All good. I have my holidays soon.
-Haley-
Haley glanced around herself nervously, teens of all ages watching their every moment. It almost felt like she was the prey, and they were predators. "You feel that?" Haley whispered, moving closer to Asher.
"Feel what?" he asked, grinning at people. Haley shook of the feeling, she was both. She was predator and prey. She adjusted her bag on her shoulder and trailed behind Asher, becoming nervous.
Her heartbeat increased and her breathing became quicker. Asher glanced at her, becoming nervous at her being nervous. He spun on his heel and Haley bumped into his tall, sturdy build. "Asher?" she asked, looking up at him.
"Haley, calm down. We're going to be fine." he said, smiling. Haley nodded before giving Asher a push. He grabbed her hand, hoping to calm her down. Haley looked around, watching girls frowning and glaring.
"Ashley, where we going?" Haley asked, grinning as his nickname. She gave his hand a squeeze when he didn't answer.
"Huh, what?" he asked, turning to glance at her. Haley repeated her question, "Oh, office." he said. "Hale." he smirked. Haley just rolled her eyes and followed him.
-Asher-
Moving past the classrooms, they arrived at the offices. Asher opened the door and went to the front door. "Yes?" the lady asked, not looking up. "Erm, we're new students." Asher said, leaning against the counter. She glanced up and smiled.
"Oh. Names?" she asked, clicking on the computer. "Asher Austin." he said. She typed his name before printing something on a piece of paper. "The girl?" she asked.
"Hale. I mean, Haley A-" Asher began. "Yeah, I got her." she said. Asher nodded and she printed some pieces of paper.
She got the papers and grabbed a pen. "This is your classes, the teachers and the room numbers." she said, circling. "Here's a map of the school." she said, handing them another piece of paper. "Fill in these quickly please." she said, passing them each a clipboard.
They sat down and scribbled everything down. "Sport is compulsory? Winter and summer?" Asher said, groaning. "Track and Cross Country." Haley said, ticking boxes.
Asher ticked the boxes and they gave the boards back. "Thanks. Here's your locker numbers, 69 and 70." she said, handing them a key." She passed a yellow note to each, "A late slip. You'll be excused." she said.
They thanked her and began walking away. "No PDA." The lady shouted. They turned around sharply.
"PDA?" Asher questioned, glancing at Haley. "Public Display of Affection." the lady said. Asher glanced at Haley's hand, which he was holding.
"But, we're siblings. We're twins." Haley said, getting angry. The lady just smiled and winked. Haley went storming towards her, Asher grabbed her by her waist.
"Remember what we talked about? Let's go." Asher said, Haley sighed. She turned around, grabbed his hand and led him out. Asher just chuckled as he was dragged behind her.
