Zuri sighed, knowing that this would be far from easy. "I guess." She gestured for Olavi to follow her as she began walking. She walked into the living room, and said, "Living room." As soon as she said that, she heard a huge crashing sound come from upstairs. Her eyes got wide. "Crap!"

She bolted up the stairs, leaving Olavi and Timo. She opened the door to her room, only to be greeted by a huge white german shepherd who tackled her to the ground. Zuri was licked all over.

"Sam, no!" She pet her huge german shepherd, and managed to wiggle out from underneth him. Her hair was poking up in all directions, and Sam barked affectionately. Zuri peeked into her room, and her face fell into a frown. It was destroyed.

"Do you have a dog or something?" Olavi shouted from the room he had been left it. He glanced at Timo, who shrugged. Olavi ran up the stairs also, followed more slowly by Timo. "It is a doggie~" The vampire cooed and knelt down, holding out his palm to the dog.

"What's his name?" He asked. The dog took a step forward to sniff the hand given to him/her and backed away growling. Olavi just cooed some more, obviously used to this reaction

Samson growled at Olavi, his teeth bared. However, he was calmed when Zuri put her arm around his neck and pulled him into a big bear hug. The dog was bigger than she was. Sam pulled away from his owner, and licked Zuri's cheek.

"Yep. I have a dog. This is Samson, but I call him Sam." She scratched Samson's head, kissing his nose lightly. "He stays in my room while I'm gone, because he'll destroy the whole house if we leave him running loose." She scratched the back of her head, and walked into her room.

Zuri had an obsession with stuffed animals; therefore, they were all over her room. Even Samson knew not to bother Zuri's stuffed animals, because she would get very, very mad. She picked up multiple pillows, throwing them back onto her bed where they belonged. She made her bed, and began to tackle the rest of her room.

Olavi walked into the room uninvited. He glanced about in awe at all of the stuffed animal. He bent down to pick on up. It was a Beanie Baby puffin, and her card read, 'What is the world does a puffin do? We're sure that you would like to know too. We asked Puffer how she spends her days, before she answered, she flew away!' Olavi snorted to himself. Who made up little rhymes like these?

"What's with all of the animals? Are you a collector, or do you just like them?"

Zuri snatched the Beanie Baby out of Olavi's hands. She blushed, and stuttered. "I-I just like animals. They're-They listen more than humans and vampires do. That's why I have Samson and all of the stuffed animals." She finished picking up her room, and put all of her stuffed animals back into their proper places.

The truth was that Zuri never really trusted anyone before; therefore, she turned to animals for comfort. She could only have one living animal according to Timo, so she chose something that would protect her, and keep her safe. She chose Samson. But even then, Samson wasn't enough. She had to have more. Therefore, she started collecting stuffed animals, and stashing them in her room.

She sat down on the edge of her bed, and sighed. Samson jumped up beside her and licked her shoulder, his tail wagging slowly. He kept an eye on Olavi.

[[Sorry again, I'm back now]]

Olavi blinked. "Don't you have any friends?" He didn't expect Zuri to rather have animals to keep company than other humans. He would have thought that she would at least get along with some of the other hunters. At the same time, Olavi understood that automatically thinking that the female liked the other hunters was like saying that Olavi enjoyed other vampire company.

The vampire awkwardly sat on the floor, not wanting to intrude on the hunter's personal space by sitting beside her. "Can I ask about your parents?"

Sam glared at Olavi, but eventually layed down on his back and fell asleep.

Zuri sighed, and pulled her knees up to her chest. She looked at Olavi, a sad look in her eyes. She hadn't talked about her parents in over a year. She wanted to pretend like they never existed. She wished she could just forget. Things would be a lot easier then.

Even though Zuri knew she was probably going to cry when she would talk about it, she nodded at Olavi, and said, "I don't mind. Ask away."

Zuri said, "It's okay. I need to talk about it every once in a while." She looked down and said, "My parents are in heaven now. They were killed when vampires raided a small town that we used to live in. I went into an orphanage until Timo was old enough to have a home. It was then written in my parents' will that if they were both to die, I would go into Timo's custody when he became eighteen." She swallowed a lump in her throat and Samson twitched in his sleep, rolling over onto his side.

Zuri layed back on her bed, her head resting on Sam's chest. She used to do that to her dad when he she was little. She tried to hold back the tears, but she couldn't. She rolled over so that her face was buried in Samson's thick fur, and she let a few tears escape her eyes, sniffling as she did so.

Olavi sat quietly, letting the information sink in. He stood up and slowly walked to Zuri's bed, sitting on the edge of it. Olavi was never one who knew how to comfort people. The vampire reached over and laid his hand lightly on the hunter's shoulder.

"Is that why you became a hunter? So you could take your revenge and prevent what happened to you happen to someone else?" Olavi asked quietly.

Zuri flinched when Olavi touched her, but she didn't move. She wiped her eyes, and Samson snored softly. She turned back over on her back, and looked at Olavi. She sniffled before saying, "That's what I originally set out to do. But every time I kill, I feel kinda guilty. I don't know if they're really evil, or if they're just trying to stay alive."

Several more tears dripped down her face, gathering at her chin and then falling onto her comforter, which was blue.

"They are just monsters." Olavi told her, looking into her eyes. "And the ones who aren't regret everything they have done and would readily die." He wiped a tear from her face.

Zuri sniffled, and thought about leaning on Olavi. However, she hesitated, and got up. She wiped her face and said, "I'm sorry for troubling you. You can leave my room if you like." She took in a deep breath, and looked at herself in her dresser mirror. Her eyes were still red. She heard thunder come from outside, followed by rain.

A terrible storm was moving in that would last for days.
