Sumnor stood, stretching all the kinks in his back out, looking over at Xyen, "i say we get out of here as soon as possible... too many memories for me to deal with right now, the nightmares I get are enough for me at the moment..."

"Nightmares? You mean You're still getting Nightmares from that Ragnafat guy? We shoulda gutted that guy when we still knew were he was."

"We wouldn't of had the power back then, I've doubled... that's kinda why I wanted to go to purgatory, that land would have been protected... the nightmares would've stopped, but now I just w*censored* kill the piece of crap."

~~~~~~~~~~
Ragnafat was pacing in his human form, in the huge stone cave that he had made a home of sorts, waiting for the report which was already late, he couldn't bring himself to blame Feala but Reiyn was of another cl*censored* entirely, he found it particularly easy to blame him for his having to wait.
"I find it hard to wait for anyone of late... I really should be in my shadow form, it seems to inspire loyalty and respect... and punctuality, even from vampires such as Reiyn..."
Xyen looked at Sumnor and Dryac, his eyebrow raised. "I've heard that name. Wasn't he the Lord forever banished to the Underworld? How can he possibly reach you from there, and what would he want with you anyway?..." The Lycan mused.
Indeed. He knew the Demon was a figure in legends, deadly and cunning. Bound to hell by a Sorcerer thousands of years ago. Or so the stories said... But heck. Stories weren't always true...
His thoughts were interrupted when Ezeah spoke, lifting a hand.
"Xaphan! Are we going with them?"
She was smiling, her face full of excitement for the anticipated journey. It would be much more fun with all these others around. Xyen chuckled, then looked at Sumnor. "We can move whenever you wish. Rene will find us when returns."
~~~

Feala turned on her heel, walking down the steep mountain path as Reiyn followed behind, distaste on his face. The female Necromancer glanced over her shoulder as she walked. "So what took you so long?."

"What do you think?... Waiting for Sumnor to show up took a bit. There was no guarantee I'd find him when I did. The Lord knew how long it could take when he sent me on this job." The vampires voice was annoyed.

Feala chuckled darkly, entering the cave in which her Master dwelt. "My Lord." She said, bowing slightly, Reiyn following suit behind her.

Ragnafat turned on his heel as the two vampires enterred the cave, the black, tattered cloak that he wore on his back twirling around with him, slashing through the darkness like a hot knife through butter.

He pointed a finger first at Reiyn, "And you are... oh wait, Reiyn? it's been so long I almost forgot, I have been plaguing Sumnor with these damned nightmares for at least a century now, yet he has failed to come for me, what is it that you have to report."

He then moved his finger over to point at Feala, "You, Feala, come stand with me, there is always a place at my side for one as loyal and as... good an ally and friend as you."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sumnor looked over at Xyen, "This guy isn't just a legend, he's the real deal, all the stories are true, about the power, abilities, forms... we tangled once before, he got in my head, messed around with me... that's why I developed my psychic abilities, he's the reason my eyes are as bright a red as they are..."
"Interesting." Xyen murmered, Ezeah practically jumping next to him. The red-headed Lycan was used to travelling, what with Xaphan and so on, but this was going to be far more fun. Stopping herself from hopping around, she padded over to Xaphan, and clung onto his sleeve again, as was habit.
"Let's go then!" She said.
~~~

Feala smiled, walking to stand beside the Shadow Lord, winding an arm through his. She was impulsive with these movements, and usually craved his company. No surprise, the two were tied by a bond greater than most. The Lord owned her soul, having taken it from her when she used her power to summon him.

Reiyn knelt in respect, his face not changing in the slightest. "I've only come into contact with Sumnor recently, My Lord. He has been hiding incredibly well, as you know... It was by pure chance he stumbled upon me and my fake comrades. In the short time I've known him, it seems his mind is more powerful than previously thought... Though, if I may make a suggestion... He has also softened. He cares greatly for his comrades, and that may be used to our advantage. He is accompanied by Dryac, Xyen and Ezeah, all Lycans. Then Niele. A vampire... And Xaphan and Rene... Both Old Bloods..."

Feala smiled cruelly. "Interesting... To think the vampire has gotten soft... And in such noble company too... Old Bloods you say?... The oldest and most beautiful of vampire-kind..." She glanced sideways at Ragnafat, leaning her chin on his shoulder. "What do you wish to do from here, My Lord?"

Ragnafat remained solitary, the only movement he made was to allow the arm of Feala to slide into linking his, his facial features didn't change throughout everything that Reiyn informed him on, and as Feale placed her chin on his shoulder his head moved slightly to nuzzle the top of hers.

"Our first step should be undoubtedly to hit him were it will do the most damage, we must take one of his comrades... perhaps a lycan for start, but one close to him as his father, to weaken as many as possible with only one blow, Reiyn, who is best for this?"

Whilst talking and standing with Feala, Ragnafat was beginning to work on a few nightmares to warp the minds of villagers in the nearby town with, his fingers moving through air, looking as if they were doing nothing at all, when in fact he was playing with the shadows around him.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sumnor walked toawrds the castle doors, Niele, Dryac and Xaphan following closely, Abadon tailing behind a few paces, nt yet feeling like one of the group, still not sure he wanted to be, Xaphan looked over at Sumnor, "I follow you closely my son, I am there for you whenever needed, and even when not completely necessary."
"Thank you Father, taht means a lot to me, but if we're going to manage to kill this piece of crap that vagely claims to be all powerful, we're going to need Xyen and Rene in this as well..."
Xyen followed behind Sumnor and the others, listening to their conversation with an abstracted ex
pression. He sped up slightly, coming to stroll beside Sumnor, matching the vampires stride. "You actually wish to look for this Demon?... Or are you continuing on your way?..."
As Xyen spoke up front, Ezeah was strolling along behind, her hand still grasping Xaphan's sleeve. She thought it a little weird that a Demon would want to chase down a vampire... What business did the Demon have with Sumnor.
Almost as though reading her mind, Xyen continued. "And besides. What happened between you and the demon?"
~~~

 Reiyn stood, then shook his head. "Aim for one of the weaker members of the group. It will damage Sumnor and his allies, to an extent."

Feala looked away from Ragnafat, and at Reiyn. "I suppose you can't attack... You need to stay undercover..." She smiled, then turned back to the Demon at her side. "Perhaps, my Lord. I have an idea..."

The necromancer leaned forward slightly, her lips brushly gently against those of the demon Lord, before she pulled away from him; Releasing her grip on his arm. "Why don't you allow me to carry out this task?~ I can follow Reiyn discreetly, and have one of Sumnors allies writhing on the ground in seconds... You can always watch from a distance. We don't want to alert him to your presence."

She smiled again, cold and cruel, anticipating the chance she could have.

Sumnor looked over at Xyen, wincing slightly at the memories that he had failed to discard of so far, "He was the one to slay my wife... so of course I and Dryac went for him, wanting revenge, me for obvious reasons... and I think Dryac came in an attempt to protect me from myself, as I really was not in the best of mind sets for a battle of that magnitude at the time."

Dryac smiled,  a smile more of embarra.ssment than anything, he had done it to protect Sumnor, and he had ended up getting the worse injuries and scars,  so he had failed in his goals to protect a friend to the best of his abilities.

Niele had put her arm around Dryac and was hugging him tight as they were walking along, happy to finally be satisfied with how her life was turning out, "As long as I am able to be with you, my love, my life is whole."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ragnafat turned his head to Feala's as she brushed her lips gently across his, "Of, course, that is a brilliant idea, you shall crush the weakest of them, leaving them all emotionally crippled and hopefully rage filled, so i can use that to my advantage to level out the playing field."
Feala nodded, then followed slowly after Reiyn, who was already on his way out of the cave. As the male vampire moved into a flit, Feala opened a gate to the other world' The world of the dead. Here, she could stand and simply follow Reiyn by watching through a portal. No-one could see her however, it was a perfect hiding place.
Flitting quickly, Reiyn only stopped to feed from a pas.sing human. He then continued, knowing that Feala was keeping her eyes on him, even though he could not see, smell or hear her. No trace of Reiyns deception would be seen, there was nothing to give it away, he made sure of it.
~~~

Xyen grimaced. "I see..." How terrible it must have been...  To lose a loved one to a Deemon that way. He, naturally, could relate to losing the love of his life. It was an unpleasant thing... And not one on which he wished to dwell.

At that moment, Reiyn seemingly appeared out of nowhere. "Figures you'd move already."

Xyen chuckled. "You should have been here then, instead of flitting off to feed."

The dark haired vampire shrugged; Feala's eyes narrowing behind the veil of the dead. Being in an entirely different dimension, she would not be seen. Using her power, she as.sessed their ages... Noting Xaphan as the oldest, then picking out Ezeah as the easiest to kill... This, would take less than a minute...

Ragnafat opened a small window of dark purple coloured light in the cave, stepping through to appear on a cliff not too far from the group, examining them from afar, sending Feala a message through their sould link to notify her of where he was.

He sat on a large rock, transforming it instantly into a magnificent throne made purely from dark purple gooey cobwebs, Ragnafat was thinking of the necromancer that he loved, watching the group also, from a better vantage point than he. He missed the days that they would spend together, nothing else they needed to do but spend their time loving eachother and being there for eachother.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sumnor looked up from the ground as he smelt Reiyn approaching, his eyes narrowing, "That scent you carry with you..." He stoped, knowing that he should not accuse a friend, knowing that if he did he would have a fight on his hands.
Dryac also smelt it, but he bit his tongue, he doubted completely that Reiyn was a traitor. Niele was still wrapped around Dryac, nussling his chest, Dryac holding her with his arm.
"Scent?" Reiyn replied, raising an eyebrow. His voice was perfect, no hurriedness, nor suspicious. "What scent?...I flitted a good way away, it could have been picked up from anywhere." In true Reiyn fashion, the dark haired male crossed his arms and closed his eyes, his features annoyed, as usual as Xyen chuckled.
Just behind the group, Ezeah walked with a slight smile. She had released Xaphans arm a short while ago.
From her veil in the other world, Feala chuckled under her breath at the message sent my Ragnafat. Excellent... This would end very well. Commanding the dead in the other world, the necromancer watched with a smile.
Just behind Ezeah, the earth broke, revealing a skeletal hand; Gently reaching foward and grasping the lycans ankle. Turning to look, Ezeah's breath caugh in her throat before she could respond, the hand shooting forward, straight through her chest.the
A fountain of blood spurted, the skeletal hand appearing from Ezeah's back, a strea running from the red-heads lips.
Both Reiyn and Xyen turned just in time to see the girl fall, Reiyn's ex
pression shocked, Xyen's exactly the same. From around them, an unearthly voice filled the air, there was no direction. It simply came from everywhere at once.
"Beware, Sumnor and friends. The Demon Lord seeks you in the darkest places. One by one you will fall if need be."
"Who are you?!" Xyen shouted at the air.
"My name is Feala. Remember it, take this scene as a token from me. One day we will meet perhaps. Of course, you may always die beforehand. There's no greater gate or pleasure than death."
The voice dirfted off, a cold laugh ringing in the air; The form of Ezeah and a new, rose-red lake of blood.
Xaphan roared at the sight of his friend lying, blood pumping freely from her chest, "Nooo! Ezeah!" He leapt over to her body, taking it in his arms, brushing blood soaked hair from her face, knelt down, his face dark with dispair, head held down, trying desperately to think of a way around this... but there seemed to be no cheating death.
Sumnor jogged over, placing his hands on his fathers shoulders in an attempt to comfort him, "Come now, you are Old Blood, you follow the old and true traditions, there is no greater release than death, it bring all your troubles, problems and worries and destroys them, leaving you an absolved soul, left to wander as you wish, the true vampire and lycan dream."
Dryac and Niele remained in the spot they had stopped in, not able to move due to the shock of seeing the young female lycan killed so brutally, "But... she... the hand... she was so young... full of life." "I can't believe anyone could do this... to one so young."
Abadon walked over to Sumnor, standing behind him, a hand placed on his shoulder, this was the first time he ahd felt an emotion other than hatred and rage, "I am extremely sorry to see you two like this... after Xaphan taking me in so kindly, I thought there was light to this life, but obviously I was wrong, I will accompany you to kill this lord... but I will hapily die in doing so, so don't worry too much for me."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ragnafat chuckled coldly under his breath, hearing every word uttered from the group's lips, he closed his eyes and concentrated, wanting to send a detailed message to Feala, My love, meet me on the cliff-face, I wish to spend some time with you before we plan our next move.

Xyen gently knelt beside Ezeah and Xaphan, placing a gentle hand on the female lycans head, his face full of sorrow. Reiyn turned away, closing his eyes in a distressed manner. Despite and everything, he felt kinda sorry for the Lycan.

Xyen stood, and walked over to stand by Reiyn. The vampire looked over, his eyes distant with a saddened air. "Should we get involved?"

"We already are... Besides, I cannot allow this to pa.ss." The lycan replied, his voice aching with the loss of another of his species.

A quick, rush of wind swept past them both, and out of nowhere, Rene flitted onto a low tree bough, just above the scene. She was alerted by the overpowering scent of lycan blood, and immediately, her eyes read everything below her. The lycan, the vampires, the grief, the blood, the skeletal arm...

Her mind jolted, she recognised this work... Eyes narrowing, she landed without sound on the other side of Ezeah, her eyes portraying a quick, saddened message to Xaphan. I'm so sorry. Looking up, she quickly walked over to Xyen and Reiyn, not needing to ask any questions... Though she was curious to know just why Feala was involved.

~~~
Appearing out of a portal, Feala strolled to stand by Ragnafat, chuckling coldly as she watched the creatures below. Her eyes immedaitely focused on Rene. HER?! What was she doing here?!... Her memory flashed back to the battle she'd had with the Old Blood... Long before she summoned The Demon. She had lost that time, she remembered it well.
Damnit. She didn't bother to mention it to Ragnafat, as she yet again wound an arm through his.
"I take it your happy with the results, my Lord?"
Ragnafat made only one movement as Feala appeared, and that was his arm to allow hers to intertwine it, he smiled as the throne he was sitting on dissolved, he stood and moved his head close to Feala's, his lips nearher ear, he whisperred to her, as to not alert the group of their position, "Extremely happy, that has at least weakened their resolve, it will an easier job to battle them now, and Xaphan's rage will be used against them." Ragnafat pursed his lips and pressed them against the ear and cheek of Feala, kissing her,
"But we should be much more... vicious... More obvious that we mean to kill them all." Ragnafat then raised his hand, pointing the index and middle finger at the body of Ezeah, causing it to begin to melt into a puddle of bloody pulp.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Xaphan was breathing heavily, all he could do to stop from crying was breath as deeply as he could, howling in anger as the body began to mutate and melt, "You BAS.TARD! I'M GOING TO FIND AND BUTCHER YOU, FEED YOUR INNARDS TO THE DOGS!"  Sumnor grabbed him and hoisted him up, to avoid the body of Ezeah melting on his clothes, he looked around, glaring at the veil of shadows taht he knew that Ragnafat and Feala were hiding behind, choosing that it would be stupid to attack now.

Dryac and Niele walked over, Niele hugging her Grandfather, Dryac patting him on the shoulder, The piece of s.hit has done that so we can't give her a proper burial... He's attempting to purposely rile us into attacking, catching us off guard, we should move on as quickly as possible... he must have been waiting for us, but how did he know we'd p*censored* through here?"

"He must have been in the air around us, Feala could have followed us from anywhere, especially judging from the way she killed Ezeah..."  Niele thought for a few moments. "C'mon, we'd better get moving."

The group then started walking again, this time much quicker, wanting to get to a town as soon as possible.

Rene's eyes narrowed, her mind wandering to that previous battle she had entered with Feala. Yes, she had won, but out of pity she had allowed Feala to go... Well, she had been much younger at one point. What Rene didn't understand, was why she was still living. Sure, she had a powerful ability... But she was still only human...

"It will not be that easy." She said, her voice low, ignoring her previous thoughts. "You cannot enter past the gates of the dead, unless you are one of them."

Xyen was looking at the Old Blood gravely, and Reiyn started slightly at the females voice, blinking in surprise as he opened his eyes. "What are you doing here?" He asked. Rene gave him a sharp look.

"I wasn't staying behind."
She replied shortly as Xyen spoke.

"Why do you speak as though you know this Feala woman?"

"Because I do, naturally."
The silver haired female placed her hands in her pockets, her eyes looking over at Xaphan. Despite everything in her past, she felt sorry for him, losing a comrade and friend as he had.

"Feala is entriely human-"
Xyen gasped slightly and Reiyn blinked again. "with a very unusual, and very, deadly ability. She is what we call a necromancer, a controller and manipulator of the dead. She is the only being alive who can enter that world without dying, and can kill easily. If she is beyond the veil she is unreachable. You'd need to kill her here, on earth."

"How do you know this?"
Xyren asked perplexed, Rene shrugging in reply.

"I fought her many years ago. She was much weaker then, and should have died long before now, seeing as she's human... Hundreds of years ago. Her being still alive is a mystery and shouldn't be physically possible..."

~~~
Feala grinned at the melting form of Ezeah, then wrapped her other arm around the Demons waist, pulling her own body closer to his. She chuckled in a cold manner, leaning her head on his chest, her eyes still on the group below.
"Perhaps, my Lord. We should move into my realm for a while. They cannot reach us there unless they die first, and it will leave us undisturbed."
She smiled up at him, her eyes dangerous and fiery with the death she had caused. It always had a way of getting her into a good mood.
((Just doing Ragnafat for now, will eddit the rest in the morning.))
Ragnafat smiled, kissing Feala, He loved it when she took control of certain situations, it let him know that she wasn't afraid of him, that they were in perfect harmony, "Yes, I do believe that would make sense, it will give us time to... relax, without interruptions, and you know how I hate interruptions."  Ragnafat smiled, staring into Feala's eyes, the colour always mesmerized him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sumnor nodded, keeping hold of his father's shoulders in an attempt to guide him through the cave that was ahead,  he could tell it wasn't too large by sending a few psychic signals forward and have them come back, only about three metres before the exit comes, a constant width of 5 metres, it still amazed him what he could use his mind for, and he could teach anyone how to do it, he just chose not to.

"That cave is our best bet, it's wide enough so we won't be cramped and not to far... so there is very little chance of surprise attack whilst walking through. There should be a town not too far after the cave, I have been there once, not a bad town, or at least it wasn't a thousand years ago."

Xyen paused, looking at the cave Sumnor had led them to. While he inwardly appreciated Sumnor finding such a protected place for them, he didn't believe that Ragnafat or Feala would attack the group again any time soon. Call it Lycan instinct...

He walked forward and into the cave, taking a critical look around as Reiyn strolled in after, his arms crossed. The dark haired Vampire's face was strained, thanks to the events that had taken place. True, he had been expecting the death, but he couldn't allow his image to fall. He immediately cut off his thoughts, leaning his back against the cave wall and sliding down it; Feeling the firm, cold stone through his coat as he sat himself on the cave's sandy floor.

Xyen nodded slowly to himself, accepting the cave as a decent place to stay for a while. He sat himself by Reiyn, closing his eyes and sighing in a melancholy manner; Leaning his head on a hand, his jet black hair falling over his face. Ezeah. What a waste of life, another death that brought Xyen's species closer to extinction.

Rene didn't bother to enter the cave. The whole atmosphere was depressed and negative, not that she could blame them, but she didn't particularly want to be in the thick of it. She had settled on a low tree bough as Xyen and Reiyn entered the cave, and now sat, her eyes on the small expanse of wood in front of her.

There was a small woodland path, not far from the tree she sat on, and behind that; The huge, spreading forms of gigantic oaks and other foilage, a steep faced cliff far in the distance; Rearing above the huge mas.s of the wood.

Well... She thought bitterly. Guess we'll meet yet again... Feala.

~~~
Smiling darkly, the human Necromancer returned the Demon's kiss with a scarcely restrained pas.sion and desire. The scene below had gone well, better than expected, as far as Feala was concerned, and her only true priority was to keep Ragnafat happy. Naturally, she was in a very positive mood.
"I am happy I could please my Lord." She said, pulling away from him gently and glancing back towards the clearing below, where the group had previously been. She snorted under her breath at the fact they had left, seeing as she had almost expected Xaphan to hunt her down immediately. Not that it mattered... She had other plans anyway.
Taking another step away from Ragnafat, she waved a hand negligently, a portal opening to the Realm of the Dead a few feet away. Smiling, she reached out, grasping the Demon Lord's hand in her own, before leading the way through the Gate she had opened. As long as they remained behind the screen, they could never be reached, and that's precisely what Feala wanted. Atleast, just until they decided what to do next... Of course, that would come a little later.
Sumnor follwed Xyen and Reiyn, making sure to stay behind Reiyn, his doubts would not be cleansed until he had witnessed proof, he sat accross from the two, looking at Xyen, "What happened should not have happened, Ezeah was not part of this battle, she was merely a child in comparison to us... For this Ragnafat will pay... but we need a plan, we can't just wade in, we'd end up in shi.t up to our necks doing it that way... we have to find out a way to attack him in wherever he's going to hide with Ragnafat."
Dryac sat next to Sumnor, niele sat close to him, "Your Dad seems really beat up about this, I'm sure it's nothing that he can't handle, but we should keep an eye on him nonetheless, that guy's an amazing vamprie and all, but we don't want him committing Hari Kiri after all we're fighting for... Ragnafat is probably aiming for world domination."
Niele shuddered at the thought of Ragnafat in control, linking Dryac's arm in a similar was to what Feala does with Ragnafat, "As long as I'm wit you... I'll feel safe. you and Father haven't been beaten and killed so far, I'm sure you can find a way through Ragnafat."  Abadon walked over to the group, his hands held in his pockets, "I've got a way in, Rene said that only the dead can pa.ss through, well we're the un-dead, and nobody can give into that animalistic side like i can, let me do it and chuck me whenever you see a portal open, I'll go in and drag her boney a.ss back through with me."
Xaphan walked towards where Rene was, looking up at her, he admired her really, always so seperate, he wished he could be like that, cold and calculating, he always seemed to get too connected, which is why she tore his heart out the way she did when they left eachother, "I know this is awkward... what with our past, but would bit be okay if I stayed with you tonight, not sleeping together on the same branch, just close enough so I know you're there?"
Xyen lifted his head and watched Sumnor as the Vampire spoke, agreeing with most everything he said. Afterall, there was no way they'd have any chance of success if they just pushed straight into hunting the guy. They knew next to nothing about him, except maybe Sumnor, who had clearly faced Ragnafat before at some point.
The Lycan chuckled dryly at Dryac's words, then shook his head soundlessly and closed his eyes. If Xaphan was like any of the other Old Bloods he knew, then he'd survive through this. Simply listening, Xyen didn't speak until Abadon had finished.
"That's not possible."
He said, opening his eyes. "You heard Rene, and she is seldom wrong. If she has already faced this Feala, then she knows more than we do. Clearly, the only way to the land of the dead, is to be dead." He rubbed a temple, thinking. "If only there was a way to get close enough to death to get through a Gate, without actually dying."
He sighed and leaned back, once again closing his eyes. This was going to be a long and difficult ride.
~~~

Rene had her eyes to the sky, reflecting on her last meeting with the Necromancer, before glancing over her shoulder at Xaphan as she heard him approach. That familiarity she felt at hearing him as he spoke pulled her mind joltingly away from her thoughts.

He looked so broken from here. She had known him long enough to know his expressions, however well he hid them; Clearly, the death of the red-headed girl was raw, and it reminded her painfully of her own past. Turning back to the sky, she responded, her voice full of pity and understanding for her fellow Old Blood and very old friend.

"Do what makes you well, Xaphan."
