Krystal grabbed the new gun she was looking for from the weaponry room and headed to the garage, hoping Parker would already be in the hummer. Giving a whistle, she called for Kaz and threw her things in the backseat of the car, seeing him run up she patted the seat gesturing him up, swiftly he gave a big leap and plopped over on the seat, clearly ready for the trip.

"Do you really think I'd shoot someone without knowing who they are?" Echo said in a teasing manner, lowering her gun and putting it in the holster, "I work for no one but our country's freedom, something you government clearly don't care for. But you aren't government, are you?" she asked strong and confident, looking from the female to the male.

"You're pretty smart." Dev complimented. "No, we aren't government but how did you find this place?" I asked. I looked at Xander in my peripheral vision. I wondered what he was thinking.

Xander wasn't surprised that this woman knew they weren't government agents, but just because she was well informed didn't mean she was trustworthy. Though she didn't seem to work for the government, Xander already had problems trusting people and he wasn't about to consider this person a pal.
Because he knew Dev probably wouldn't like anything he had to say about this situation, he kept his mouth shut for the time being and waited for the stranger's reply.

Parker was, as to be expected, packed and already in the Hummer. To no ones surprise she was still climbing around shoving weapons into the strangest places, half the weaponry was already missing from the walls. "Just one more..." she strained trying to shove a dagger into a compartment under the back seat. She only stopped when Kaz entered the vehicle furiously licking her ears as she awkwardly tried to get out from under the seats in a fit of giggles. "Kaaaz! stop, stop." she finally emerged dishelved from the 2nd row seating, her glasses sitting slanted on her nose. She made a quick adjustment before crawling over the center console to her seat. She pulled her favorite crossbow from under the seat and on to her lap, fastening her seat belt. She pulled from her bag a new set of wrist blades and passed them to Krys.

Krystal gave a slight smile when she saw the new wrist blades, "Oh Parker, you know me too well" she said in a slightly teasing voice then started the car, putting it in gear then driving out of the garage and into the clearing just outside it. "Before we start off, did you forget anything?" she started then glanced down and saw a few weapons stuffed under the seat, "Other than weapons" she looked back at Parker awaiting her answer.

"I'd like to think so" Echo started then looked around the room, "Before I answer that, who are you people and what is this place?" she asked, an ordinary building should not have this many hi-tech, heavy duty computers or a whole lot of teens fully armed with some of the best of weapons.
Looking at the male stranger Echo could see in his eyes that he had no trust in her and clearly was un-easy about this whole situation. 'I can see that's the smart one' she thought to herself before looking back at the red haired girl.

Dev thought for a moment. She furrowed her eyebrows as now the girl was asking questions as if she was in a position of control. Since she got in the building it kind of made Dev look bad. This girl grinds Dev's gears. Dev was going to have to explain or crack a deal. "Who we are isn't important right now. This base is our headquarters for devising plans for the government." Dev paused. "Now if you want to hear more either join us since you despise our government or leave." Dev said assertively.

"What?!" Xander nearly fell over at Dev's words. Did she know what she was saying? He clenched his fist tightly, holding back more words as he remembered the situation he himself was in when Dev accepted him as a General. With no reason to trust him, she simply assumed he was not a bad person.
But he was not Dev, he could not welcome this person just because of their shared dislike for the Government's current state. "How do we know we can trust her?" Xander asked in a low voice.

Dev's gaze shifted to Xander. "We don't." I siad in a hushed tone. "If she joins we can keep an eye on her here. We don't have many options here." Dev was begining to get impatient with Xander. He acted like he didn't trust her in this situation. Yet Dev doesn't even trust herself most times.

Xander said nothing more, realizing Dev was probably right. It was better to have her here than running around where they couldn't see her. He should have had more faith in Dev as a General, but something was clouding his judgement. Thinking it best not to push the issue any further, he gave a mistrusting glare to the intruder.

"Of course i'm all packed and ready," Parker laughed as she buckled her seat belt. She began punching buttons on the navigational system to Devs base. Their route was mapped with every tree,twist,rock and acorn in between. They should be able to reach Devs base in a few days if they werent stopped, and the weather permitted from here to there. Parker cracked her knuckles and settled in her seat, listening to Kaz panting from the back seats. She was ready to leave the base and get out for a bit anyways, it would be nice to see the others as well. |

"Good, lets go then" Krystal gave a small nod then drove off on the abandoned, beaten road out of sights of the government. She started glancing at the scenery as they drove along, then losing herself in her thoughts she remembered back when her and Parker would take at least one roadtrip a month even if it was just for fun. "Hey Parker...you still have that old playlist we would always listen to?" she asked looking to the side.

Echo had to stop herself from snickering when the two teens began to bicker, then held out her hand to the girl "Why not, you seem trustworthy enough and I am guessing you are the leader correct?" she asked looking from the male to female again.

Dev relaxed the tension in her shoulders and cracked her knuckles. "I'll explain everything in a more comfortable area." Dev glanced over to Xander. "Xander take her to one of the empty quarters and we discuss things there. Now excuse me I need to get something from my room. Play nice." I said exiting the room. I ran back to my room making sure not to more my shoulder. Dev exited the room and ran to her room holding her arm so her shoulder wouldn't move much. She grabbed the water and the half eaten bar and hoped to catch up to that girl and Xander.

Parker relaxed on the drive looking around them as they made their way to Dev's base. She was so happy to be out of the house so to say. "You know it!" she pressed button number 4 on the stereo system, and adjusted the volume. She smiled as she nodded her head to the beat as the sound filtered through the speakers.
..Darling you got to let me know.. should I stay or should I go? ..If you say that you are mine.. I'll be here till the end of time

Xander put away his weapon, and began walking down the hallway, assuming Echo would follow. He didn't say anything to the new member of the team; he was thinking. Every fiber of his existence didn't like this situation, but for Dev, he would give this girl a chance. If there was anyone here that had an untouched innocence, at least in Xander's eyes, it was her. Perhaps it was the reason -- no, he knew that was why he felt such a need to stay by her side.
He entered the room two doors down from his own and stood off to the side with his arms crossed and leaned against the wall. "You haven't even said who you are." he stated.

Krystal nodded along, tapping her fingers on the steering wheel until she couldn't help it and started moving her mouth to the lyrics, whispering along with the song. Kaz had moved from the back seat and jumped up onto the divider between the two front seats, his loud panting almost covering up the radio.

Echo followed the man into the empty room and dipped her head "Echo Heart, and you are?" She asked now not using her disguise accent. She looked into the boy's eyes trying to read his emotion 'He must be hiding it, don't you even think I can't see everything though' she thought silently as she stretched her back until the the slow pops and then the relaxing relief, she stood straight again.

Dev ran and caught up to Xander and that girl. She heard the girl introduce herself. 'Echo Heart, hm.' Dev thought to herself. Dev took a sip of her water and walked towards the two of them.

"General Xander Sykes." Xander answered, his tone remaining the same as he spoke. Noticing Dev enter the room, he murmured a barely audible sentence that only Echo could have heard while Dev approached. "Stop trying to read me."

Parker smiled as they drove on to Dev's base, singing along with Krystal. The song had changed several times by now, but it was always as great as the first. She chuckled as Kaz made his way up front, he always had to be in the middle of the action she always said. Sometimes Kaz was more a person than a dog in some ways. "Well Krys I dont know about you but I could use a pit stop." she siad cracking her knuckles and twisting to pop her back. Car rides were fun, but they sure could make you stiff. They would of course have to be careful, pick a secluded rest point. "You know I can't wait to see Dev, how do you think Xander is holding up with her?" she laughed as she asked.

Krystal tapped the screen on the dashboard to see where a good place to stop would be, "Looks like theres one up ahead, about four or five miles" she commented before giving a silent laugh. "He's probably ready for some company, maybe we can keep Dev busy so he can get a breath of fresh air." She snickered then looked at Kaz who looked ready to get out soon. After a few miles they came across a secluded abandoned gas station, it was surrounded by trees growing all over it, putting the Hummer in park and turning it off she unbuckled, opened the door then got out adjusting her wrist blades into place. "Hey, what state do you think we're in now, and don't look at the GPS" She said teasingly letting Kaz out of the car and watched as he ran around joyfully.

'General...' Echo thought silently to herself before standing straight as she heard Xander speak silently. She watched as the other teen had entered the room then looked her in the eyes wondering what was to be said, 'why do I trust these people so much, I barely know either of them' she started but shook her head glancing down 'no, trust is nothing more than a lie, you can't put all your trust in someone' she scolded herself then looked back up hoping neither of them noticed she had gotten lost in thought.

Dev notices the girl staring into her eyes and also noticed the tension between the two. Dev took a chair and sat down sitting on her foot. "Alright let's talk but before we continue I'll introduce myself. My name is Dev Starfire and I'm the leader of this organization," Dev paused."May I ask your name?"
