Shao comes in now? lol can Shao like, come around and shoot the deer and you jump me instead as the deer falls down?
I'll just write thiss for now cause I"m bored:
Alitas was running throught the underbrush, she was hungry and tired so when she picked up the scent of deer she immediatly changed course without noticing it. When she realized what she was doing, she unstrung her bow from her back and removed three bows from her quiver.
"Why does it have to keep running?" she whispered under her breath. Panting, she abruptly came to a halt when she felt the deer stop. "Now's my chace." she told herself, but before she could act, the deer was on the move again, she cursed and resumed the chase.
Alitas blinked once and her vision went black. She saw green lines with moving strands of energy going through them. "Plants," she thought, "not my ideal meal." Turning her head downwards towards lower ground she spotted two moving yellow lights. "One of those has to be the deer, but the other, feels a bit strange, not quite animal, maybe a human?" she contemplated, she was so deep in thought she almost kicked a branch. "I have to be more careful!" she yelled in her head. "Well I wasn't expecting company, nor do I want any but, guess I have to deal with it for now."
Someone else was after her prey, picking up the pace she blocked the deer's path and drew her bow. With a twang the arrow flew at the deer, impaling its neck.
"Finally." she sighed, that thing took more out of me than I thought. It really had, normally she should've been able to just shoot the dang thing, not run after it. The other hunter had ruined her easy kill. "Where is that other hunter anyways?" she thought absent-mindedly. "Maybe they backed off when they sensed me? No..." she told herself, "no one has that ability except me, the ability to sense the life in nature and in prey." Just as she moved to pick up and skin her prize, a shadow hurled at her and they both crashed to the forest floor sending leaves flying into the air and a little girl's voice echoed through the air.
"What in the..?" groaned Alitas pushing the strange child off her stomach.
"What is a kid like you doing in the forest?" the boy pouted at her, he obviously disliked being called a kid. The girl's voice in the background closed in and Alitas caught a name.
"Two kids?" she thought silently "is this a playground now?" she turned to the baffled boy sitting infront of her.
"Abadon huh? like the dark angel of death or whatever, sounds fitting. Anyways, it's dangerous out here and it's getting late, you should go home kids." Alitas felt the girl's presence closing in ever faster and she leapt off the ground landing on a high tree branch.
"Remember my warning Abadon Angel of Death, leave this forest or you WILL regret it." with that she jumped onto another tree and continued on her way out of the forest. Then she remembered, she had left her kill with the boy.
"Well the kids have to eat, I'll come back later to look for scraps." she chuckled, "if they eat raw meat that is." She really doubted the abilities of the children, she thought they were just city kids who had gone on a camping trip and gotten lost. The trees seemed to be whispering to her "BEWARE, DO NOT COME, BEWARE." and she had at least felt obligated to warn them. Now she herself was going to take her own advice and scram, at least until morning.
Alitas' stomach grumbled in annoyance at the loss of a meal. Just then as if the forest had heard and answered, a lame deer plunged through the underbrush just feet from her current position. Alitas' mind kicked into overdrive as she strung an arrow and shot it at the deer then leapt onto it with a dagger. The beast was already asking for death so it fell and as its lifeblood spilled only goaded her on. She split its throat quickly so it wouldn't have to suffer and thanked her invisible gods. Grateful for the low work meal she tore of large chunks of the fresh, bloody meat and swallowed them whole. If a human had seen her then they would've thought she was more animal then human. Then again she hadn't eaten since she entered the forest, that was three days prior.
When she finished gorging herself on her kill she wiped her face and buried the corpse.
"Now to get some real work done." she said with finality, wiping her hands on her dirty slacks. "Why did I have to wear these?" she groaned, "note to self: wear jeans when going on a day or more trip" sighing to herself she leapt into another tree and it welcomed her warmly. Alitas plopped down on the branch and patted the tree, thanking it for the shelter it provided. The tree returned respects and when she asked it to keep watch while she slept it replied,
"Of course young lady, besides it gets boring just sitting here all day." its deep voice thrummed thoughout her body. Alitas was surprised there wasn't a dryad inhabiting such a magnificint tree but she figured it was none of her business anyways. With that thought put to rest she dozed off in the tender branches of an old tree.
