"This is what I come for every day," he said. Then, rather childishly- "So I was here first." He gritted his teeth as Hermione asked him the question that the two Gryffindors had asked him earlier. "It's none of your business," he growled, like he told Potter and Weasley. "But if you must know, my other clothes are in the wash." 

He could feel his headache growing and began to rub his temples as he fixed his eyes on the creek. He silently pleaded to Merlin that Granger would leave him alone. 

"If you don't bother me, I'll let you stay." Hermione stood, and retrieved her wand from her pocket. "However, if you try to make me leave by force, I'll use the cheering charm on you until you wet yourself." Hermione smirked, and batted her eyelashes before sitting back down.

Hermione rolled her eyes at Draco's remark. She began rocking back and forth on the rock, until she fell into the stream. She pushed herself up into a sitting position, and spit water out of her mouth. She was soaked, and cold. She wrung her hair out, and sighed. There was no way she was leaving her spot, though. She got back on her rock, and shivered, but quickly ceased the shivering.

Hermione was surprised when she felt something soft hit her head. She pulled it away, and it was Draco's robes. "Thanks," Hermione tried not to studder. Harry, nor Ron, ever did that for her. Maybe Draco isn't  that mean after all... She slipped the robe on, and immediately felt warmer.

Draco started as Hermione spoke, dragging him out of his thoughts. Her voice was surprisingly soft, and Draco's eyebrows shot up. When she mentioned Pansy, he was even more surprised.

"You would apologize...," he said slowly, his voice deathly quiet, "to your own enemy, for something you didn't even do?" The thought completely fathomed the Malfoy.  

Draco looked at Hermione again. He never thought that she would have problems like these, or even problems at all. He thought the Golden Trio never had many problems beside worrying over their public appear and ordering the Order of the Phoenix around. Guess he was wrong...

 "I guess it feels nice too," he said a little hesitantly, "to talk to someone who isn't a complete idiot or are too worried about their Slytherin macho-ness to care." He smiled briefly. 

Hermione couldn't help but blush. Her cheeks turned a bright red. She got up and said, "I should get going." She turned away and rushed off, her cheeks still red. She stopped at Hagrid's house, and knocked on his door. The giant opened it with ease, and Hermione hugged him.

"Hermione! Long time no see," he said, smiling. "Come on in."

Hermione did as he said, and went into his little hut. She was greeted by his large dog, which looked like a cross between a great dane, and a mastiff of some sort. She patted its head, and smiled. She took a seat in one of Hagrid's huge chairs, which engulfed her petite frame, and the two of them began conversating.

{Oy, this is the fifth time I've had to retype this. Stupid computer. T.T}

Draco watched her leave, then sighed and shook his head. "Gryffindors," he muttered, "They're supposed to be brave."

He sighed and got up, walking back to his room to retrieve his Death Eater mask. He returned to the common room, where Theodore Nott, Crabbe and Goyle, and Blaise Zabini where waiting for him. At the sight of him, Blaise cast a small, apologetic smile, in which Draco returned with a glare. 

Nott fished out some Floo powder from his pocket, then the five of them Flooed to Malfoy Manor.

Hermione left Hagrid's cabin, only to be met by Ron at the door. She sighed, and shook her head. Ron began talking. He babbled on for about an hour, following Hermione as she made a full walk around Hogwarts. She finally turned around and looked Ron in the eyes.

"Please leave me alone, Ron. I need some time by myself. Alone," Hermione said, stressing the word, alone.

Ron stared at her for a minute, then turned away and walked off understandingly.

Hermione sighed. That boy just didn't get it. Nobody really understood Hermione. Nobody knew what was going on inside of her head. She strived to be the best, to prove that being a Mudblood couldn't impair your abilities as a witch or a wizard. She went up to the clocktower, and looked through the open part into the courtyard at the front of Hogwarts.
