  Sureya smiled as she typed the final period. It's done! 400 pages of manu... She had been writing the story for years, building a world torn by war and magic. It was primitive, mideval, but beautiful, both the land and the people. She gave a happy giggle as she grabbed up her phone to make a quick call. "Hey, Jake? Yeah, can you come over now? I have something to show you!" she squeaked excitedly into the phone.

   Block... Parry... Riposte... The mechanics of the sword play had become child's play to him, after the war. He used the fluid dance as an outlet for when things were too overwhelming. The Wizzard's War had stripped everything from the land, including the spirit of it's knights. Levi sighed as he stepped to the edge of the field and looked out over the devestation. Sure, the prince and his peasent princess had found a happy ending, but he couldn't help but think about the people who had lost everything, just because some spoiled brat of a prince decided he couldn't live without some little peasent. He shook his head and turned back to his broadsword. He really hated the Creator, sometimes...

Jake yawned, looking at the clock as he rubbed his eyes. The phone was ringing and the caller ID was of that of his best friend. "Hey, do you have any idea what time it is?" He mumbled, sitting up on the couch. After listening to his friend practically scream into the phone, he nodded. "Ya, alright. Give me twenty minutes." He said, hitting the 'end call' button and setting the phone down. He hopped into the shower for about five minutes and got dressed. Stuffing an apple in his pocket, Jake set out the door and was driving down the road to Sureya's house. He pulled up in her driveway and slammed his car door shut. Without even knocking, ake opened the door and strolled in. "Somebody had better be dying Sureya." He joked, though he still wasn't much to be pleased with being woken up.

Jade place a hand on her comrade's shoulder. "An ugly sight, and one as preventable as this? Makes you wonder, doesn't it? What the Creator has in store for us, a plan that only his eyes and his mind can comprehend. I can sense your rage building inside you. Do be carefull to not let it out of control. One wrong move and you could easily end up dead." Her ex
pression was still and unmoving but her voice hinted at a smile hidden behind her mask. Levi had been her friend for quite some time, their bringing together having seemed a little like fate. Only just the beginning of the Creator's mysteries. Jade shook her head, exspelling unneccesary memories from her mind. "Tell me, what is on your mind."

  Sureya smiled hugely as she bounced up from the couch and into his arms. "I finished! I finished! I finished! Look! Look!" She let Jake go and grabbed the printed manu from the table before shoving it into his hands. The cream colored cover sheet bore her distinctive calligraphy with the words, The Wizzarding War. "After four years, I'm finally done!" She sobered abruptly. "You're not mad at me are you?"

  Levi turned and smiled at Jade. She was truly unique, he thought, to be here on the pratice field with him. The only women who usually did that were looking to make husbands out of the knights. Jade was really only there for him. He appreciated it. "There's nothing specific on my mind right now," he responded, placing his hand over hers on his shoulder for a moment. "I only wonder where the justice is in all of this?" he streched his hand out towards the desolation. "All those lives lost... Sometimes I think I might hate the Creator."

"Mad, ofcourse I'm mad. You woke me up early. Now it's a matter of how long I can stay mad at you..." Jake winked and hugged Sureya tightly. "Congrats, you finaly finished it. It's only been four years but that was a long four years. I can't wait to buy it. Can I get you autograph?" He joked, looking at the manu in his hands. "It is a rather pleasant surprise, and you know what?" I am positive it will be a best seller. When are you sending it in?" He asked, handing the treasure back to it's owner.

Jade sighed. "We all do at some point. Hate Him for the punishments we are given, for the disease that takes our friends and family. But then again, there is always a plan. We can only see the small details and the painful stuff. I am sure the Creator has bigger and better things he is leading us to." Jade looked out at the wreckage and could almost hear the screaming of the souls who had been caught there. Gripping her scythe Jade took a step back. "Come here. Let's take your mind off of things and train." Her smile turned from kind to mischevious glare. Her feet shifted into a defensive stance, her hands spreading evenly apart on the shaft of the scythe. "You may strike first."

   "You ought to be awake at," Sureya stopped to check her phone, "6 in the morning. You know what they say, early bird and all that..." She looked down at the manu in her hand, imagineing it bound hardback in forest green linen, with gold lettering. "I want to send it in soon. " She whirled around, leading the way back to her room, where the old friends could sit and talk. Stopping for a second, she said, "Hey, why don't you go on back. I'm going to make some cocoa and meet you there." She handed him the manu and turned away, heading to the kitchen. The winter had been colder than usual this year, and the warm fire in her room, paired with the hot cocoa, sounded perfect. When she was done, Sureya entered the bedroom carrying two huge mugs of steaming cocoa, covered with marshmallows and sprinkled with cinamon. "Here you go," she said, handing Jake his mug and settling down on the couch facing the fire next to him. She was snatching part of the blanket away from him for herself when she asked, "Do you really think  they'll accept it?"

  Lavi cocked his eye at Jade. "I have permission to strike first, do I?" He swung out, holding back a little, just like all of them did when training against wach other. "You know that you will loose." They moved like lightning, a rapid fire of thrusts and parries. He became aware of others on the pratice field coming to watch.
