"Hey! Wait for me!" Calyx half giggled, rushing into the room. "Hey Naru!" Calyx welcomed her boss. "Have you seen Kohaku?" She asked everyone. "I havn't seen him since he disposed of that......thing." She said, reffering to the animal carcas.s. "Where could he of gone..."

"No" Was Naru's quick reply, icy and uncaring. "Well that wasnt rude at all." Yukita mumbled, still not in such a great mood after the run in with the butler. "Hey, you guys should watch out for that butler, hes a bit of a grouch." Yukita's voice was flat as she finished putting up the last shelf. "Will the rest of the gang be here?" She asked, refering to his other as.sistant, Mai, and all the others who usualy helped Naru out with his cases.

"Aren't they on vacation, or something?" Calyx asked, curious. She sat down on her usual chair, and fiddled with her fingers. "Sheesh...He knows better to run off like this.....Actually, this isn't like him at all. He hates being alone, why would he leave?" She asked no one in particular. She huffed, and crossed her legs. She pulled out some thing from her pocket, and closed her eyes, signaling that she was thinking. "He has no other family, he has no where to go....."

"Oh ya. Well, if he shows up around here, Dante will sense him." Yukita smiled proud of both her and her brother's powers, if you could call them that. While she could control spirits, her brother can sense the presence of both living and dead persons. "Now is not the time to be boasting. Lin will be here shortly, until then you will have to do." Naru stated handing each of them a screen to set up, though they were only a couple of the tons she knew he owned. "Uh, I will just take Calyx to set up the cameras and mics. Come on." She said grabbing the box of cameras and motioning for Calyx to take the mics.

"hey do I get a say in this?" Too late. Calyx was already being dragged out of the room. She snatched up the mics and they headed out the room. "What do you think?" She asked. "About Kohaku?" Frankly, she was worried about him. She set up the mics and stretched. "I barely got any sleep last night." She shivered. "Nightmares."

"Nightmares? About what?" Yukita asked now slightly interested. She waited for the girl to answer as she set up a couple of the cameras in different parts of the room. "Sorry to say, I have no idea what Kohaku is up to, but Im sure he hasnt gotten into any trouble. I think its you who needs to be worried about. I heard a rumor that Mai, you know Naru's as.sistant, had dreams that were connected with the cases. But not long after that bad things began to happen to her, and her only." Yukita whispered, hoping the mics werent on yet.

Calyxtilted her head. "They're just nightmares." She said, setting up the last of the mics. "Mai? I've talked to her before. She's not too bad." She let out another yawn and rubbed her eyes. "What are you saying?" She slightly giggled. "That I have powers? Highly unlikely. Naru just hired me because that I think differently than most people." She shrugged, "Neh, it wouldn;t hurt to tell you, but in the other room. This place is creeping me out."

"Ya me too." Yukita stiffled a yawn. "Hey is it just me or are we suddenly tired. Oh its probably nothing. We did carry some heavy stuff." Her words slurred slightly but not by much. "I know why your tired though, lack of sleep is a killer." Yukita giggled, laughing at a private joke from years earlier. "I need to sit down, I am exhasted." Yukita lay down on the surprisingly clean floors, unable to keep her eyes from drooping. "Now that I think of it. Spiritual pressure kept me up most of the night too." She yawned her eyes now fully shut. "Do you think Naru would mind if I were to take a nap."

Calyx gave out one last yawn, and layed down next to Yukita. "Naw, I don't think he'll mind.....We caried, and set up lots of equipment in here....."She started dozing off. "If you want to know about my dream..." She said quietly, her eyes already closed. "We were in a mansion, you me and Naru.....And....Dogs....Giant, evil dogs appeared......You could tell they were tortured...Oh, the hate on they're eyes......."

"Ha, sounds kind of like out current setting. Just minus the dogs, haha and I wish minus Naru." Her voice had gone cold, shivers running up and down her spine. "Oh no." SHe mumbled her teeth begining to chatter. "This isnt good." She attempted to say, but failed in making a sound.

Calyx smiled. "Yeah, minus Naru." Calyx opened one of her eyes to stare at Yukita. "Whats the matter?" She asked, scratching her head. "Dude, I am like.....so tired right now......" She whispered, turning over and using her arms as pillows. "I wish we had beds..." Her voice trailed off.

No, we cant fall asleep. This is one strong spirit, I can feel it. Dante, HELP. Yukita's eyes drooped more, her body falling down to the floor with a thud. No, go away, we mean you no harm. Yukita thought, hoping for it to follow her advice but she was dissapointed. No, you kids are interfering, so you must die. Was the cold response, sounding right next to her ear. That was enough to release the scream that had built up in her throat. Dante heard the scream and bolted out the door, Naru on his heels. He opened the door, taking in the scene of Calyx sleeping on the floor, and his sister shaking on the floor with an ugly spirit hanging above her shivering body. "Yukita!" Dante cried, but powerless to do anything. "Kazuya, do something."

Calyx just sat there, her eyes closed and she was barely moving. There was no ex
pression on her face. Calyx was floating in a void of nothingness. "Where am I?" She though. Kohaku appeared in a small space. "Kohaku!"She smiled, happy to find her friend. But she had it all wrong, Kohau was unconsous, and bleeding. Everythign started to get dizzy. No, Kohaku! She wanted to scream, but sh ewas already waking up. As soon as she opened her eyes, a ghost was looming over her and Yukita. She let out a scream and grabbed an amulet from her pocket. She shoved it at the ghost, closing her eyes. It make a screech, and it was gone. But not for long, she knew this. It would come back in a matter of minutes, or seconds, depending on how strong the spirit was.

Dante took the opportunity to rush forward and help his sister while Naru helped Calyx. "What the he11 was that thing?" He asked though more worried about his still shaking sister. "It doesnt want us here, we need to leave. We are putting everyone here at risk." She rambled on, not making much sense to Dante, but Naru's eyes suddenly held a slightly concerned look. Dante felt him before he saw him, the spirit of Naru's as.sistant Lin, walking into the building, unaware of the event that had just taken place.

Calyx quickly put the Amulet into her jacket pocket and started shaking. "I-I can't hol dit off for long..." She whispered. "But its got Kohaku....I-I must s-stay here...." She hugged her knees and hid her face in her jacket. "The look of Blood lust and fear....In its eyes...." She didn;t get to finish. "W-we need to get out of the house..." She mumbled. "We will be safe outside...."

pression staying smooth and calm. "I underestimated its power. I cant stay, but I must. If what she says is true then we need to get the guy back." Yukita stated, her body had stopped shaking and her eyes were set with her decision. They also gave away that she was thoroughly pissed at being caught off gaurd like that. (( I gtg soon, i will try to stay on for as long as possible.))

Calyx looked up from her jacket to look at Lin. She turned away to look at her comrades, all were there, except for Kohaku. "He's in a small room...." She said. She tried to rember the room, its designs, patterns, anything. She stopped thinking and stood up straight. " We best stick toethor. What ever this thing is, it wants to get us separated and pick us off one by one." She said, clinching her fists until her knuckles turned white. "He's inside this building. I'm sure of it." She hissed quietly. How dare that filthy thing scare her like that.

"She's right about that. It's faint, but now that I know what I'm looking for, I can feel him. I cant quite pin point it though." Dante said his eyes shuting in concetration. "If I rest a little, I might just be able to channel it." Yukita chimed in, regretting she said anything when Lin looked at her. "What did you just say?" He asked his eyes dark voids, scaring her slightly but not enough. "I didnt say anything that you have to be worried about Lin." She smiled deviously, taunting Lin/

"Sounds ok to me. Dante you look after Calyx. Naru can look after me and Lin, well he can take care of himself." Yukita said, her words interrupted with a yawn. "Now I realy am tired from refusing to sleep." She complained, tripping over her own foot and falling on her face. Dante bent down to help her but only laughed, for Yukita had fallen asleep when she hit the ground. "She is so going to wake up sore." Dante joked picking up his twin.
