Story Yellowstone. One of the world's most famous national parks, it houses a treacherous semi-dromant volcano prepared to implode at any given moment, thousands of animals that would be otherwise lost without the "stability" and retained wilderness that Yellowstone boasts, and is constantly ravaged by the immense changes of the seasons, from the fearsome winters to the flourishing summers. Our story is based on the survival of a band of wolves, brought together by the instinct to commune and thrive with a family. But it has been intended to remain slightly different to the other roleplays out there.
Laws
- English dialogue is a thing for human beings - and of the past. Since wolves have not been proven to be abe to possess the human ability to communicate, their language as it would be in the wild, in reality, will be the way it is spoken here. No "true" talking is allowed. Communication will be narrowed down to the official way of the "coversing" wolf, and that means no gossipping, no fiery retorts, and no storytelling. "Talking" will be reduced to physical expressions and naturally-vocal noises.
- No godmoding, powerplaying, ect. You know the rules. This is a realistic roleplay, based on reality. So, Fluffy can't have an unnatural violet sheen on her jet-black fur that can only be seen every green moon, and Sheldon can't kill a bear with one bl
ink. Plus, be nice everyone. No arguing, please. Let's leave the fighting to the wolves. - Literacy is a must. Be as specific as you can in your posts, and don't try and make them too short if you can help it.
- Wolves aren't the only animals in Yellowstone. So long as you have at least one wolf character, you'll be granted another non-canine - or canine, if you like, it's no problem - character, such as a bald eagle, a grizzly bear, or just a bison who, remarkably, survives all the hunts. x3 These won't be as major as your wolf characters, but they can appear every now and then, like during a carcas-s-ownership squabble, and such. You're welcome to have any animal as you like, so long as it has a natural possiblity of appearing in Yellowstone. So, sorry all - no lions, no tigers, no gerenuks, no honey badgers. Let's leave the hijacking penguins to Madagascar, shall we? But, of course, you don't have to have a non-canine character, if that's what you prefer. ^^And, to keep things simple, no more than three wolves per person. Additional animals are still allowed, but a trio of the doggies is a maximum number.
- To prove you've read this, post the second-last animal I named that, as an example, couldn't join in - your favourite colour, or a colour that you fancy. x3
Biographies Name: Much like Meerkat Manor, there's no strict name theme. You can have anything for a name, stuff varying from something English and Shakespearian to something more local and Native Amercian-based. Keep things creative, and be unpredictable - but clean! Species: Yes, yes. Mainly wolf, but foxes, bison, birds, lynx, cougars, and anything likely to appear in Yellowstone is allowed. It's a big place - we'll need rivals and threats here and there. (If a social animal,) Rank: It goes from Alpha (the bosses), to Beta (the second-in-commands), to Omega (the ones right at the bottom), in wolf culture. Of course, there are in-betweeners. I just haven't learned the proper terms yet. xD Some people could be a little confused with this part. When I mean "social" animal, technically, I mean the wolves, rather than the other animals in Yellowstone. xD Since they're the only social - "team-faring", in other words - predators in Yellowstone, fox families not included, the Ranking system only belongs to them. :3 Gender: Male or female, silly.
Age: To keep things simple, you'll put it down in approx. human years. :3 Again, variation please, people.
Appearance: Deions are allowed, but if it's a photo you didn't take yourself, please state so. :3 A photograph is a frozen memory - somebody else's precious moment. And when it comes to illustrations... if you didn't do it, don't use it here. Other: Anything not appropriate for the past categories. :3

I used to love gerenuks. :3 Eh, well, in reality, the Alpha female keeps check that she'll be the only pregnant wolf in the pack. I don't know what happens if another she-wolf gets preggers, but... I'm not sure. >3> Well, I was intending to, since this is gonna be based on a real-life wolf pack I was learning about on a DVD, the Pack starts off with about... two alphas, and two of their offpsring. More wolves are allowed to join, but it won't be particularly simple. Yellowstone belongs to Youssarian and Espocca - if there are foreign wolves likely to threaten their claim over the land, they'll react like wild wolves would. So, you could join as a wolf that already belongs in their family, or a rogue wolf trying to get a place in the pack. There's no real plot in this, it's hopefully going to be full of twists and turns. But is Espocca goes hormonally crazy, then she might chase off any other pregnant she-wolves she doesn't like the look of. xDD Plus I was hoping for the Pack to remain relitavely small - since they're all going to be related in some ways, breeding possibilities will only be available to the Alphas, by their dominant rights.

Oh, no - I don't mean that young. xD The "pups" in the DVD were actually quite sizey, for year-olds. But you can make them as old as you want, it's really no problem. :3 So long as their ages fit reasonably well with their parents' mid-thirties. xD |
