With a sight, Shadefang padded out of the warriors den, "jsut a short hunting trip." he said, "then maybe I could get in a nap quick.

"Bye Boneshatter." Cloudfeather said quietly. She padded to the camp entrance and sat down, wrapping her tail around her paws and looking into the forest. StarClan. Bring my brother home to me safely. And may there be no war while some of our warriors are gone.

Batear looked over at Deathnote, "should we leave then?" she asked.

"Sleep is great." Shadefang purred, "its my second favorite thing in the world."

Tiger leapt to her feet, "then what are we waiting for?" she asked, "lets go!"

Batear chuckled and shook her head, "not all of us can be early birds you know." she said, jerking her head in the direction of Danshadow, who was lazily grooming her fur.

Deathnote snorted stubbornly. "Well, we can't be wasting daylight, you know. We've got a long ways to travel still, I'm guessing." Blinking, he nodded at the boggy land ahead of them. "That'll take a while to get through, even if we walk in a straight line..."

"You can't walk in a straight line," Ravenfeather blurted out loud. Burning under his fur, he added, "There's a lake with alligators..."

The other toms gave him a questioning stare.

"What's your first?" Jadewhisper asked, twitching her whiskers in amusement.  

Tiger nodded her head, "all swamps have alligators." she said quickly "we need to watch out for them, they aren't very dangerous if you stay out of their way, but the minute you put one paw in it, they will go after you."

Dawnshadow shuddered nervously, "Thank StarClan we dont have those in the forest!" she said quietly. Batear nodded in agreement, "Hey Tiger, have you ever seen alligators? Are they really as big as the Elders used to say?"

Tiger nodded solemnly, "I've had a few run ins with alligators in the past, they are fast in water, and can run for a little while on land, but they cant climb at all." she said with a shrug.

Shadefang shrugged, "I would tell you, but then I'd have to kill you." he teased.

Chain shrugged, Deathnote only doing the same. "Alright, alright," he purred. "We'll linger for a few minutes until everyone is fully awake."

"I'd be willing to take that risk," Jadewhisper teased.

"I'm not." Shadefang replied, padding out of camp and into the forest.

Shadefang shrugged, "maybe some other time, just not now." he said.

___

Dawnshadow stood and stretched her muscles, "okay, we should probably leave before we waste to much daylight." she said with a yawn.

Batear nodded in agreement, "well Tiger, which way?" she asked.

Tiger painted with her nose, "that way, but we will have to go around the lake." she said.

Jadewhisper snorted unhappily, stalking away from him. "Fine," she sniffed. "I'll be hunting near the big oak if you need me."

Ravenfeather stretched out, grateful that Tiger had covered his slip up. He unsheathed his claws, letting them sink into the moist ground.

Chain nodded. "Sounds like a plan. I'll cover the rear of the group, if you don't mind. I travel a little slower than Clan cats anyways. I like to keep an eye out for herbs and such."

Deathnote, purring heavily as he usually did, only smiled. "I'm itching to get going. It seems like we left camp forever ago." 

Dawnshadow nodded in agreement with Deathnote, "And I want to get back as soon as possible! I bet our clanmates are worried already." she said.

Tiger nudged Ravenfeather lightly with her shoulder as she walked past him, "you welcome." she whispered  before flicking his ear lightly with her tail.

Shadefang sighed, "alright then." he said.

Deathnote nodded, starting to pad in the direction of the swamp. "I can't wait to get back either," he said, shaking out his fur. "I'm sure Cougarstar is worried sick about us."

Ravenfeather purred, eyes shimmering as he watched Tiger walk away. Straightening out, tail high, he followed Deathnote, ready to start the day's journey. "How far away do you think they are? I'd hate to be caught out here during winter."

Dawnshadow nodded her head, "especially since Ravenfeather is with us." she said.

((i has a plan, but it involved Ravenfeather actually SLEEPING the next night XD))

Batear padded alongside Chain, "So whats your story?" she asked, "everyone has one."

Chain only smiled at Batear. "I'm sure it would bore you. How about you tell me about yourself, and your Clan? Maybe then I'll spill."

Ravenfeather flicked his ears uncomfortably. "She won't even notice I'm gone," he argued uncomfortably. "By now she and Cloudfeather are probably rejoicing in my disappearance."

Dawnshadow shot Ravenfeather a sharp look, "now now, you know that your mother cares about you. You and Cloudfeatehr are her world! and we both know that Cloudfeather sees the good in you even when the rest of us can't"

Batear twitched her ears, "what do you want to know?" she asked.

Ravenfeather snorted. "You say that like there's some good in me to see." He flicked his ears stubbornly, tuning the she-cat out. He was too busy thinking of his father, Oakfeather, and what he would do in this situation. Probably sleep...

"Anything you'd like to share," Chain purred. "How a clan works. How many cats are in a clan. What positions are in a clan. All sorts of stuff."  

Dawnshadow rolled her eyes, "Theres good in everyone." she said, fully aware that she was getting ignored anyway.

Batear twitched her ears, "well the leader is obviously in charge, you know a leader by the end of their name, like our leader is Cougarstar. And Stoneclan's new leader is Lonestar. The deputy is basically second in command, ours is Mudsplash. And the medicine cat is who takes care of our sick. Boneshatter is his name. A medicine cat is also like an advisor to the Leader, and can have visions from StarClan, but, if StarClan wishes it, they can send visions to any cat they want..." And she continued on, telling Chain about the duties of warriors and apprentices, and how the elders tell the kits stories about how things used to be.((and basically tells him everything snoweh is too lazy to type XD))
