Ravenfeather pulled himself onto the branch he'd had his eye on, tail hanging over the edge as he peered down at Tiger. His eyes were unreadable, his ex
pression just as confusing. "It's nothing," he said with a twitch of his ears, though by the way he was acting it seemed like a lot more than nothing.

((LMAO awkward! that cant be as bad as the time one of my hot guy friends and his even HOTTER brother saw us at the mall when we were shopping......at victorias secret XD))

Eageltalon shivered lightly, "I hope it wasnt him. Then we would have another Tigerstar on our paws." he whispered softly, "I pray to StarClan it was a freak accident and it will never happen again."

Cloudfeather twitched her ears, "am I the only one who doesnt hear a thing out here?" she said. It was too quiet, and gave the forest a somewhat eerie feel. Then a scuffling noise caught her attention, and on pur instinct, she quickly crouched and pounced into a nearby clump of gr*censored*, landing on top of a cricket. Slightly embaras.sed, she felt her face grow warm.

"Too bad." Shadefang said, "flicking his tail, I'm going alone anyway." he teased lightly, ignoring her foul mood.

___

JOURNEY:

Batear shrugged, "to each his own." she decided.

Dawnshadow rolled her eyes and curled up not to far from Deathnote, "always an optimist huh? Looking at the brightside." she teased, resting her head on her paws.

"Its obviously not nothing." Tiger said, flexing her claws, but dropping the subject with a sigh, "well I'm not going to leave you out here alone." she said, climbing nimbly up the tree, "that way if theres danger, theres two of us here instead of one." she said, laying across a branch that was parallel to to Ravenfeather's.

it just creeps me out that he's like, "it looks your size"... and he was right. o_o }

Mudstar's voice was marred with a twinge of sadness. "Sometimes history repeats itself. Owlkit drowns, Cougarstar drowns. Tigerstar brings horror to the forest, and now Lonestar brings horror to the forest. It's a vicious circle, isn't it?"

Darkwing laughed, but not at her. Instead he was laughing in good nature, the musical sound his amusement created paired with a small, teasing joke. "We'll save that one for Honeywhisker."

Jadewhisper only sighed, leading the way towards where her prey was buried. To keep thoughts of Tiger and the missing cats at bay, she let he mind wander over the juicy thrush and mice she'd buried.

___

JOURNEY:

"To each his own." he repeated with a grin. Ears standing erect, he swiveled his head to peer in to the darkness past Batear, eyes flickering. "did you hear that?" he meowed, voice uncertain. "It sounded like... something big. And close."

Deathnote only sighed, seeming to grow sober and lose the hint of playfulness in his voice. "Not much to be optimistic about, though."

Ravenfeather couldn't seem to hide the hint of a smile on his muzzle. "I think I can handle whatever comes my way. But thanks; now you can get soaking wet in the rain with me." He laughed lightly, eyes focused upwards at the lingering gray clouds in the darkening sky. 

((well the guys we met up with just happened to be walking by and came in and me and my friends of course hid the scandalous clothes we were buying behind out backs and blushed XD))

Batear tilted her head, twitching her ears, "hear what?" she wasnt used to not being the first to hear things, and wondered how she didnt hear the sound Chain was referring to, being the one with rader-like ears and all.

Dawnshadow sighed,"theres always something to be obtimistic about." she said with a yawn, "you're still breathing arent you? And you are healthy, and Batear and Chain will be back soon with food, we are safe and warm, and StarClan is pointing us in the right direction, there's a lot to be optimistic about."

"Oh yay." Tiger said with a chuckle, "what fun! Two nights in a row I get stuck in the rain!"

__
CAMP:

Eagletalon nodded solemnly, "we can only hope that if Lonestar is the one causing trouble, that we can stop him before he causes as much destruction as Tigerstar did."

Cloudfeather laughed and shook her head, "nope, this one has Shadefang written all over it!" she said, standing over her 'great catch' proudly.

Shadefang padded along after Jadewhisper, mind wandering slightly and looking up at the sky, the sun was already beginning to set, the day had gone by fast, it would probably be dark before long.

Batear nodded once and turned back to where the rest of the cats were.((fail XD))

Dawnshadow laughed quietly, "and I'm trying to un-moody you!" she  said back, Flicking his ear with her tail.

Tiger shrugged, "If you can handle it, so can I." she said simply.

___

Camp:

"you can't" Eagletalon said quietly, "nobody can. But, you CAN make you're own space, its your time now, hers was meant to end, whether we like it or not."

"Or a dung beetle." Cloudfeather said, whiskers twitching in amusement. Her fluffly-silver fur was fluffed up against teh breeze blowing their way. Her voice grew solemn as she said, "maybe most of the prey died in the flood last night." she said.

"nice catch." Shadefang complimented, looking at Jadewhispers stockpile.

"No problem." Dawnshadow said, pushing him off with her back legs. She stood up and shook out her fur just as Batear came running into the den, fur standimg up and eyes wider than an owls. She was shivering lightly and stared at the entrance, waiting for Chain.

"Whats wrong?" Dawnshadow asked, but was completely ignored.

Tiger smirked, "good to know a Clan cat who isnt spoled and overfed." she teased back.

___

CAMP

Eagletalon shrugged, "I do my best." he said with a smile.

"It could be hiding." Cloudfe3ather said, "look, its going to rain agian." she said, looking up at the cloudy sky.

{ Aha. I made the transformation to a geeky child... to all they guys' best friend. ;3 }

Chain slid sideways into the badger den after Batear, tripping over her paws. He tried not to look to ruffled, but it was obvious. "Wolves," he hissed. "They followed us from the forest... we didn't even get a chance to grab our prey..." A howl close by made his words sound more truthful.

Deathnote shivered, standing up from being pushed off of Dawnshadow. "What do we do? We're trapped in here... wait. Where is Ravenfeather and Tiger?" 

Ravenfeather laughed, "I'll take that as a compliment." He then perked his ears, watching in disbelief as Batear, Chain, and later three hulking black canines broke from the trees, heading towards the den. He frowned, standing up nimbly on his branch. "Tiger... look!"

The dogs -or whatever they were- lingered around the mouth of the den, which was too small for them to enter, howling angrily. 

___

CAMP

Mudstar nodded and disappeared into her den, as if to retire for the night. She had a long journey... and a longer life ahead of her. 

Darkwing wrinkled up his nose in disgust, eyes flickering upwards. "The last thing we need right now is more rain..."

((thats what i was! i was the social reject, to party-rock kid XD))

Batear regained her thoughts, "we are safe in here. The tunnels are too small and the ground is really rocky, I don't think they will dig after us." she said

Dawnshadow shivered, "Lets hope Ravenfeather and Tiger had enough sense to climb a tree." She looked around, "theres got to be another way out of here!" she said, looking at the winding tunnel behind her.

Tiger's fur bristled, "WOLVES!" she yowled, "I didnt realise they came this close to the swamp! not since an alligator took their Alpha not to long ago." she said, amber eyes locked on the wolves.

Cloudnfeatehr nodded her head in agreement, "but whatever we don't need, has got to be here." she said with an unhappy sigh.

{ Mmm. I'm more skater/rebel than anything. xD Skinny jeans, hightops (also, DCs sometimes), graphic tees, graphic hoodies, and a skateboard with green grip tape is my daily outfit. xD }

Deathnote only nodded. "They still might spot us coming out of there, though. Perhaps we should just wait."

Ravenfeather pinned his ears to his head. "The others are trapped in there. What should we do? Just wait for the wolves to leave?"

"What is going on in Starclan?" Darkwing wondered aloud. 

((Snowehs a hippie/rebel/rocker, uggs or airwalks, low-cut tee-shirt with peace signs, music notes, or guitars on it, and ripped up, snug fitting jeans. and zip-up hoodies that usually belong to one of my guy friends XD ))

"Wait!?" Dawnshadow snapped, "wait for what? for them to find a way in? For us to starve to death? We need to find a way out, even if it means fighting tooth and claw for it!" her fur bristled.

Batear nodded, "shes right, lets follow those tunnels and hope for the best, its all we really CAN do."

Tiger watched the wolves, "they wont leave. At least not for a long time. I say we play a little offense." she said. She glanced around and noticed a long tree branch that dangled over the wolves, she started to leap from branch to branch, making her way closer and closer to the wolves, and not letting herself look down or be scared. When she reached the branch, she scratched at it, slowly wearing through it so it would fall.

Cloudfeather looked up again, "I wonder if they bring clan rivalries to StarClan. THere could be war." she said, voice low.

Deathnote and Chain only shared one look of doubt. Then Deathnote said, approaching the tunnel, "I'll go first; I can run pretty fast. I'll lead them off the trail and then climb up a tree or something.." 

Just as Chain was starting to ob
ject, something thrust it's way into the den; one of the wolves' paws. Claws digging into the soft dirt inside the den, it tried to find a cat to mangle. The silver tom pressed himself against the wall, eyes uncertain. "Yeah. And hurry up!" 

Ravenfeather only watched Tiger with wide eyes, ignoring the horror that was gnawing at his stomach. Images of Tiger all bloodied and broken flashed through his mind. "Be careful!" he hissed at her, starting his own way down the tree. Lightning struck a tree in forest, emitting a crack so loud it hurt the tom's ears.

{ lol. Should Ravenfeather get eaten by the wolves NOW, or on their way back? ;3 }

Darkwing let his ears droop, not responding to Cloudfeather. "Let's go back to camp," he meowed, voice drowned out by a loud crack of thunder. "We're not going to find much else out here."

With a loud snap, the brance bent and fell down, striking one of the wolves on its back, "Always am!" Tiger called." The wolf yelped loudly and backed up looking around for the attacker, when he spotted Tiger, the wolf curled its lip and glared at her wtih amber eyes almost as dark as her own.

Dawnshadow pressed up against Deathnote for an instant, burying her nose in his fur, "be careful, and may StarClan protect you." she whispered.

Batear puffed up and hissed, striking the wolf paw with unsheathed claws and smirking with satisfaction when it wtihdrew. Her smirk vanished when it was back after a moment, with small, bloody scratches from her claws.

CAMP:

Cloudfeather nodded and ruffled her thick fur, "no sense getting wet for nothing." she said, turning and padding back toweard camp.

{ and lol. o3o Kevin only gave me his favourite sweater. xD I have one from Alex and one from Jack though. } 

{ HE IS GONNA GET EATEN BY WOLVES THOUGH. }

Ravenfeather lingered in the shadows at the base of the tree, tail tip twitching back and forth as he waited for the perfect moment to strike. There were three dogs, and only two cats outside of the den. They were outmatched. 

Deathnote nodded, but said nothing in return, glancing backwards at Batear and Chain once before he raced out of the small tunnel. He blinked, rain stinging his eyes, locating the wolves instantly. "Hey fatties!" he hissed, yowling as loud as he could. When the first came running for him, he bolted for the trees. It was right behind him, breath warm on his back.

Chain smiled at Deathnote as he left, moving to *censored*ist Batear. He lunged and rolled to avoid being struck by the wolf, gouging deep wounds in its paw with his long, sharp curved claws. Built for fighting, not running...

CAMP:

Darkwing nodded, following her back quietly. 

((SORRY SORRY SORRY SORRY snoweh ish grounded >.< she may be sneaky enough to get online while playing hooky from school............like right now XD Snoweh has been having problems sleeping(like realy bad. I only get 2-4 hours a sleep a night) for the last few weeks and shee told her mom she wasnt going to school today. So here I am. Sitting in my big empty house sippin a late XD))

Dawnshadow hissed loudly, "theres still two left." She said, baring her sharp teeth.

Tiger glanced at Ravenfeather, then back at teh wolf. It was still by the entrance to the badger den, but not trying to get in  like the other. The wolf was taunting her with his eyes and her glance shot to Ravenfeather again. She leapt down to a lowser branch and the wolf leapt up in the air, jaws snapping shut just a whiskerlength below her tail.

The second time the wolf leapt, Tiger lashed out with lightning-fast claws and struck it across the face. The wolf snarled loudly and crouched low to the ground, then leapt a third time, jaws snapping shut on her tail. Eyes widening in shock, Tiger kicked him in the face with her back paw. Although the wolf let go, she already knew she had lost her balance. As she fell, she sunk her claws into the branch, and was hanging by her fron paws.

She tried pulling herself up, and was curled slightly around the large branch. Tighteing her grip slightly, Tiger closed her eyes and waited for the worst.

Batear flexed her claws, "only one left." she said with a smirk, "Tiger and Ravenfeather havent left us it seems." She said, "Dawnshadow, Chain, think the three of us can handle one wolf?" She had heard the stories of how Her parents had fought a fox and won easily when they were just apprentices. So couldnt three full grown warriors handle a wolf?

((*gigglesnorts* Since Snoweh is soo bored, shes begun designing ner charras. So far she has two kittypets ;D

One of them, A lean, muscular orange tabby tom with green eyes named O'Brian.

The other-a fluffy she-cat by the name of Gucci. She has a pink studded collar and white fur with silver tabby paints on her tail, paws, muzzle, and ears.

Gucci will keep her Kittypet name. I'm undecided about O'Brian :

{ LOL. ;3 I only have one kittypet charra; Tessa. Slim, with piercing brown eyes and a solid green collar. Her fur is short, silky, and a shade of brown not far from black. She has one patch, which is white, on her throat. WC name; Viperstrike. }

Deathnote knew he wouldn't be able to climb a tree fast enough; the dog would grab him and drag him down before he had a chance. He continued to sprint, heart thumping in his chest, until he saw his lucky break; a fallen tree with a hollowed center. He would fit, but none of the wolves would. He threw himself inside, panting harshly.

Ravenfeather lunged at the wolf, yowling something as he did so. He wasn't sure what he said; he wasn't thinking about it. A ball of black fury, his teeth and claws sunk into the wolf's throat, blood flowing into his mouth. It tasted coppery. Fear gripped him almost as hard as he gripped the wolf, but he didn't let go. He had to hold on, long enough for Tiger to regain her balance.

Chain purred, shaking out his thick silver fur. "Alright. I'm up for the challenge." His eyes glinted, watching as the wolf pulled its paw back. "go through the back; I'll surprise it!" He then dashed through the front entrance, not waiting for a response, catching the huge beast off guard. He went straight for its sensitive underbelly.
