(( Hai! It was only three days! Not a week >_> ))

Zane looked up at the deck of the ship nearest him. Aside from the giant gaping hole in it's hull, it was surprisingly intact. He could hear Allen's excited shouts from above deck and caught a glance of Yuri's tail. The pair must have found something. Although what, Zane didn't have the faintest clue. He shrugged. If it was important, he'd find out about it later. He really didn't feel like climbing up a boat at the moment. He pushed the sleeves of his jacket up and retrieved his knife from his jacket, not wanting to forget it. He slid it into the space between his belt and jeans, making a mental note to make a sheith for it first chance he got, before walking off.

After a few minutes of walking he stopped dead, looking around for Taylor. He wondered if she had been as fortunate as him in finding clothes. Even if the weather was comfortably warm, she could still catch a cold from wearing wet clothes. He cupped his hands over his mouth. "Hey, Taylor!" he called out, "Where are you?" He scratched the back of his head nervously, feeling like an idiot. He didn't even know if Taylor was around this area. He could very well just be yelling to thin air. 

She started to shiver and Shadow eyed her carefully. "Maybe you should lay off the tank tops for a while. Until you lose the cold," He said and Taylor grabbed a sea green sweatshirt she had found before. It went nicely with her gray tank and jeans. She shivered again, but she was starting to warm up. "Am I free to go now?" Taylor asked and Shadow chuckled. He pointed his nose to the L.L Bean backpack they had found. Taylor had filled all of her finds with it and she now slung it over Shadow's back. "Go explore. You may find something useful." Shadow said and Taylor left the covering of rocks.

She kicked at the sand and stopped in front of one of the shipwrecks. Surprisingly, the ship hadn't been totally destroyed. The only thing wrong with it was a hole in the hull. She touched a finger lightly to the side of the wood. It was an old ship, made of wood and not the metal used nowadays. She figured it must have been a pirate ship. She looked up from the wood and heard Zane calling for her. "I'm over here!" She shouted and walked out from behind the ship. Her bare feet slipped into the sand and she found herself more comfortable that way.

Zane spun around to face her, smiling slightly at the sight of her. "How did Shadow manage to find such well-fitting clothes for you?" he asked, impressed, "All Vic found was clothing two sizes too big--" Vic's head popped out from behind a rock. "Hey! I did the best I could!" He hissed. He could tell Zane wasn't really complaining but the snake still didn't like him talking about how he couldn't find things as accurately as Shadow. "Here you forgot this!" The Spirit hurled the duffel bag right at Zane, expecting him to catch it. However, Zane didn't have enough warning and it hit him right in the head. It wasn't hard enough to hurt, but it still made him stagger slightly. "Opps..." Vic said, "Well, see ya!" He slithered off before Zane could turn on him. Zane rubbed the side of his head. "Stupid bird-food," he muttered. He was about to say more but Allen's excited shouts interrupted him. 

"Hey! Guys! GUYS!" Allen shouted, leaning over the railing of the wooden ship. "You've gotta come check this out!" He looked very excited and was leaning far enough over the railing to look like he was about to fall over-board. However, he stayed balanced as he waved to get their attention. 

Taylor looked down at herself and realized the clothes did fit her well. The jacket hung loosely, but she liked the way it fit her. "Vic did the best he could," Taylor said, a smile tugging at her lips as he tossed the bag at Zane. Allen's call sounded above them and Taylor looked up. Allen was basically hanging off the side of the ship as he waved them down. "Allen, you're going to fall." Taylor said and rolled her eyes. "We'll be up in a second." She said and then thought of something important. "Um Allen. How do we get up there?" She asked.

[[sorry for the short and fail post...My sister is spazzing. She keeps laughing and won't stop and she's on the floor, rolling around, and it's scary.]]

And wooow... maybe you should call an ambulance...? That sounds scary... ))

Allen paused for a second. Yuri had jumped him up from some nearby rocks but Taylor and Zane wouldn't be able to do that... "Ok, hold on one second," he replied. Dashing off from sight and reappearing a moment later with a long coil of rope. He tied one end to the railing, testing it's strength by pulling on it, before tossing over the edge. It reached the ground easily. even leaving some extra length coiled on the ground. "Climb up that!" he shouted, his voice sounding ready to burst with enthusiasm. 

Zane rolled his eyes, giving Taylor an amused look before gesturing for her to climb up first. That way, if she fell or the rope snapped, he could catch her. 

Taylor looked up at the rope with unease. The ship was probably really old and she didn't trust the railing to be able to hold her. She sighed and realized she would just land on sand if she fell. Either that or Zane would catch her. The first thing that came to her mind when she grabbed the rope was. Wow, I'm glad I'm not wearing a skirt. She shook the thought away and grasped the rope in her hands. She clapsed her feet under her and inched toward the top.

The railing creaked a little, but it was more sturdy than it looked. She reached the top and pulled herself over the railing, flashing a smile down at Zane. "Your turn and don't worry. I'll catch you if you fall," She said, her eyes twinkling. She lifted up her hands, being seroius that she would catch him or at least hold him up.

Zane rolled his eyes again, letting out a small chuckle. At least she had made it up alright. It would have been awkward catching her. Grabbing onto the rope, he climbed up the rope in much of the same style Taylor did, occasionally shifting his feet so he would use the ship's hull for support. Occasionally, the railing creaked and he was worried it would break under his weight, but it held steady the entire time. When he finally reached the top, he grabbed onto the railing for support and jumped over it. His boots landed on the wood deck with 'thunk.'

During both their climbs, Allen could hardly contain himself. He tapped his foot against the deck as he waited to show them what he had found. Zane hadn't been on the deck for more than two seconds before Allen grabbed him by the shirt collar and half-dragged him up to the area that had the steering wheel (forgot what it's called o_o) to show them what he had found.

A pirate's flag was laid out on the deck. Several swords were clustered on it as well as some pieces of gold and several pieces of jewelery. Allen tossed a necklace to Zane and he quickly pocketed it before Taylor could get a good look at it, raising an eyebrow as he understood Allen's silent message. Allen smirked at the two of them. "Pretty awesome, huh? I claim the flag!"

Taylor took her time getting to the helm. She examined the timbers of the ship. She was surprised that the wood hadn't rotted all this time. A few flags that must have been for the masts were on the ground. She kneeled down and rubbed her hand along them, almost thinking they would crumble under her touch. They felt soft, like silk. She stood and brushed her hands off before climbing up to the helm. She saw Allen toss something to Zane, but couldn't catch what it was. Swords were clustered around a pirate's flag on the deck.

She suddenly remembered her find with Shadow. "Oh guys. Take a look at this," She said and pulled out the dagger from the sheath she had found. "Shadow and I found this while we were scavenging. He says it is not something from the shipwrecks or the human world. He said it was made up of imagination and probably came with the birth of this place," She said, twisting the dagger in her hands. The blue, sapphire markings shimmered in the sunlight.

Both Allen and Zane looked at the dagger. It certainly looked like something non-human.
"Hey!" Allen said, "Maybe it's like one of those special keys or the only thing that can kill those mutants! Like on the TV shows." He looked at Zane curiously.
Zane shook his head. "If it is we're in big trouble." he replied. "Only one dagger to face down three mutants is not a good thing. Hopefully these swords will do the same--" 
He was cut off by Yuri, who had just burst through one of the doors rolling a barrel. "Hey," he cheetah purred, "there's a bunch a barrels of rum below deck. Allen come see!" 
Allen tried to speed off but his jacket collar was caught by an annoyed looking Zane. "Just because we're on a non-human island does not mean I'm going to let you be drinking, Allen," Zane said gruffly, "Besides, that stuff's probably centuries old. One drop could kill you." He didn't know much about alcohol but that didn't keep him from glaring at Allen, who was now muttering in an annoyed manner under his breath.

Taylor stifled a giggle, but she smiled. Wasn't Yuri supposed to be protecting Allen from harm? Not making him drunk in a dangerous forest. She looked back at the dagger and couldn't help the nagging suspicion that this was somehow tied to Shadow. "Zane. Shadow said this dagger was made from the imagination of others in the human world, but...Doesn't this dagger resemble Shadow?" She asked.

[[ugh. now i need to eat dinner from the food from the market XD]]

Zane turned his attention back to Taylor, still not releasing Allen's jacket from his death-hold. He stared at the dagger a while longer. "You're right." he said thoughtfully, "both the coloration and the markings are similar." He frowned. "I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this dagger was somehow created by you, provided that everything up until now is actual fact." He didn't really like the idea. It seemed like this island was tearing up all the logic he'd come to believe and tossed it into the ocean to be swept away.

Taylor looked down at the weapon again. "But I haven't thought of weapons at all..." She broke off and she grasped the dagger and took an offensive stance. Her father had taught her self-defense with some of the weapons he had stored in his basement from back when he was in the Army. She flipped the dagger from its downward position into an offensive and took her usual stance. The dagger felt weightless in that hold. It was almost like an extention of her arm.

She stood straight again. "I did think of finding weapons. When Lunar attacked, I knew I needed something to defend myself with. Daggers are my favorite weapon." She said and sheathed it. "I still doubt the fact that only this dagger can kill the mutants. We'll have to ask Shadow when we get back to camp," She said.

Zane took a step back from Taylor when she took an offensive stance, releasing Allen, but there was an amused look on his face. It seemed like he wasn't the only one who had combat training. It was a comforting thought. "Well looks like your imagination did create it then." he sighed. "This place is both a scientists dream and demise." He leaned back against the railing, looking up at the sky. 

Allen went back down to where Yuri was still inspecting the barrel of rum. "You think it's drinkable?" he asked.

Yuri shrugged. "Dunno. How you want to test it?" Allen shrugged and well and they both sat back to back, trying to think of ideas. 

Taylor shot Allen a look. "Why don't you just dump it in the Mutant's drinking source. See if they drop dead and then you'll know if its safe or not," She joked. The dagger did seem weightless on her hip. She had noticed Zane being amused at her stance. "Why the look?" She asked him. "And Allen's not seriously thinking about drinking that, is he?" She asked, shooting a worried glance at the fifteen year old.

"That is a brilliant idea!" Allen said, "Come on, Yuri, let's see if Shadow knows where the mutants drink from!" Leaving the barrel, Allen crawled onto Yuri's back and the cheetah jumped over-board, landing on a rock before jumping back down on the sand and dashing off to find Shadow. 

Zane sighed. Allen couldn't tell the difference between a joke and a suggestion if the idea sounded fun enough. "The look is because you amuse me and I'm sure Allen really does intend to try at least." He scratched the back of his head nervously. His brother had always been curious and ever since that Thanksgiving when Zane had gotten drunk by accident Allen had wanted to know what drinking was like. It drove Zane insane sometimes.
