Maksis's merely irritated tone turned into that of anger. "Excuse me, but I do remember the introductions at the beach. I'm sure if we asked Luke, he would know my name or at least recall it being mentioned." He snapped. Sasori looked at the three in confusion. Anger seemed to be rolling off of waves from Deomi and affecting the others. Sasori backed away slowly, until she could not feel any tension.

Maksis rubbed his eyes as they walked back. He felt calmer now and as irritated as before, but not angry. "Sasori, what just happened?" He asked. Sasori looked up, puzzled. "I do not know, young one." She said. "Ame! Something's wrong!" She said.

"That sounded very strange." She said and clutched the jacket closer. Shadow's words leaked into her thoughts and she sighed. Stupid know-it all wolf. She thought and felt Shadow twitch with amusement in his sleep. She pulled down her jeans and flung them on the rock to her right, but they missed and slid forward. "Crap!" She said and instinctively flung her hand out to catch it. She hadn't moved or touched the shorts, but they stopped sliding and were slowly being lifted into the air. Taylor's eyes had turned a bright sapphire and her markings glowed more, but faintly. "Holy..." She started, but lost concentration and the shorts flopped once more onto the rock. She looked up at Zane. "What the hell?"

Zane instinctively took a step back, looking at Taylor to the shorts then back again to Taylor. He chewed on his lip, trying to decide if what he saw had been real or not. Taylor's ex
pression told him it had. "Your eyes... and that mark... you... no, that's impossible!" he said, startled. "It had to be the wind... but that wouldn't explain..." Zane pinched the bridge of his nose and shut his mouth to stop his babbling. After a few moments he finally got his thoughts together. "Unless that's normal for you, Shadow's got some explaining to do." he said lamely.   

Doemi rolled her eyes, "Yep. At the beach. When i was, you know, kind of dazed and dizzy." her temper grew.

"Shadow was right! she did change!" Ame hissed quietly to Sasori, "he said something would be different!" She could feel her own anger starting to flare up, "Silence Deomi! Calm down! I want to test something!"

Deomi glared at Ame, but sighed, she forced her self to relax, "I'm sorry Maksis. I dont know what came over me. I usually dont have a temper." she apologized nervously and bit her lip. Her anger calmed down and she felt a curiousity wash over her, "what do you want to test Ame?" she asked.

Ame suddnely felt confused and slightly curious, "I just did test it. Your emotions, they are contagious."((XD I HAD TO!!!!!))

Maksis looked at her and noticed strange dark blue markings on Deomi. They were almost black, but in the starlight, glimmered a royal blue. They framed her face and made her look like an ancient warrior. That was about all his brain could process before he suddenly felt confused. "Sasori, what were we doing again?" Sasori looked at him. "Testing...something. And then patrolling the borders." She said and looked at Deomi. "You're right, Ame. Deomi, stop being confused." She said.

((she would have, like, a blue pattern of some sort, but like Ame's stripes are only visibly in the night, you can only see them in the moonlight, when she is anywhere else, she looks all black lol so when its any other light, you cant see them at all))

Deomi sighed, "jeeze, can I not feel any emotions then?" she teased lightly, her mood changing from confused to the more, happy, yet relaxed mood she was usually in. Ame relaxed immeadeately.

"It must be from when you healed her, obviously, but what I want to know, is, what power does Taylor have if Deomi can control emotions." Ame wondered out loud.

Deomi shrugged, "we will find out when she does, after all, my powers took a while before they really took effect. I think. Anyway, I didnt even know I had them." she said, "maybe I can learn to make you feel what I want you to feel. Not just how I feel." she said with a bright smile, "that would be so much fun."

Zane blinked, suddenly realizing the look he was giving Taylor. "Wait," he said, scrambling after her. He caught up to her and grabbed her shoulder. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to look so shocked... I mean, a lot's happened and I can't keep getting weirded out by every little thing... and I don't think bad of you, if that's what you're thinking. Shadow did this after all and well... I can go with you if you want." Zane said quickly, not realizing he was babbling.

Taylor looked down and did not say anything for a while. Her back was still to him. She watched as dust swirled around their feet and settled after Zane's haste had calmed. Without looking up she said, "I weirded you out...Maybe Shadow didn't do this to me. Maybe it was in me all along." She shrugged off his hand from her shoulder. "You can come if you want, though." She said, actually hoping he would come and then gained her courage.

She turned around and faced him, looking into his beautiful, knowing eyes. "I would appreciate it if you did come. It's just so frustrating because I've gotten those looks before. Before this whole Shipwreck happened. I was the weird one. Want to know why? Becuase I was myself. I gave my own opinion on things. I didn't like what everyone else liked. I talked about things other people didn't understand. Like looking inside of yourself and trying to find out who you truly are. Not relying on other people. Some people looked at me strangely if they saw someone in the street and said 'That guy looks creepy.' I would reply with something like. Well, you don't really understand that person so I wouldn't judge them. It's better to make friends, not enemies. When I talked about war and how I defended terrorists, they said I was stupid and defending the enemies. I don't believe in killing innocent people, but some people truly believe that that is their one ticket to heaven..." She stopped, realizing how much she had said and looked back down.

Good job, Taylor. Now, your going to scare him away, too.She thought to herself and at the thought, her stomach churned.

Zane stared at Taylor quietly, thinking over everything she had just said. He could tell she was nervous and he would have to actually think through his response. Hmm, Allen actually was right, he mused.  

Finally, he decided on something to say. "Taylor," he started quietly, "I know you're not a freak and I like you being yourself. A great person like you is so rare and you shouldn't try to change the way you think or are." he let out a small laugh. "In case you didn't notice, I'm not exactly normal and I'm sure Allen would tell you I'm the strangest guy you'll ever meet." he paused for a second and bit his lip, trying to think up what to say next. He couldn't think of anything so instead he wrapped his arms around her in an awkward hug. "And of course I'll go with you."

Taylor followed the worn and beaten paths back to Shadow's cave. Shadow. She said and he twitched in his sleep. SHADOW. He opened one silvery eye sleepily. What? He asked and Taylor walked into the cave. She looked up at him and opened her mouth to explain, but he silenced her. "Let me look for myself." He said and closed his eyes. Taylor felt his presence in her mind, waiting for her to show him the memory. She replayed all that had happened in her head and Shadow's voice was contented when he spoke again. "I knew that this would happen, but I had to do it. To save your life." He said, but he kept the and my life, too out of it.

Taylor nodded. "So, what does this mean?" She asked and he shrugged. "It means that you can control objects with your mind. I suggest you practice so you don't accidentally hurt someone if your angered." He said and went to lie back down. "That's it? Your going back to sleep?" She asked and he nodded. Despite her protests, he rested his head on his paws and fell back into a deep sleep.

Taylor looked up at Zane. "Well, that was completely pointless," She said, but already, she could think of practicing her powers. Using her newfound gift to her advantage and keeping others safe. Her hands began to tingle with anticipation and she looked up at Zane, the blue hue dull, but obviously there in her eyes. "I have to go practice," She said and then stopped. "Maybe you should stay here." That was all she wanted to say, but she realized she wanted to tell him the truth. "I'm only saying this because I don't want you to get hurt. What if I get out of control? This is just too new." She said and looked down, silently hoping he would look past her warnings and come with her, but her rational mind was telling her that Zane knew the dangers would be too great.

Zane paused for a moment when Taylor suggested he didn't come with her. It was true it was dangerous but then again he wasn't exactly someone who could take care of himself in a tough situation. After all, he experienced in combat and his body was in the best shape it could be. Unless Taylor threw a tree at him or flung him into a lake, he doubted she could seriously injure him. He clicked his tongue, finally coming to a decision. "I think I'll be alright. You just worry about yourself. So, if you want me with you, I'll come." he said. He glanced away from her, slightly nervous although he didn't see any reason to be.

(( Bai! I'm sorry but I can't get on tomorrow or sunday. I've got a grad party for one of my friends. So I'll be back on monday... >_> )) 

"Of course I want you to come," She said and grabbed hold of his chin as he glanced away from her. She smiled into his eyes. "I mean I really want you to come. I don't really trust myself and I didn't want you to get hurt." She flinched at the thought. "I like being around you, Zane. You make everything seem...normal. Even if we're stuck in our own personal hells." She said and smiled.

(( It was great! A storm hit about half-way through and we played basketball out in it! XD I can't remember the last time I was that wet. And that sucks. Hope you get out soon, cuz in case no one noticed... it's bloody summer time! lol )) 

"If this is a personal hell, then Vic's the devil." Zane joked dryly. He glanced down at Taylor's hand that was still holding his chin. It felt weird for her to be touching his face, but it wasn't unpleasant. "I won't get hurt, promise." he reas-sured. He gently grabbed her wrist and pulled her hand away from his face. His hand linger for a moment before he let go, giving her a small smile.

"Alright. I suggest we go down to the lake area," She said. "That has a big clearing and I don't think Lunar will want to go back there anytime soon," She explained. She looked down at her cut arm. She hadn't slept since yesterday, but since Shadow was sleeping, he was giving her energy. She nodded more to herself than to him. "Let's go," She said.
