Zane watched Taylor and Shadow silently, his emotions and even his eyes unreadable with that cold, calm ex
pression that was just so Zane. He stayed quiet, standing alert with a trained patience until Taylor finally spoke to him. He blinked in surprise, repeating what she had said several times in his head just to make sure he understood. His first response was to ask questions, but he kept his jaws clamped shut. There'd be time for questions later if they weren't already answered. 

After a moment, he just nodded and took hold of her hand, giving her a calm look. 

[[ If you ever get the chance to watch it, you have to XD ]]

Shadow cleared his throat softly though the sound he made seemed more like a growl. He shook his head slightly and Taylor gave him an encouraging look. He glanced among the circle around him. "Spirits and Bonds, I fear the time has come when Lunar will strike again. I know that my brethren here remember that night of the Lunar Eclipse where our powers grew weak. At that time, Lunar had taken advantage of that night and had struck. I fear that tomorrow night is the Lunar Eclipse. We must prepare for an attack. If you will stand and fight, then may your claws stay sharp and your will stay strong. If you wish to step down, I shall hold nothing against you. I am not going to lie. You may lose your life in this battle and I ask no one to risk their lives if they do not want to." He said throughout the group, his voice booming with power and an unbelievable calmness.

All sense of the frail Shadow from the vision and the walk through the forest had dissappeared. She realized now that she would fight by Shadow no matter what. She knew from Shadow's calm gaze that the others would fight for him, too. "I will be proud to stand by your sides and fight against the evil that taints this island." Taylor said, speaking to all of the Spirit Animals. Maksis echoed her words and she had a strong sense of dread course through her body. She pushed the puzzling emotion away.

Allen listened to Shadow's words, watching as Taylor and Maksis spoke up before glancing at Zane. His brother was listening closely, his arms crossed over his chest and a distant and calm ex
pression on his face. Allen had no doubt that Zane would fight. The older male was fitter and stronger than most humans and a fast thinker. He was probably nervous in his own way, but he'd never show it. If he worked together with Vic, he could possibly take down one of the mutants himself.

Yuri's tail touching his shoulder jolted him back to attention and he looked at the cheetah, their worry mixing together. They were both worried about themselves, each other, and the rest of the group. This fight would be difficult and Allen was tempted to stay back like he knew Zane would want him to, but he didn't want to appear weak, especially since he was younger. He walked up beside Maksis, standing close to him and seeking comfort. At a time like this, Zane wouldn't comfort him and might even yell at him for what he was about to do.

"I'll fight too..." he said carefully, looking down at Yuri for a moment before looking up and speaking just a bit more confidently, although it was only a little. "We both will." He tired to ignore the glare from Zane that was practically burning into the back of his neck. There was no doubt now that Zane would yell at him later, but this time he wouldn't back down. He was always relying on his brother for help. This time he wanted to stand on his own two feet.

((Didn't feel like roleplaying as Zane xD I think it's more effective from just Allen's point of view. :3)) 

[[*squeals* ]]

Maksis watched as Taylor declare her part of the fight in this war. He would never let her go to battle on her own and he found himself echoing her words. The camp grew silent until Allen spoke up, declaring he was going to fight, also. Maksis kept his composure, but couldn't help but feel a cloud of worry from falling over his mind. When Allen drew closer to him, he placed his hand around the boy's shoulder. "We'll protect them both." He said, not moving his eyes off of Taylor's.

Taylor couldn't help but glance down at the puckered line on her arm where Lunar's claw had sliced against her flesh. Thoughts of fighting against those lethal claws sent shivers up her spine. She pulled her gaze back up and found Maksis watching her. Again, that strange sense of foreboding coursed through her, but again, she ignored it. Shadow dipped his head at the bonds, pride and a grim happiness came from him. He stood up and shook his black fur out, dust flying in the air. "Tomorrow we shall fight and take back our land. Tomorrow, we'll show Lunar not to misjudge the power of a strong bond and the power to love one another." He said, fanning his wings out.

"Spirits, if you would please leave your bonds to practice battle moves and come with me to come up with a battle strategy. Bonds, sharpen your skills, regain your strength, and brace yourself for a bloody fight." He said solemnly before settling his black wings against his back and turning around to trot up the craggy rocks to his den.

((Lol, he's not corny. xD And I thought of a good way to keep Maksis in the roleplay and add a little drama to the situation. ;3))

When Maksis put his arm around him, Allen found himself leaning against the older male, seeking comfort from both him and Yuri, who was pressing against his other side. It was funny how the simple action of choosing to fight had distanced him from his real brother and bringing him closer male who was quickly becoming like a brother to him. They both seemed to share the same goals: to prove themselves and protect their loved ones.

He couldn't help but steal a glance at Zane and quickly turned away again. His brother was no longer looking at him, and for some reason that worried him more. 

Yuri glanced at Allen, feeling his spike in anxiety. At least Maksis would be there for him while they were planning. He padded after Shadow, his tail lingering for a second over his bond's hip fore a moment before he went after Shadow, Vic following closely behind him.

Maksis squeezed Allen's shoulder as he leaned against him. The young boy was growing on him and in a sense, Maksis looked up to him. Allen had been there for him when he needed someone there the most. He would do everything he could to protect him from the Mutants. "Allen, have you and Zane ever had any type of fighting instructions?" He asked, looking down at the boy.

Taylor released Zane's hand and pulled out her black dagger. She let it roll between her two hands as she thought of the damage this weapon would soon cause. She held the weapon flat in her palm and pushed on the dagger with her mind. It lifted off of her hand and was held suspended in the air for a moment before she flipped it around. She found that there was just a minor drain on her energy and as she held it closer to her, it was as if she was using the same energy to lift it with her hand. This means that the farther away I am from my target, the more energy it will use. Satisfied, she allowed the dagger to drop from the air. She caught it at the hilt as it slid past her outstretched fingers.

"Shall we train?" She asked Zane as she brushed the dirt off of her shorts. She glanced up and saw that Maksis had a comforting arm around Allen. She smiled at catching the sight of her brother's face. He looked so grim before and his care-free smile had returned.

((Nothing's wrong now, thankfully. ^^; Just relationship troubles at the time. >_<;))

((And my idea is to make Allen's power (like how Taylor has telekinesis, I forget exactly how it works xD;) the ability to see things like ghosts, and have Maksis' spirit be trapped on the island. Like, some property on the island is making Maks unable to pa.ss on. ^^; Kinda lame, but it might be fun because it would add a lot more drama to his death. :P))

Allen nodded slightly. "Zane has. He's gone through a bunch of combat and survival training." He said, smiling up at Maksis. "He could probably give a mutant a run for his money." When he thought about his own experience, however, he frowned slightly and lowered his gaze, a pink tint rising to his cheeks. "I don't know anything though..." he said, clearly sounding ashamed and embarra.ssed. Zane had always been there for him, protecting him. Up until now, there'd been no reason for him to learn how to fight.

Zane watched Taylor as she levitated the knife, his ex
pression unreadable. He got like this a lot when he was thinking. He would continue to react with the outside world, but he'd be locked within his own mind. 

It took him nearly a minute to realize she was talking to him. He jolted slightly, the distant look in his dark eyes fading slightly. "What? ...oh, yeah sure." he answered absentmindedly, not seeming as if he was totally paying attention. 

[[ Sorry I Poofed. I was watching Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind with my sis. I love having old memories so I don't blame you for being distracted XD So Allen's power would be kinda like Necromacy? ^.^ and that'd be awesome ]]

She stuck the small dagger in its sheath and squatted down in front of Zane so they were eye level. He didn't seem to be paying much attention to what was going on and instead, had lost himself in thought. "Hey, you okay?" She asked him.

Maksis gave Allen a small smile, though hid his worry. This would cause some dillema seeing as the fight would start tomorrow if it went as planned. He hid his emotions well, having done so for Taylor for many years. "Don't worry about it. Half of what I teach you probably won't be necessary. When Taylor's weaponless, she doesn't use planned punches or kicks. She screams, claws, and tackles the person. It's pretty scary, actually." He said. "I'm not too good myself, but I can teach you what I know."

((Lol, kinda. But some of them were sad. =( 
And kinda, except he can't control them, only interact with them. ^.^
Ugh... love is crap. >.> Don't ask. I just felt like saying it to someone who wouldn't break down over me saying it.))

Zane jolted again, frowning slightly when Taylor spoke to him again. He raised a hand to the dogtags hanging around his neck, running his thumb over the cool metal and looking off. "Not... really." he answered, his voice sounding a bit thick. He looked up at Taylor then glanced at Allen before looking away again, hoping she'd understand. He really didn't like being open about his emotions, especially his doubt. He was furious with Allen for just choosing to fight like that. Apparently his brother still hadn't figured out that they were in such a serious situation.

Allen tried to resist a smile but it showed on his face anyways, the young male letting out a small chuckle at the mental image Maksis gave him. The way she was described, Taylor sounded like she could be the Tasmanian Devil. He looked up at the older male, showing him his smile. "Alright." he said, looking a bit excited at the thought of learning how to fight. It was kinda sad though. Maksis really did seem like a great guy, despite the age difference. It would have been great if they'd met under different circumstances. 

[ Pfft, don't I know it. Yeah, that's why I said kinda. That'd be awesome ^.^]]

Taylor followed Zane's quick glance to find Allen and Maksis talking. She sat down next to Zane again and ran her fingers delicately through her hair. She realized what Zane must be feeling right now to have his younger brother about to enter a war. She bumped his shoulder lightly with her own. "Don't worry about him. We have the Spirits with us and Maks and I will fight to the death to protect him. Allen's as much a brother to me as Maks is. We'll take care of him, kay?" The words spilled out of her mouth and she grimaced as she said them.

Maksis found himself grinning as Allen did, a vision of Taylor fighting tooth and nail against Lunar. He let out a small sigh that ended in a chuckle before stepping back from Allen. "Most of what I learned was self-defense against humans so we'll have to rearrange the moves a bit. When throwing a punch, keep your hands tucked in close to your chest and have your palms facing up. Close your fist and when you go to punch straight, rotate your hand and flip it so your palm would face down.

[[I don't know how to fight so....XD Anyway, I g2g. YOu need to come on earlier lol. I go to bed around this time. ]]

((Meh, I am slow. =/ And what are we gonna do when the revamp the forums and everything gets deleted? D: I suppose I should start achieving this and everything else. One more thing on the mountain of crap that I already have to do... -_-;))

Zane nodded slightly, still looking unconvinced. Nothing would probably make him feel better about the situation. It was just starting to hit him that they were really going to war. Sure, the first battle had hit him hard, but here they were really planning to fight and take out the mutants. He sighed and bit down on his bottom lip before carefully pulling Taylor into a hug. It was odd, the last time he'd actually hugged someone for comfort to himself was back when he'd been a little kid, but something about Taylor just made him feel... better.

Allen listened intently to what Maksis said, running over the words a few times in his head before acting out what he'd been told, starting with hand tucked in and his palm up before punching straight out at the air and rotating his hand. He held the stance for a second before relaxing and looking back at Maksis for approval.

"Uhm, do you think we should spar, or something?" he asked, curiously. For a moment, he glanced back at Shadow's den, wondering what they were planning. It seemed odd that they weren't practicing fighting with their bonds. Allen would have thought that he, Maksis, Yuri, and Sasori would be fighting as a team, so... shouldn't they be learning how to fight as a team? Hesitantly, he tried to connect his mind to Yuri's and found it blocked off with a force as strong as an iron wall. He drew back quickly with a small gasp, looking even more worried than before. Yuri wasn't the type to block him off... not at all.

((What are the spirits doing anyways? xD)) 

Taylor felt her eyes widen as Zane pulled her into a small hug, as it was unexpected. She let out a small sigh and held him tight before releasing him. "There's nothing we can do about it so let's prepare. We can do this." She said, clenching her fist tightly. The muscles on her arm burned as she flexed them, but she knew the wound would not bother her in the heat of the battle.

Maksis settled his stance and tilted his head slightly as he thought. "Did you happen to find a weapon at any of the Shipwrecks? I didn't." He said, the tips of his ears reddening. He glanced over at Taylor and Zane and found them hugging. He gave  low whistle which Taylor responded to instantly with a flick of her head. She had always responded that way to him when he whistled and he responded the same when she whistled. "Hey, did you guys happen to pick up any weapons at the Shipwrecks?" He asked.

Taylor slid her hand down her left thigh and pulled a slick black dagger with the same blue markings identical to that of Shadow's. When she was sure he saw it, she slipped the dagger back into her belt.

Shadow flicked his tail as he settled down on the floor of the cave. He blocked his mind off to Taylor with slight hesitation. He glanced around at the other Spirits. We should devise a plan of action for the Mutants. Who will take on who and how we should train the Bonds. He said to everyone, nodding at his own thoughts.
