"N-no, it's fine!" Kasu stammered. "I've just never had a friend before, ever. Although if people know about me, they wouldn't want to be my friend." She murmured the last sentence quietly to herself, her eyes glazed over with grief.

"Never," Kasu affirmed. She gave Eddie a wry smile. "This is the first time." At that moment, the bell began to ring. "Lunch, thank the God!" she said in exasperation. Her stomach growled in agreement.

He smiled. and said, "Yeah, my stomach agrees!" And he started walking to his locker, sticking his things into his locker, and walked straight to lunch. ------------------------------------------------- Paradise jumped up the second it was lunch, she walked by Eddie's locker while he was at it and said. "ill save you a spot. " Then walked away before Eddie could say anything else. She sat at a table and waited for Eddie. --------------------------------------------------- Eddie wanted to find Kasu and sit next to her, but until he saw her, he'll sit with Paradise. He sat down, and searched around with his eyes for Kasu.

Kasu got into the lunch line. The smell of greasy pizza flooded the cafeteria. She got two slices of pepperoni, a carton of chocolate milk, and a Twix bar. She hesitated as she was about to leave the cafeteria and looked around. Kasu saw Eddie sitting with that Paradise girl. Indecision flickered in her mind as she wondered about whether to sit with them. She hesitated a moment longer, then left the cafeteria with her food to go to the library. She'd always hated crowds, anyway. Besides, the longer she was in them, the more chance there was that she'd snap, like that night...

Charlie went to lunch and sat with his group of friends. They were the smart group, some were cute others not but they all had something in common, brains.

Eddie saw Kasu leave and he said to Paradise. "O gotta go. " He took his food and followed her. He would have invited Paradise, but he for some reason didn't want to. He turned around to see Paradise by herself. He knew he should atleast invite her to come, but for some reason he didn't want to share Kasu. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Paradise now sat by herself. She knew she shouldn't feel hurt for Eddie leaving, but she did. Her face turned red, and she sat, at an empty table. She saw Charlie at another table, but quickly looked away before he could see her. Wondering if he saw her look at him made her even redder. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eddie went into the library and sat next to Kasu. He gave her a friendly smile. "Hey. May i sit with you?" He asked. Then said jokingly as he sat. "Well...you don't really have a choice..."

"Ahm, sure...?" Kasu said, startled. She hadn't heard him come up behind her. She slid her backpack off the table so he'd have room to place his tray.

Paradise looked back at Charlie, but stopped. She got up to go to her locker to get something to occupy her. But she hoped Eddie would only be gone for 5 minutes. So she didn't look like a complete idiot sitting by herself. -----------------------------------------------------------
"O wow your excited about me sitting here..." He said. Then tried to change the subject. "So...um...how was your day today...so far? "
-------------------------------------------------------------- As Paradise walked to her locker she saw Eddie with Kasu, in the library. Great... Yeah, great, now she knows he wasn't going to be back for a while. She got a book from her locker, then walked back to her table. She frowned as she opened her book.

"Well if you don't want to remember them, i won't ask what the flashbacks are about." He smiled. Hinting that he really wanted to know. But tried to change the subject so she wouldn't feel uncomfortable. "I actually didn't mean to startle you..." Wasn't the best subject changer in his mind.

Charlie dreaded going back home to his uncle and Killer so he pushed that out of his mind. He thought about his mother, which he hadn't done for some time now. He couldn't believe she was in jail. He also thought about his father and how life would be so much better if he was alive. Charlie blames himself for his fathers death, thinking he could have saved him. He was only three and he watched his own father die, he can't help but think he could have prevented it somehow.
