Oliver grunted in response, smiling slightly to himself, risisting the urge to pull out a cigarette. It hardly seemed appropriate to light up in front of Nikki... but he really needed the strength it brought.

When she spoke, her breath tickled the back of his neck, making his stomach twist painfully. He wanted to run a hand through his hair, know she'd probably messed it up, but simply tightened his grip on her legs and continued to trudge through the snow.

"So," he said quietly, voice echoeing in the night. "How was the view? Before we fell, I mean."

And, yes. Her smelling his hair made it very messed up ;)))))!!!]]

The long silence as he trugged on wasn't even noticable anymore to Nikki for, she found herself closing her eyes and enjoying the warmth of Oliver.

She would never have enough nerve to say this aloud to anyone -especially not him- but she new now how much she was starting to like him. It seemed unhealthy how bad she had it for him.
Hearing him finally speak, Nikki smiled while keeping her eyes closed, still in heaven.
"I liked it alot." Technically, she didn't like being in that tree at all, for it was high up. But, he was right about the scenery that she saw for that couple of moments. It was beautiful. "The most beautiful thing I've ever seen, really."

As they got closer to her house, something came to Nikki's mind.
"Hey... Oliver? You don't think anyone heard us when we fell off that tree right? Because, I know I screamed..." All of a sudden nervous, her arms tightened even tighter around his kneck, her legs tighter around his waist, not caring at that moment if she was choking him. It was bad how safe she felt with him.

Oliver made a noise similar to a purr- it rumbled in his chest and brought about a feeling of warmth and happiness. But it faded quickly when Nikki asked him about someone hearing them. The exact same thought had haunted his mind, only he had one person in specific lingering in his thoughts. Riven.

He frowned, and shook his head as gently as possible. "No. Nobody dares wander outside anymore except for you and I. There's no possible way that anyone could have heard us. And even if somebody did they'd be too scared to investigate."

He couldn't help but noticed how having her weight on his back, her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck made his train of thought keep going off track. It was driving Oliver insane. He smiled, clearing his throat as her grip tightened.

[[ Nooo, you can have Riven come out. I didn't want to tell you what to do, but I was hoping that was going to happen bahahaha :3
But, I have to go, so if you want you can post that now, or wait until I post tomarrow. D: I'm trying to get on after five o clock PM. So I won't be 'on as much' but I'll be on still. xD so..Yeah Byeee~ D:]]

Oliver didn't say anything about pain as she tightened herself to him, but not wanting to hurt him, she tried to loosen up. But, with his response, she tightened up against him again. Though, he assured her that it was safe, she was still nervous.
With a shaky sigh, she said,
"Alright."
Trying to believe him, but knowing she wasn't succeeding. Murderers were killing anyone who went outside. How stupid was she! Going in the middle of the night with this stranger who got shot and still can walk...

"Hey...Hows your leg doing? I mean... I doubt someone who has gotten shot can walk as good as you could before we fell off the tree, in just a couple days..."

Oliver's whole body went rigid, his eyes widening slightly. How would he get himself out of this one? How would he convince Nikki that there was nothing abnormal about being able to walk a day after being shot? He couldn't. 

Which is why he was almost glad when someone stepped out of the shadows and grinned at him.

The first thing Oliver noticed was that his teeth were sharp, like his own. The second thing he noticed was that it was Riven; wearing nothing but jeans cut-off at the knees and running shoes. Not unlike himself.

Eyes scanning the familiar dark-skinned, muscular body, Oliver curled his lip and snarled, nearly forgetting Nikki on his back.

"Hola de nuevo, viejo amigo." Riven hissed, voice as smooth and inviting as black silk. His tone had an underlying la
yer of venom. "Ollie... I've missed you... and who is this? She is very beautiful." He spoke with a thick spanish accent, rich golden eyes focused on Nikki hungrily.

Oliver slid Nikki off of his back, narrowing his icy blue eyes. "Nikki... get away from here." He turned to face her, making sure she was alright. "I'll handle this guy." Secretly, he hoped she didn't understand spanish.

Just when things were starting to feel calm again, some more chaos happens. Reluctantly, she slid off of Oliver, shaking... Well every part of her body was shaking.
The way this man stared at her, made her feel uncomfortable. And what he spoke - how he spoke - didn't make anything better.
As her feet hit the pavement, a new kind of pain slammed into her joints. She didn't have time to have empathy for Oliver for dealing with it while carrying her, for he commanded her to get away. This knew guy, oddly dressed the same as Oliver - and looked alot the same- was in the way of her getting home. For a moment, all she could do was stare franticly in Olivers eyes.
Leave? All by myself?
Breathing heavily even though she didn't even start running, she nodded her head and obeyed Oliver. It didn't matter if they just met. It didn't matter who this guy was, and how they were friends - yes, she knew what 'amigo' meant. She trusted Oliver more then anyone else.
"Okay." She muttered before turning around, ignoring the pain that flashed up and down her side, and started for a run. One whimper she was trying to keep inside her mouth escaped her lips as she ran, the snow tingling her numb feet.

And, I actually have to go. I just saw you post the second I was leaving and just had to see how you responded. xD ]]

Though the pain in her back and hip was getting worse, Nikki kept on running. Though she was running fast, her mind was still able to wonder about the man Oliver was with.
Still be able to worry about Oliver.
When a couple moments passed, she couldn't help but stop running. Putting her hands on her knees, she breathed heavily, ignoring the pain in her joints.
When she felt a hand on her shoulder, she gasped. She would have screamed but she was still breathing heavy so not much could come out.
"Oh, Oliver its you." She said, as she quickly wrapped her arms around his kneck. She wasn't really thinking about how stupid she was being for hugging him, because she was too busy glad that he was safe. She didn't care about the fact that he came up to her faster then expected since she thought she ran farther. "Are you alright? Was he one of the killers around here?" She let go of his kneck, grabbed his face with both hands and stared franticly into his eyes. "Did he hurt you?" She asked.

Oliver felt his throat constrict when her arms flew around him. She was going to die... and most likely by his friend's hand. How could he pretend that everything was alright? He couldn't.

But somehow, he found himself starting to smile. He placed his hands on top of hers and stared back at her. "I'm fine... he can't hurt me. It's alright." I ignored her second question, by heart thrumming in my chest. There was no answer I could give her that would be acceptable.

"Come on, Nikki... let's go home and get you cleaned up." 

Feeling a little more relieved that Oliver was alright, a small sigh escaped her lips. She smiled wider as she felt his hand wrap around hers, and she let go of his cheeks.
"Alright." She said, as her arms got dropped down to acheing sides. "I need a long hot shower..." She mumbled to herself as she started back with him.

Oliver stood in her backyard, gazing up at her window with a slight frown. "There's no way we can get back up there in this condition... is there any way we can sneak in through the front?" He sighed and ran a hand through his brown and purple hair, shaking his head slightly.

The pain in his shoulder had faded away, as he hadn't even noticed it when continuing to piggy back Nikki home. Now she was standing beside him as they gaze at her bedroom window. What a predicament this was. 

Gladly, she got held again the whole walk back to her house. Which was a good thing because her back was still hurting. Atleast she had an excuse to her parents - like Oliver said, the story will be, she fell down the stairs. Though, she still felt guilty. Lieing to her parents wasn't the funnest thing on her mind.

When they reached her home, she frowned with eyebrows furrowing as she stared up at the window with him.
"We can try the front door, but..." She wanted to say, 'but, you might not be able to come.' If her parents came down, and Oliver was there, everything would be ruined.
Everything as in, ever having a chance to be with him again.
But, she didn't want to say that. She wanted him to be there.
"Why don't we try to sneak in through that back door." She said, pointing to the back yards sliding door. "Where the front door is, is closer to my parents room. But, this door might not be heard from up stairs, because its farther back. Worth a shot?"

"I'd say it's worth a shot," Oliver agreed with a smile. He started in that direction, placing one hand on the cool glass of the sliding door, gazing inside. Everything would look dark to Nikki; but he could see fairly well in the dark, able to make out the outlines of the furniture. "Coast is clear," he called in a loud whisper behind him before tugging on the door handle. 

It was locked.

He hadn't thought of that. "It's locked, Nikki..." he grumbled, giving her a long look. "You don't have a key on you either, do you?" he sighed.  

Feeling a bit more calm as he told her no one was around, Nikki grinned with satisfaction.
Isn't it irritating how things could change in milliseconds?
"What?" She exclaimed, not caring about her voice. She nudged him and tried the handle herself, again...again... again... and again.
And one more time, just to check.
"No!..." She grumbled, lips frowning. "To much is happening with one night! Twice I fall off of something so high I feel like I'm going to vomit. And, the second time, it completely kills my back!" She started, while still not caring about how loud her voice was. "And then, some random guy comes out of no where, scaring me half to death thinking he was hurting you while I was running away. And, now I'm locked out! And, throughout this whole mess, I've been freezing. My whole body is numb! You warned me to wear some better shoes, but I was being stupid," She said, with a relieved sigh at letting all of that out, and pressing her forehead against the door. "And I'm tired." She said in more of a whimper as she closed her eyes and knew that this tempertantrum was an answer to his question. Finally looking back at him, she replied,
"What am I going to do? Knock on the door and risk having to tell my parents everything?"
