Oliver grunted, catching the towel in one hand as the other pulled up his pant leg. A bloody mess came into view. "Do you have any tweasers?" he muttered, voice tinged the accent he only had when angry. "If I'm to survive this mess, I'll need to get the bullet out of my leg." Shoving the towel in his mouth, he winced and cussed into the fabric as he tore the lower part of his jeans off, exposing more of his slim, muscular legs. "Thank you for pulling me up, by the way. I hope it wouldn't be rude to ask what your name is. After all, I am bleeeding half to death on your bed," he muttered as he pulled the towel from his mouth and wrapped it around his calf. He wondered, at the back of his mind, what had made her choose to open the window, but knew better than to ask. Why should he bother? He was here, safe and sound for the moment, so who would he be to complain? Lips turning up at the corners, Oliver added, "And before you ask, no, I'm not going to kill you. You people need to relax; not every charming, handsome person who shows up at your door- or window- is out to take your life. We've got other things to do. More interesting, productive things." Grinning through the pain, he couldn't get past how queer the whole situation was.

It was official. This was the most awkward postition she'd been in all her life. Even more awkward then the time when she accidently dropped all her food on Eddie, the guy she had a crush on at school. When he asked for tweezers, she walked to her vanity, got her small make up bag out, and gave him some tweezers. She was tempted to offer to help get the bullet out. She was always never intimidated by the look of blood, more of fascinated. But, it would be dangerous touching his blood, if she had any cuts on her hands. Did he just call himself handesome? And charming? Nikki wasn't the one to say her opinions out loud, she was more of the quiet type, but she couldn't help but say, "You have a lot of room to talk, sayingyourcharning yet come to girl's windows with a bullet in your leg...That's not very charming, if you want my opinion." She stopped herself there, for it was completely out of charactar. Instead, she said, "Anyways, I'm Nikki." She didn't want to offer him help, for she just realized he was bleeding on her bed. She didn't realize that before. She turned away from him, and massaged her temples. "I don't know how I'm going to explain this to my parents..." She said to herself. She looked back at him, and said, "How'd this happen?" She sat on her desk chair, and faced him, crossing her arms. OOC: Sorry about the three words she says that have no spaces. It says 'saying your charming'. My computer is being wierd, and when I type infront of letters, the letters erase. I don't know how to explain it lol. D:

{ My computer does that sometimes. I forget how to correct it though. P: } Oliver was the master of lying, decieving and cheating. She didn't even have to ask before he knew what his excuse was. He rolled his eyes and took the tweezers, setting them on the bed beside him. "You hardly have the capacity to judge, do you, Nikki?" he inquired, her name not feeling right as he spoke. "Would you have preferred me be shot to death on the streets than seek the shelter of a house? Nearly being killed makes me no less charming than I was before I met you." Running a hand through his brown and purple hair, he sighed. "I ran out of food, so I thought it'd be best to head out during the day to get more. I've got no clue how much longer it will be, so I didn't want to risk starvation." Shrugging, Oliver began to peel off the towel; it was stained scarlet already. "Some guy came out of nowhere, wearign a ski mask; he shot at me, so I ran and took cover wherever I could. Mainly, this house right here." He smirked, looking content with himself. "I'dd suggest you look away, unless you're interested in what the inside of my leg looks like."

Nikki was speechless at his quick remark to her, but tried not to show it. Hey, for a guy who just got shot, he was good at combacks. She lifted an eyebrow to him, as he suggested her looking away. It made her want to see his leg open even more. She guessed he was sexist. Thinking, just because she's a girl, she would be disgusted with that kind of thing. Good thing for her, she wasn't. Ever since she was 13, she's wanted to be just like her dad, a doctor. Or somewhere in the medical business. So, that means ever since then, she took any opportunity to look at things like this, to get used to it. She had the stomach for it. And for some reason, she kind of liked it. "I'm fine with it." Was all she said though, staying on her chair. After hearing about what happened with the guy in a ski mask, she hoped this guy wouldn't draw the ski mask guy to her house. With that thought in mind, she said, "Uhm... Where do you usually stay? Like..Where do you live?" She's never seen him around where she lived before, and he was most definately not staying here. Not for too long atleast. Soon, her parents would check in on her, to say that dinner was ready. How would they react to a random guy in her room, bleeding on her bed? That would be quite a scene to walk into...

"Alright, suit yourself then," Oliver grumbled, feeling more than annoyed that she insisted in seeing his leg in the condition it was in. Letting the towel fall to the floor, he moaned quietly; there was a hole in his leg, at least the width of his middle finger, and it was deep. As if just looking at it made it worse, the pain flared up again, forcing him to grit his teeth. Oliver couldn't see the bullet, but instead of asking for a flashlight, he decided it would just be better to take his chances without. Slowly, the tweezers made their way into his right hand and towards the wound, sweat beading on his forehead. He took a moment to answer her question. "I live on Eldar Street. 2525, in the big grey house with the black roof." Squinting his eyes as if it would help, he held his breath as the tweezers inched further into the gun shot wound... and touched a piece of metal with a soft click only his ears could pick up. Oliver sucked in a deep breath, not daring to move. He'd forgotten how hard this was, even though he'd been shot with silver bullets a few times before. "Do me a favour, hun, and grab me a flash light and something to bite down on; I've got quite the set of lungs on me, if you catch my drift."

Nikki watched as he painfully took the tweezers and searched for the bullet. It looked deep. Maybe he'll need stitches! Nikki thought, excitedly. She was taught how to do stitches, and helped her dad many times doing it. She smirked at the thought of doing it for him, but her mind went back in focus when he started talking again. "Yeah, I can get that. Give me a sec..." She walked out of her room, downstairs, tried to sneak passed her parents, and went to the basement. There, she had a flashlight. When she found it, she walked back upstairs, and tried to sneak passed her parents again, but...Failed miserably. "How long have you been downstairs? I didn't see you walk down." She heard her father say, as she was trying to sneak up the stairs to her room. "And...Why do you have a flashlight?" Before Nikki could respond, her mother walked to them, "Dinner's ready." Nikki stood there speechless, and then finally realizing that the mystery boy upstairs could scream out of pain at any minute, said, "Uhm, you guys start eating, I'll be right down." And with that, she ran up to the bathroom, got another rag for him to bite into, and walked back into her room. "Here." She said, while closing the door and giving him the rag, and flashlight. "How fast can this go? My parents are expecting me downstairs, and if they come up here, I don't know how to explain to them about this. Especially the whole blood stained sheets..." She pointed to the blood under his wound, and sighed, shaking her head.

Oliver was going to suggest PMS, but settled on the conclusion that excuse would get her nowhere, and suggesting it may even earn him a slap across the face. Taking the cloth in his free hand, he said nothing in return, stuffing it in his mouth in an attempt to block any noise that may try to escape him. Then he took the flashlight, turned it on, and aimed it at his leg; the wound looked red, swollen, and irritated. Stomach churning, he cursed into the rag in his mouth as he tried to get a grip on the bullet. His grip tightened on the flashlight, cracking the thick plastic it was made of slightly. Finally, sweat dripping down his neck, he pulled the bullet loose and spit the cloth out, retrieving the bloody one from the floor to press on his leg again. Tears stung his eyes, but he forced them down and shot Nikki a powerful look. "Go catch up to your parents; when you come back up here, your room will be just as it was before I showed up. Promise." Oliver tied the towel soundly, standing up with a grimace. "It'll be like I was never here." Silently, he slipped the silver bullet into his back pocket, as if keeping it like a souvenir.

At first, Nikki smiled at the thought of her bedroom being the way it was, without all the blood, and started for the door. When something came to mind, "Are you even able to walk? Just lie down. Don't worry about that right now." She was tempted to ask him if he needed stitches, and if so, could she do them, but she'd rather not. That would mean him staying here longer, which would mean risking more danger, which would ALSO mean making her parents more suspicious. Before he could respond, she heard her parent's calling her down. "Nikki? What's taking so long?" And, "Nikki, were not going to wait any longer, the food's getting cold!" Nikki sighed, and walked out of the room, and downstairs. "Sorry. I was...Distracted." She went to the kitchen sink, washed her hands, and then sat down at the table, to eat. The whole time during the dinner, Nikki's mind trailed to the mystery boy. She was hoping he was alright. Hopefully resting his leg. But...What about her sheets? He better be fixing those. Ironically, throughout this whole thing, she never even got his name. In her head, he was called 'Mystery Boy'. She'll have to remember to ask him that, when she went back upstairs. If he was still there, of course. The thought of him not being there, made her curious to go back upstairs and check. But, she didn't. She ate quietly, while her parents talked about who knows what.

Oliver was far too anxious to rest. He knew that once he had removed the silver from his system, it would only be an hour or two until his wound was completely healed; should he stay, and risk exposing this unnatural ability, or flee the house and forget all about Nikki? Somehow, the latter didn't seem as tempting as it was a few minutes ago when she was in the room. But, as expected of Oliver, he didn't obey. Instead he got to work cleaning up the mess he'd made of her room, only getting distracted for a few minutes when he'd stumbled across her panty drawer. Humming as he limped around the room and cleaned the blood off of the floor, he didn't realize how much time had passed. When he laid back on her bed, that was when Oliver noticed that he had been in her house longer than he'd meant to be. But the thought of staying was perversly tempting, so he stayed put, staring at the door as if anxious to see her again. This human was very interesting, and unlike others, didn't seem to be very whiny or clingy. Olvier smiled. She seems like a fun girl to play around with a little... I hope she doesn't mind getting her feelings hurt.

OOC: That post just made me laugh so hard...'When he'd stumbled across her panty drawer...'. Omg... >D BIC:
"Nikki, slow down! Your eating faster then usual. Are you alright?" Her mother exclaimed, while putting a hand on her daughters shoulder. Only untill then, did Nikki realize how fast she was eating. How eager she was too see how her room looked. To see if there were any blood stains. To see if everything was back in order. To see if he was still there. "Yes, mom, I'm perfectly fine. Just a little more hungry then usual. That's all." She tried to shrug her shoulder's, as if nothing was wrong, but her mind was still up 15 steps, to the left, taking a right turn, inside her bedroom, and the boy inside it. If he was still there. When they were finished eating, Nikki usually offered to help clean up. Put today was different. She got up and said, "I'm full" while there was half of her pasta left. She only ate her salad, really. It wouldn't hold her over for the night, she would probably come back down for a midnight snack like she always did, but for now she was filled with being anxious to go back upstairs. "I thought you were 'more hungry then usual'?" Her father quoted. "Well, now I'm full." Nikki replied, and before they could ask more questions, she added, "I'll probably be...going to bed soon. So ...Good night, mom. Dad." With that she walked as normally quick as possible up the stairs, and into her room. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Oddly, this nervousness was in the pit of her stomach as she now slowly walked to her room. When she passed the bathroom, she had a sudden urge to check what she looked like, but chose not too. Why had she want to see how she looked? ODD. She kept walking, and finally got to her room. She opened the door, expecting to see him gone, but saw him lieing on her bed. She leaned one hand against the door knob and said, "Thought you'd leave by now? Don't you have any family worrying about you?" After saying that, she closed the door behind her, and (Just in case her parents came around.) locked it. Then, she sat on her desk chair, like last time, with her arms crossed.

{ LOL. I laughed just typing it. x3 } "My family is dead," Oliver replied curtly, eyes suddenly guarded. A bitter feeling washed over him, but he pushed it back down to the back of his mind and resisted the urge to pull out a cigarette. "But thank you for being concerned about my home life, Nikki." It wasn't a lie either, he was just leaving out the part about them being dead for a long, long time. Sniffing, he sat up and crossed his arms over his chest, immitating her with shocking accuracy. "What about your Mommy and Daddy? Aren't they worried about you hiding a stranger in your room, neverless a teenage boy?" He grinned, his smile both charming and repulsing, and swung his legs over the side of the bed as if he were going to get up. The burning returned, however, so Oliver stayed where he was. "You're welcome, by the way. Your room was an absolute disaster, and I had problems finding clean sheets. I hope you don't mind blue. It's a nice color, acutally... so don't complain until I leave." Oliver ran a hand through his messy hair again. "So. Nikki. What does a sweet girl like you do while locked up inside her house all day?"

Nikki mentally scolded herself. Oh, you idiot! You better be careful about what you say, when it's about his personal life... She watched as he mimicked her, and couldn't help but smirk while shifting her postion too - One arm leaning against the desk, the other at her side. "Actually, that's why I locked the door. I don't know what they'd think if they saw you in here. They're really strict about those kinds of things, especially guys. Though, I don't know why..." She shrugged. When he explained about cleaning her room, she rolled her eyes. She actually just realized the bedroom was cleaned up. When she first walked in, all she thought about was the fact that he was still there. "I told you to rest your leg..." She mumbled to herself, then sighed and said, "But, thanks. Blue's my favorite color, so you picked good." She found herself watching him run a hand through his hair. Her mind was blank, but she was just staring. That's when she realized, he asked a question. "I don't really do much..." She said, as she looked to the cieling, the floor, the bed sheets. Anything but back to him. "I actually get really bored since I just sleep, eat, and probably stare out that window for a really long time, hoping to see-" She laughed at herself and stopped, then added to change the subject, "I'm guessing I may be sweet, but not very interesting." She did a small laugh with a shrug. She knew it already, so it wasn't going to hurt her if he agreed.

Oliver flopped onto the bed, rolling onto his back so he was staring at her upside down. She looked interesting from this point of view, and he thought he could almost see up her nose. "I think just the opposite. I've never had a boring life, so I find boring people very interesting. So, if you dumb that down, that pretty much just means you're not boring to me. Tell me more about what you... normal people do. It sounds cool." He wondered, distantly, what it must be like to have enough time in a day to stare out of a window, or sleep for a solid five hours. To be able to live safely, not worrying about a thing, wrapped up in security like some sort of soft blanket. But it had been a long time since Oliver had done any of those, and he couldn't quite remember the feeling. Then, feeling a little embarassed, he added, "I'm Gray, by the way. Oliver Gray. Please don't call me Ollie or I'm afraid I'll have to kill you." He sounded serious.

When Oliver flipped to look upside down at her, she felt a little more self concious, and turned on an angle. To, again, look at anything but him running his hand through his hair the way he did. It was... alluring. And she didn't like it. "I...Okay." She said, wide-eyed at him, as he threatened to kill her just for calling him Ollie. "What's wrong with-" She rolled her eyes, and didn't finish. The last thing she needed was to get him bitter again by asking a wrong question. For a quiet girl, she really was a nosy one. She chose not to respond to his first statement. It was... Confusing. She didn't want to sound stupid by saying , 'Clarify?'. Instead, she answered his question. "Uhm... Well, there isn't much. All our lives are consisted of eating, talking, sleeping, and... Well loving everyone." Wow. She should work for hallmark, with her cheesy sayings. Out of nowhere, she asked, " If your not normal, the way I am, then who are you?" She asked, not realizing what she was asking until it slipped out. But it was odd right? A human asking another human how they live. What they do? If he was normal, he wouldn't have asked. It was as if he was... Different in some way. Not normal. Realizing she got too personal again, she said, "Sorry. I didn't mean to pry. But it is odd for you to ask something like that." This time, unwillingly, she looked back at him.

Oliver grinned; he liked girls who weren't afraid to dig a little deeper. Turning over, again, as if he couldn't sit still, he simply said, "I move around a lot. I work two or three jobs at a time. I've never really had a normal life, as I've always had to rely on myself. I never had a childhood, or even got to experience the drama and thrills of high school." His eyes scanned her's, as if trying to read her soul. "And that's all you people do? Eat, Sleep, and Love?" Shrugging, he sighed and began to play with the bullet he'd just pulled out of his pocket. Oliver wiped the blood off of it on his shirt and began to examine it closely. "Why, do you think that I'm weird or something? That I'm not like everyone else or something?" pausing, he stopped smiling and looked back at Nikki, completely serious. "You keep acting like I make you nervous. Do I, Nikki? Is there something about me that makes you uncomfortable? He waited patiently for her answer.

By the end of his speaking, she was utterly speechless. He was so outspoken, saying what was on his mind. It seemed easy to him. She didn't think nervous was the word. Maybe anxious. Or Scared. Maybe she just didn't want to admit that he 'read her mind', and that she really was nervous. "Uhm..." She stalled. Intimidated by the stare he had, looking patient, but there was this tiny tension in the air. Was she really nervous? "No. It's not that. Really. I was just... Wondering. I just didn't know what to think when you... when you asked me about how 'normal' people lived. It's not that I think your wierd." She also wanted to admit, with all her time day dreaming (No. Not just about Eddie.), she had a bigger imagination now. But she didn't say that. What if he thought that was juvenile? Why did she even care what he thought? With that, she sighed and got up. "Your kind of lucky you didn't get the what you call 'thrill's' in high school. They're not so exciting once your there, you know? Those thrills, you should really call 'embarressing', or 'humiliation'." She leaned against her wall, standing. She found that they both kept moving around. She was moving around, because she did feel uncomfortable. But refused to admit it. Was he feeling that uncomfortableness with her, too? "Are you asking me if I'm uncomfortable with you, because your uncomfortable with me?" She crossed her arms once again, and this time, waited for his answer.

"What is so embarassing about High school? You go there, learn some stuff from some people, meet the guy/gal of your dreams, and make a bunch of dim-witted friends who you don't actually enjoy being around," Oliver inquired, tilting his head to the side slightly. "Or, at least that's what watching TV a few times a year has taught me." "Hm. You really are a bad liar, you know," Oliver told her, a glitter of amusement appearing in his usually emotionless ice blue eyes. "But no, you don't make me uncomfortable in the slightest, because I'm not scared of you. I know there's nothing you could do to ever hurt or kill me... that you would get away with." Arching one eyebrow, a skill he'd taught himself recently, he watched her move about the room. He stood, carefully, making sure to put most of his weight on his right, uninjured leg. "You're rather... stubborn and quiet. It's very funny. Why so serious, huh?" He grinned, pearly teeth glinted eerily. "Or do you always act like this around boys?"

Nikki felt her face blush as he mentioned how she acted with guys. That statement made her think of Eddie. And thinking of him always made her face redder then normal. "Uh..." She said, stalling. She never knew how to respond with this guy. Maybe he WAS just a lunatic who asked a lot of questions about normal people's lives, and knocked on people's windows all the time, and threatened to kill them if they called him Ollie. Real original. "I...I'm always serious, I guess. It's not just w..-wtih guys..." She shrugged, and looked down as he stood up. Why all of a sudden so shy with him? Maybe she was turning bipolar, where her moods change alot. Either that, or this guy had a wierd way of turning a girl on. Did she just admit to herself she was turned on to him? No. Absolutely not. She stared at him sometimes - sure. And, felt anxious about seeing him after dinner. But that doesn't mean she is turned. NOPE. ...Right? To change the subject, she said, "You really shouldn't be walking on that leg. Lie back down." Wow, she was so bossy. Saying it like a little girl hiding in a corner. Why was she turning so pathetic now?

Oliver ignored her, walking towards her so he could put one hand on the wall next to her head and lean in, face inches from her's. "Trying to be assertive now, huh? Why don't you make me lay back down, Nikki?" Inhaling deeply, he couldn't help but notice that she smelled strangely of strawberries, vanilla, a little bit of cinnamon and something else he couldn't place. It was oddly enticing. "Try not to stutter, hun, it's hardly attractive at all." Oliver leaned even closer, eyes dancing, lips barely an inch away from her's. Something scared him, though, and he pulled away at an astonishing speed, able to hear someone begin to climb the stairs before she could. An unfamiliar voice made him smile slightly, as if this were all a game. "Come on, then, Nikki. There's your precious Mommy and Daddy coming. Want to show them the boy you've been hiding in the closet? Or shall I just jump out the window?" He crossed his arms over his chest, leaning on his right leg, waiting for her answer with a smooth, condescending smirk. { Derp. Bed time. :u }

OOC: This post just made my morning <3... BIC: When Oliver layed his hand on the wall behind her, that's when her loopiness started. She didn't know why, but the taste of his breath made her realize she was holding her own. She took a deep breath, now smelling his alluring musty breath, while he talked, not able to look at him right in the eye. When she did, she wished she didn't. Something about being this close to him, made her loopy, her stomach twirled, and made her not really know what was going on. For a second, she was even closing her eyes. Finally, after making her jump when he jumped back, he gave her some room. She put her hand over her chest, as if to slow her heart down from beating so wildly. If felt like it might burst a rib. When she started to hear her parents come up the stairs, her loopiness vanished, and panic settled in. She swore under her breath, as she groaned to herself, "Oh no...." She went to her bed, and got on her knees, as she unlocked and opened her window. That's when she realized her hands were shaking, wildly. It felt like a deja vu, since she noticed her hands were shaking before letting Oliver in. Before this nightmare started. "Uhm..." She said, looking back at him. "Is your leg okay, to get out of here, through a window? I can help you." She said, motioning him to hurry up, and LEAVE before she passed out from her heart still beating abnormally fast. If his breath made her body react this way, what would have happened if he kissed her? Or more? She didn't want to think about that at this panicing moment, for before Oliver responded, she heard her parents knocking on the door. "Nikki? Why is the door locked? Are you alright?" Nikki sighed, and layed her forehead on the window. "Why can't I lock my door while..." She thought for a moment. "While I'm naked? I'm changing." She looked back at the door and waited for their reply. Finally, they said, "When your done changing, unlock the door." Nikki didn't respond, and instead did more of a whisper. "C'mon Oliver. I can't have them see you." She said the second sentence a little louder then expected. "Nikki? Who are you talking to?" Nikki had no idea how to respond. So she ignored them, and their comments about hurrying up to open the door. She stared at Oliver, waiting.
