit pile after Dominik, finding the smallest rabbit in there, then walked just outside the den, sitting on a smooth stone, just waiting for the storm to come, and she enjoyed the bit of peaces they were getting after there return.

Yuushuu was glad the others had returned safely. As they entered the den, she bowed her head as much as she could in her comfy position. She didn't want to move too much and release the warmth she'd gathered in this spot. She was thankful that Daisuki had decided to lay next to her, she was very warm.

Call looked up from her spot on the den floor. She yawned widely her teeth gleaming and her tongue stretching out, as she made a whine noise. She looked over to see Dom, Storm and Dai filing in though something was amiss. It was strange how Dom seemed to be assisting Dai walk, was she hurt ? Had the ceremony left her in pain? Call wasnt sure, but something was different. She blinked her eyes, as they found their own places inside the warmth of the den, it seemed it had grown rather chill outside by the looks of things. Call belly crawled over to where Roe, Yuushuu and Storm now lay, adding her body heat to the pile. |

Feeling the wind pick up I smelled the storm in the air and reveled in the cool feel as I tore pieces from the rabbit and happily munched them down.

Yuushuu yawned quietly. "I missed you too," she said in a low voice, "there's not much to tell about the happenings here, the pups have been very quiet and I haven't had much to talk about with Call. I guess I still feel a little strange about the whole Akui thing." Closing her eyes she thought for a moment. She wanted to ask where Daisuki, Storm and Dom had gone earlier, but she felt like the question would be a little bit out of place. Instead, she thought about ways she could help the pack in the future.

I lifted my head off Yuushuu and just rested it on the ground. I just moved my eyes around. I knew I couldn't see but it was just a little boring to keep watching straight ahead into darkness. Yuushuu hadn't noticed yet but I felt the vibrations Call sent out and she knew something was strange. I hope my sight comes back soon I don't want to be treated like I'm helpless. I can see just not like the others can. Oh, why me?

After finishing the rabbit, the storm had gotten pretty close, making stronger winds and moisture now filling the air. Storm slowly got up and walked back inside the den with the others, then found a spot by Dominik and laid beside him, and whispered in his ear softly. "The Pack is safe" She licked behind his ear then rested her head on her paws, closing her eyes, listening to the winds, and smelling the rain.

Call looked at Dai, sniffing the air around her. What was wrong? Was Dai still ill? She wasnt sure how the ceremony had even gone, no one had said anything. Call lifted her head and licked Dais muzzle, "Are you okay Dai?" She asked in hushed tones. She rested a paw on Yuushuus paw, as she scooted closer to the two almost protectively. Calls snow colored pelt looking quite brilliant against the two darker females, though she knew she was plenty dirty from their trips, and hunts. She curled her tail up as close against her hind quarters as she could to stave of the chill. |

Yuushuu was surprised at Call's sudden question. Now that she thought about it though, there did seem to be something off when the others returned. She'd thought nothing of it, however, and chalked it up to the fact that weird things had been happening all day. Now she was wondering if Dai was really okay. Call sure seemed to have a knack for sensing when something was up.

I sat up and went to rest my paw on call's shoulder but missed. I kept feeling for it but I guess I just looked awkward and probably raised her suspicions more. I put my paw down and sighed. "After the ceremony I became blind. Don't worry I can still see but not how you would with normal eyes. I can take of myself. Alpha said my vision would return soon. I'm okay." I say to call and Yuushuu. Even though I tried to keep my head I knew they will dote and fuss over me.

Call shook her head, as she was taken aback by Dais news. She knew something was wrong but she wasnt expecting something so drastic. This was terrible news in Calls opinion,to be blind. How awful she thought, she looked to Yuushuu with concern and back to Dai. She wasnt sure what to say in response to Dai's confession. What would they do? How would Dai get around? Call herself could not imagine being blind "Oh,Dai thats terrible" she said simply. |

"I know it is but all my other senses are heightened and ever since I was young I can feel the vibrations in the earth. No worries. I'll be fine" I smiled trying to keep call reassured.

Yuushuu listened to Call and Dai for a little while, staying silent for a few moments before she decided to speak. "If the Alpha said you would gain your vision back, I wouldn't worry about it." she said calmly, "we should probably get some sleep." Yuushuu knew it was unfortunate that Dai had lost her sight, but she could also feel a vibe that said Daisuki did not want anyone to fret over her. She felt a bit uneasy about the situation though, the kind of uneasy she felt when something bad would be happening soon. She wished she could interpret what all these strange happenings meant, what they were warning of that lay in the future.

- Laying my head back slightly as Storm gave me a comforting gesture I smiled and then looked back out as she laid her head on her paws. looking over at Dai I took a deep breath and watched her as her head bobbed off and on while she tried to establish balance. Perking my ears and pulling in an assertive breath I got up, bending my head down to Stormy I whispered in her ear, " I'll be right back" and then calmly trailed over to Yuushuu, Call and Dai- " Thank you for your help today you two" Giving a proud look to Call and Yuushuu. " Yuushuu" I announce quietly as I turn slightly away from the den, " May I speak with you?"

"Oh," Yuushuu said, not expecting the question, "uh, okay." Usually it was Storm, Dai, or Call that Dom needed to talk to. What did he need to talk to her about? She hoped she hadn't done anything to disappoint the Alpha, though she didn't recall doing anything out of line.

I felt my eyes widen as I hear alpha quietly call Yuushuu away. I let out a quiet sigh. I wand to go outside but I know I can't. I'm sure alpha would want me to be accompanied by someone else. I'm a sigma. I'm supposed to watch others hunt and such but I can't without my sight. Being blind open doors for me but a lot others have been shut. I refuse to feel helpless because I'm not! I can see. I feel all of them around me. I can feel even their heartbeats and their breathing. I tried not to let my anger rise up inside me. I just feel frustrated but I must be mature now. I can't let alpha down. I eased the tension and moved my head towards Roe's general direct and escaped form the huddled wolves. I felt Roe's head move up and I knew she was staring at my now clouded over eyes. I wanted to see Roe's eyes but I bent down, ignoring my sorrow, and licked her head. I grabbed her by her by the scruff and put her on my paws. I rolled her on her belly and nuzzled her stomach. I felt her paws on my muzzle and she yipped happily. I stopped and then she walked to Storm's general direction and I walked to the front of the den and felt the cool air before residing in a corner on the side. "It's gonna be a long night" I sighed very quietly to myself.

Call just blinked when Dai told her that Dom had said all would be well. Call of course hoped, but one could never be too sure. Her velvet auds perked and rotated as Dom gave his thanks, Call simply looked up to him and nodded her cranium. She was not surprised herself when Dom called Yuushuu over to them to speak. Call simply nuzzled Roe and Dai. She was filled with sadness as she sensed it coming from Dai, her long night comments did not go unnoticed. Call began to hum a tune softly to Roe and Dai, she didnt know if it would help them sleep but it was worth a try. |
