Ace was not an early riser. He thrashed in his sheets as he tried to get comfortable, but the AC had been turned off and it was already getting to be dreadfully hot. Even his cat had left the room to go outside, where there was at least a bit of a breeze to cool down with. With a groan, he got up, glaring at the sunshine streaming in through his window. As he went down the stairs after dressing, he saw that his dad hadn't moved at all since last night. He quickly made himself some toast and dashed out of the door before the old man could wake up and start asking questions. everythign would go south from there. As he nibbled on his toast, Ace wondered what he should do before he went to the bridge, which would be a little after midday. With a sigh, he started walking towards the local park, just to kill time.

Lily played around with Jack, her german shephard, and then they left to jog in the park.

As he sat down on a park bench, Ace leaned his head back, letting the still-early sun warm him. It felt good. As he opened his eyes while still leaned back, he saw the world upside down. Despite this, he had little difficulty catchign sight of Lily. his eyes went wide and he nearly fell over at he rapidly sat up straight.

Lily ran by singing her favorite song but Jack held her back as he barked t Ace. Lily tried pulling him without turning, but then she did and saw Ace. "Oh Good morning Ace!", she said delighted. She looked at him as the morning sun shined off of her brown hair. Jack suddenly stopped barking and sat beside Lily.

Ace put on his best bravado smile and said, "You caught me unawares... I don't remember you having a dog." As he walked over, he knelt down and held his hand out, letting the dog sniff his hand. With a grin, he said, "I used to have a dog."

She smiled as he knelt close to Jack. Jack easily licked ace's hand and then barked loudly Lily had to laugh. |

Ace was momentarily entranced by Lily's laughter before he regained himself. As he gave Jack a final rumple of his fur, he stood, smiling at her and asking, "So, what's your answer to yesterday? I know its a bit earlier than the appointed time, but I think I can deal."

Lily laughed and answered back."lol i dont know...what was your question.", she asked him back. She giggled at him, and looked down at Jake.

Ace tapped his fingers against his chin as he said, "How would I put this bluntly?" He paused for exaggerated dramatic effect before finally saying, "Would you like to go on a date?"

Lily smiled and looked up at him and giggled. She was happy he asked her and Jack barked out loud. "Of course i do.", she asnwered in a bubbly tone. She walked up to him and Jack stopped barking. She kissed him on the cheek then said goodbye and continued her jog, hoping he would follow.

Ace grinned, happy that she had said yes. He watched her run for a moment, an increadibly cute girl that had just agreed to go out on a date with him. Damn, he was good. Still grinning, he kicked up into a fast jog in order to catch up to her and her dog. As he ran, he asked, "Soooo, lunch date then? For starters anyways." A mischevious glint flashed in his eye at that last statement.

She took out her earplugs, looked at her mysteriously, then smiled as her eyes had a bright twinkle to them. She slowed down a bit but then gradually stopped. She let Jack off of his leash, knowing he just wanted to sniff, and sat down somewhere. "Sure !", she said, not even winded a bit. She hesitated, as she saw him looking below her eyes for a quick second, but said nothing about it. She just smiled again. She curiously asked, "Whatcha lookin at?", even though she knew exactly what he was looking at.

Ace slowly lifted his gaze, not bothering to hide it. His grin held, as did the quickness o fhis tongue. "I think you'd be insulted if I said 'nothign at all' since it's quite obviously not 'nothing'." He loved playing with words.

Lily smiled and hit Ace's shoulder lightly, playing around. She looked up at the sky and giggled. She looked over at Jack trying to chase his tail and she laughed even more.

With a grin, Ace threw his arm around Lily's shoulders, trapping her against his side. He leaned down towards her ear to say, "Funny thing how dogs find the greatest entertainment in the smallest of things."
