{ Aaandd.... I dunno. Maybe a time skip. The journey cats have crossed the swamp, and Mud'star' is just arriving back from her trip from the Moonstone/pool. I would imagine it's night time or something. c: }

Swamp:

Dawnshadow knew the instant they were out of the swamp. The earth felt solid beneath her paws. She purred loudly, "Finaly!" she meowed, "Now we can finally get dry!" she looked up at teh sky, and saw the star Tiger had told them to follow burning brightly just ahead of them. Who are you? She asked the star silently, Who were you while you still lived? ((I vote Adderstrike is showing them the way XD jsut because he was always so hateful LOL that and he died rather young, not long after JadexEagle were born. That or Sabletail. The mother of the missing cats.))

Batear glanced at Chain, "want to go hunting?" she asked, "Nobody has eaten all day, and I'm sure they are all pretty hungry."

Tiger Chuckled softly at Dawnshadow, whe was busily licking her paws to get some of the moisture off of them. She yawned loudly, her lack of sleep the previous night catchign up with her. She glanced around for somewhere to sleep, and noticed a hole in the gorund. Cautiously, she moved forward to investigate, "its an abandoned Badger den!" she called back to the rest of the cats, sniffing the wide entrance. The scent of Badger was so faint, it was almost noexistent. But the den was large, more than large enough for the travelling band of cats.

MEANWHILE:

Eagletalon nibbled absentmindedly on a mause as he waited for Mudsplash, er, MudSTARs return. He wondered who had given her the new lives, but knew he wouldnt be allowed to ask, that and she wasnt allowed to tell.

__

Honeywhisker slunk silently into camp, back to her usual, sneaky self. On her way to the warriors den, she dropped two mice on the Freshkill pile and dipped her head respectfully to Eagletalon, who nodded in return. Which a twitch of her whiskers, she padded past her uncle, slightly amused by the fact that even though her and Eagletalon were in fact the same age, he was still her uncle, well, sort of.

Cloudfeather napped lazily in the warriors den. She felt a prod in her shoulder and hissed, opening her eyes to see Shadefang.She gazed into his deep blue eyes with her own icy blue gaze, "you should really Do something Cloudfeather. You're usually so optimistic. It bugs me to see you all alone." he said softly.

Cloudfeather snorted, "Sorry if I'm not too optimistic when everything I know is being turned upside down. You want me to be happy? Bring my brother back. The day Ravenfeather gets home is the day I leave camp again."

"perhaps I wasnt clear enough." He said with a sigh. Shadefang puffed up his fur slightly, "get you're lazy butt up and moving before I make you!" he said, eyes flashing.

Cloudfeather bared her teeth, "I'd like to see you try." Then she blinked in suprise as Shadefang cuffed her sharply upside the head. She scrambled to her feet, still shocked that laid-back, quiet Shadefang had actually hit her. She hissed at him once, before turned and stalking out of the warriors den, tail dragging.

Shadefang followed her, feeling smug and proud of himself, "now eat something." he demanded." His cousin begrudgingly oblighed, shooting daggers at him with her sharp gaze the whole time.

(I vote for Rainstar, the leader of Stonclan that Tiger knew; since Tiger is the one who pointed out the star and all. ) 

Swamp:

Ravenfeather, eying the badger den distastefully, only inclined his head. "It'll do," he said solemnly. "Though, I'd much rather sleep in a tree. I'm uncomfortable underground. Makes me feel trapped." 

Chain, shaking out his fur as to rid himself of the moisture there, purred heartily. "Of course," he said, genuinely pleased to be asked to hunt with the foreign cats. "I'm sure we could all do with a mouse or two."

Deathnote, only glaring warningly at Ravenfeather for a moment, smiled at Tiger. "It's more than okay. We'll be less exposed to the elements in that badger den, and its probably very spacious." 

MEANWHILE:

Mudstar padded into camp, Jadewhisper at her heels with a large, plump rabbit clamped in her mouth. The new leader seemed to shine with a new-found confidence that was lost to her before, head high and ears erect. Once she laid eyes on Eagletalon, however, she looked happier and more content, relief washing over her in a colossal ti
tle wave. The camp was still intact. 

Jadewhisper padded behind her new leader, tail high in the air as she carried her prized rabbit. It bumped uncomfortably against her forelegs when she walked, however, and strained her neck due to the heavy weight of the animal. Dropping it in the fresh-kill pile, she looked around camp absentmindedly, as if she expected Tiger to be waiting for her, hidden in the shadows of the unused nursery. 

Darkwing slid out of the warrior's den, fur slightly ruffled unhappily. Shadefang and Cloudfeather's wrestle had woken him from a delightful dream which he was starting to forget already. Grumpy and still slightly uneasy around Mudstar, he only stared at her dubiously as she walked into camp. He knew she wasn't a murderer, but Cougarstar's death had still risen a certain suspicion in the young tom. 

Boneshatter sat in his den, staring blankly at the entrance, as if waiting for his sister to walk in at any moment. They were never as close as he'd liked, but her lack of presence was still unnerving. He'd been so used to having her around. Now, he suspected he felt almost like Cloudfeather did, only he could not fathom what she was going through. He'd never been very close to his parents. 

((brilliant! YAY RAINSTAR!!!)

Batear purred, "great. Lets go then. I want to get back before moonhigh." she said, turning and padding into a small, wooded area. She glanced around cautiously, this was not the forest back home. She would have to be a little more cautious here than back in the clan territories.

Dawnshadow gave the star one last glance before padding over to the Badger den. Tiger was right, this den was obviously abandoned. She could hardly smell the badger at all. And it was large. The soft dirt inside of it would be much more comfortable than the trees.

"Then sleep in a tree for all we care." Tiger said to Ravenfaither with a shrug, "I hope it rains on you." she teased with a mischievious smile.

__

CAMP:

Satisfied that Cloudfeatehr had eaten, Shadefang glanced up at Jadewhisper, "good morning." he purred, "you're up early."

Cloudfeather rolled her eyes and stood up, stretching and glancing at Mudstar. It was slightly unnerving how much the brown tabby she-cat resembled Oakfeather. And for a moment, it made her feel more lonely than ever. With a sigh, she padded over to a sunny spot in camp and lay down on the ground, sprawling out to sun herself.

Eagletalon dipped his head to Mudstar, "hey there." He purred, "ddi you have breakfast yet?" he asked, tilting his head to the side.

Honeywhiskep stopped when she saw her brother. Darkwing. He was finally a warrior too. Try as she might, she couldnt deny how proud she was of her brother. Other cats had been sent to the Elder's den for injuries half as bad as the one Darkwing had gotten. She wondered faintly how it would have been if she had gotten her entire leg mangled. She definately would have issues being stealthy.

Chain followed after Batear, pricking his ears so he could listen carefully to everything around them. Foxes and badgers were not something they wanted to have a run in with right now, as it would only hinder them and slow their progress. 

Deathnote padded into the badger den, eyes scanning the large, cavernous area. His eyes were alight. "Shame there won't be somewhere as perfect as this next time we stop," he said thoughtfully. "Though, we'd be good to remember where it is, so we remember to come here on our way back."

Ravenfeather snorted, rolling his eyes at her. "I hope a badger comes and eats you," he teased back, eying a large maple tree not far from the badger den. The branches were close together, high off of the ground, and there were enough leaves on it to shelter him from unwanted eyes. It was perfect. Well, almost perfect.

CAMP:

Jadefeather meowed a stiff hello, still seeming to carry on the argument from yesterday. "The early bird catches the worm, I guess," she said in a monotone. Truth was, her disturbing dreams wouldn't let her sleep, so she'd sneaked out of camp to do some hunting. 

"No," Mudstar said, tilting her head slowly to look at him. "I don't suppose I had. I was in a hurry to get back to camp, I guess." She blinked, frowning as she thought about something. "Eagletalon, what am I going to say about Cougarstar at the next clan gathering? Cats will want to know what happened."

Stretching out, Darkwing tried to ignore the stiffness in his bad leg. The muscles were cramping, as usual, and were actually quite painful. He padded over to Cloudfeather, frowning as he prodded her with a gentle paw. "Would you like to go hunting with me?"

Boneshatter exited his den, eyes sweeping the camp in one fluid motion. He considered asking a cat to help him look for herbs, as he had no apprentice, but he didn't know who to ask and instead wandered out of the camp by himself.  

Tiger stuck her toung out at Ravenfeather, feeling like a kit, "yeah well, I hope an owl gets you!" she said.((GASP! i just remembered as I typed this, Ravenfeatehr had a brother, Owlkit XD))

Dawnshadow shrugged, "well you never know what we will find, who knows, we might find ourselves sleeping in an abandoned twoleg nest before long." she pointed out. She saw a spot with old, dried up moss in it, "that much have been where the badger slept." she said quietly.

Batear twitched her large ears when she heard a small scuffling sound in the brush. Dropping into a hunters crouch, she crept forward on silent paws, and her eyes locked onto a fat, furry mouse. She twitched her tailtip and the mouse glanced around, as if aware it was being watched. Batear pounced, golden paws landing on top the mouse as she silenced it with one quick bite to the neck. Whisperinga quiet thanks to StarClan, she grabbed the mouse and looked at Chain with a purr of satisfaction, eyes glittering.

__

CAMP:

Shadefang chucked, "I guess you're right, but the night owl catches the mouse." he pointed out.((hmmm. where have I used that before? Didnt Adderstrike say that once? XD))

Eagletalon sighed, "you have to tell them the truth. That we had a flood, and it took away Cougarstar's last life." He thought for a moment, What I dont get, is how the flood happened, usually the Beaver Dam upriver keeps floods away. It must have burst." His voice trailed off as he thougth for a moment.((Eagletalon smells murder ;) ))

Cloudfeather opened one eye, "not really, but I might as well. THat will be easier than whatever Shadefang will dream up to keep me from doing nothing." she said with a sigh, standong up and stretching with a yawn. She shook out her silvery fur and looked at Darkwing, "lead the way." she said, nodding her head in the direction of the camp entrance.

((he never said that Mudstar did it!!))

 Eagletalon shook his head, "didn't Tiger say something about Rainstar dying unexpectedly?" he asked, "that she thought Lonewolf did it?" he had overheard the whiteshe-cat talking to Jadewhisper, and wondered if Lonewolf, now Lonestar, would murder Cougarstar as well as Rainstar. he shivered lightly.

Cloudfeather raised one eyebrow at him, "it doesnt matter how long we stay out, if you're legs already acting up, it can't really get any worse." she said with a shrug.

Shadefang bolted after Jadewhisper, "need any help?" he asked, "I've been looking for an excuse to get out of camp." he said with a shrug, nodding his head to Cloudfeather and Darkwing as he pas.sed.

JOURNEY:

Batear laughed, "not bad. Not bad at all!" she praised, "But birds have too many feathers. And I prefer something that makes me chase it." she said wtih a shrug, "its to late for any rabbits to be out, but maybe tomorrow I will show you. The chase is the best part of Hunting!"

Dawnshadow nodded, "I agree with you on that!" she said, "The less of the Twolegs I see, the better."

"What?" Tiger asked, confused slightly when his smile disappeared and he went quiet.
