Zane watched the two girls quietly from the sideline, not at all caring that a Deomi had practically stripped right in front of him. He shifted his gaze to stare at the life below the water but quickly looked back at the forest when he felt a wave of nausea from the thought of drowning. He frowned when he realized his clothes were only adding to the chances of drowning and debated on just getting out or not.

Crux shrugged. "More powerful or not, humans are still humans. The bond only makes the Spirits easier to kill. Kill the human, the Spirit goes down with it." 

Lunar swiveled back around the two. "Would you idiots shut up!" She snapped, knocking them both on the side of the head. "Get this. We kill the humans before they kill us." She said, her red eyes glinting dangerously. Her body shifted as her spinal structure changed itself. Soon, she was on all four paws and loping down the edge of the beach, following the human's scent.

Taylor watched as Zane slid into the water and held onto the edge of the small pool. She raised her eyebrows and paddled over to him. Hesitantly, she grabbed the edge of the pool, the solid earth steady underneath her hands and heaved herself up to the edge. "Can't swim?" She asked him, though already knowing the answer by his hesitation and his slow movements. She felt so alive and free when she was swimming. When she was little, she used to wish she had gills. She chuckled to herself at the thought. Of course, her first choice for a power would have been telekenesis and her second would have been flight. But now she had Shadow.

She sighed again and looked at Zane before sliding back into the water. She placed her hand on top of his. "I'll teach you." She whispered and flung herself backward. Water splashed around them as she righted herself and buoyed herself by paddling. "LIke this." She said and demonstrated with her feet and her hands before swimming back to Deomi.

"When I was underwater, I let my mind go black. When it was silent, I was Shadow. I mean...I was looking through Shadow's eyes. It was really weird." She said.

((*is offended* hey, Taylor dated Luke in the last rp we did together. With awl the powered kids...jkjk. i guess i could make some girl magically appear on the island if you really wanted lol.))

((but Zane has Taylor and Deomi is Lukes sister XD))

Dagger shrugged, "but the spirit gains power from the human. And the humans can have talent. Some are actually difficult to kill. Besides, if you have a spirit that has bonded with a human, the spirits rarely let the humans out of their sight." he pointed out.

Ame watched Deomi like a mother Tigeress watches her cubs. She purred contentedly, as long as Deomi was safe and happy, Ame was happy. One of her tails flicked lazily at a bug and she yawned.

Deomi smiled, "what are you afraid of?" she asked Zane.

He doesnt seem to like the water. Ame's voice purred in her head, not that I blame him. Who likes getting all wet? she chuckled. I love water. Deomi thought back, its so soothing. Especially when its hot out. she told her spirit. Well, it does help you to cool down. Ame answered.

Crux growled as Lunar hit him but didn't retaliate. He knew his place. He watched her go for a moment before shifting his bone structure back to the way it had been and dashed after her.

Zane felt his face heat up at how easily Taylor had figured him out. He watched her demonstration before slowly pushing off of the bank. His head went under almost immediately and he struggled to get his head back above and remain calm. After a few seconds, he managed to get back up above the surface. He coughed up some water and shook his wet hair out of his face. Gasping, he retreated back to the bank, gripping onto the side for dear life. Taylor would have to grab him by the feet and drag him before he would let go again. 

"I'm afraid of the water, obviously," he said to Deomi. His voice was slightly higher than normal. 

Ame flicked her ears, what was that? She sniffed the air and wrinkled her nose. Deomi. I dont like this. Please get out of the water. She pleaded in her head. But why? Came the reply. Just do it. Ame hissed sharply. She rose to her feet and her fur stood on end. She bared her teeth, "all of you. Out. This isnt safe. It doesnt feel right." the tigress hissed, lashing her tails.

Deomi climbed out of the water and grabbed her clothes, "do you hear something?" she asked. Her spirit shook her head.

"Thats the thing. I don't trust the silence. Not after Dagger and Lunar became the leaders of the Mutants. Those two are never up to any good." She hissed. She scanned the trees around her, but saw nothing. She would send the humans back to camp, but that could be a trap. Her muscles quivered anxiously. Show yourselves. She thought to herself. If you're brave enough to hun us, attack. Let's see what happens.

Dagger crouched silently beside Lunar, watching the humans intently((XD Dagger fails ))

Zane frowned. "It wasn't my doing. My parents and Allen planned it as a surprise." He felt a bit of guilt pull at him. The only reason his family had gone on the cruise was that they had wanted to celebrate Zane getting into college. 

He quietly followed her over to shallow area, not daring to let go of the edge until he could place his feet firmly on the ground. He shivered slightly as his shirt stuck to his chest above the water's surface. 

He nearly jumped out of his skin at Ame's shout. He climbed out of the water, shivering as the cold air made his cloths feel like ice. "What's going on?" He whispered, retrieving his jacket and shoes and putting them on.

Crux lurked a little ways behind Lunar and Dagger, eyes flashing with the excitement of blood. 

"Crux, Dagger, take out Ame." She whispered silently to them. "I'll get Ame's human if you two fail. That will be my first priority." She said and watched as Ame scanned the trees. When her gaze slid past their hiding place, Lunar burst from the treetops, claws extended and lunged at Deomi.

Taylor quickly got out of the water, pulling Zane out with her. Being soaking wet, her clothes were dragging her down. When Lunar burst from the tree-tops, Taylor watched, paralyzed, as she lunged at Deomi. Everything seemed to be in slow-motion as Taylor ran toward the white wolf and screamed "Nooo!" Then everything happened too fast for her to comprehend. Lunar's gaze shifted from Deomi's to Taylor's and she snarled. Her paw flashed quickly before she turned back to Deomi. Pain registered only after taylor looked down at the open wound that started at her shouldertip and ended and the palm of her hand. Her arm was covered with slick red blood and Taylor shut her eyes tightly, gritting her teeth against the pain.

Shadow's fore-leg burst into a fiery pain and he was awoken from his sleep. "Taylor!" He screamed. Sasori was up in an instant. "Go to them." Shadow panted and bolted out of the cave. "Yuri, Vic! The humans. They are in trouble. Follow me!" He growled before charging off into the forest.

Deomi screamed in terror as the white wolf came at her. A large black blur smashed into the wolf's side. Ame. Another black shape, Dagger, sped from the trees, towared Ame. Deomi scrambled for the trees.

Ame roared viciously, "stay away from her Lunar!" her usualy gentle voice was laced wtih fury and contempt, "Or i will rip your throat out!"

"I'd like to see you try." Dagger replied with a laugh. He faced the tiger, and leapt at her wtih snapping jaws. The closed on her forleg and Ame hissed in pain.

Lunar hissed in fury as Ame snarled at her. She watched as Dagger grasped Ame's foreleg, immobilizing her. Her movements were fast. She stood on her hind legs and grabbed Deomi by her neck, lifting her up high. "We are going to take this human now, Ame. There is nothing you can do!" She hissed.

Shadow sped down the slope, feeling Taylor's thoughts flying at him like daggers. despair, sadness, pain, hopelessness. He shook his head and willed himself to go on.

"Taylor!" Zane shouted. He pulled the knife out of his jacket and ran over to Taylor. He lashed out at Taylor's attacker with his knife. He doubted it would do much good but he had to do something. Vic! he screamed in his mind. That stupid spirit better show up or he'd strangle him.

Crux rushed out of the bushes. He lunged at Ame claws outstretched. He would end this quickly. 

Lunar's blood-curdling laugh filled the forest. "Good-bye Ame." She screeched before she ran off into the forest again, having heard Shadow's approach with the other spirits. "Come Crux, Dagger." She yelled and continued her hateful laugh.

Taylor looked up at Zane. Her eyes were filled with confusion and a dark red pool had formed at her feet. She sagged into his arms. "W...What?" She asked before she collapsed against him.
