Tessa shot a dirty look at Dawnshadow, biting down on her tongue so she wouldn't snap back at her with a sharp retort. Twolegs had never owned her. She owned them. Ask any cat; she'd been moved to more homes than countable because she was so 'untrainable'. "Tessa," she muttered, looking at O'Brian and Gucci. "That's my name."

Deathnote glanced up at Tiger, and then at Ravenfeather, but only smiled at Gucci and O'Brian. "Nice to meet you," he replied, realizing with a pang how many cats would really be travelling with them now. "I'm Deathnote. You've met Ravenfeather and Tiger, I can see."

Chain sniffed. "I'm Chain; not a warrior cat, not a kittypet. And, if you'll be excusing me, I'm going to go collect some more herbs." He jumped out of the branch he'd been sitting on, landing nimbly on his feet, and let his nose guide him away from the others. The more cats there were, the more uncomfortable he felt, and he was suddenly glad that he didn't live in a Clan.

Ravenfeather grinned mischeviously, as he always used to. "Nice collar," he taunted Tessa, who seemed to be seething over Dawnshadow's words. He laid down, head on his paws, letting his burning muscles relax.

"I'm Dawnshadow." the pretty she-cat purred, "its a pleasure to meet you both!" she glacned sideways at Tessa and smirked, she had angered the other she-cat so easily. This could be fun.

"My name is Batear," she said, flickign her large ears, "for obvious reasons." she paused for a moment, "so will you two be spending the night here?" she asked.

O'Brian shrugged, "not if we will be too much of a bother..." he said, looking to Deathnote, who seemed like the leader of the small band.

"If I may ask," O'Brian began, "where is the rest of your clan?" he asked.(JDWRHFKLWEHNFL Sickfail))

"Far away," Deathnote murmured, staring at his paws dreamily. "Back in the forest a long ways away from here. over five day's travel with all these injured cats."

"Maybe they thought the other Clan had killed them." Gucci said.

"Wait," O'Brian wrinkled his nose, "I may not know much about clans, ut isnt against your laws to kill a kit? The...." he searched for the words, "Warrior Code?"

Chain, who was usually gentle, put his herbs down and when he spoke his voice was a harsh snarl. "My father would do no such thing!" he said, stalking towards Gucci. His blue eyes burned with a deep loathing Deathnote was sure was not actually directed at Gucci herself. "So I suggest, unless you want me to rip that stupid look right off your face, you shut right up and be quiet. I will not have that... that... rubbish spewed in my presence!" After a moment of silence, he took off, seeming to be a faster runner than he'd suggested to Batear.

Deathnote frowned; perhaps his silbling's disappearances had been a problem for Chain's family as well, and not just his own. It was quiet until Tessa piped up. "What about Ravenfeather? Does anyone else know which herbs to use?"

That would be a problem, he thought, glancing at the pile of jumbled leaves and berries.  

Dawnshadow nodded, "I do, I talkedto Boneshatter before we left so we would be prepared in case of emergency." she said, beginning to sort through the herbs.

"I'll be back." Batear meowed, leaping down from her branch in the tree and following Chains scent. She picked her pace up to a run, despite her somewhat sore muscles.
