"Alright," Deathnote murmured, blinking at Dawnshadow fondly. "Thank you. You're a life saver."

Ravenfeather grunted. "I don't care who does it; just don't poison me too badly. I've had enough near-death experiences this week, thank you." He sighed. "I'd like to get back to Honeywhisker in one piece, like I promised her." There was a long stretch of silence. "Er- you weren't supposed to hear that."

Tessa cocked her head to one side. "Who's Honeywhisker?" she asked quietly. No one answered her.

Chain stopped near the small stream he'd found earlier, beginning to pace back and forth. His claws scored deep gashes in the soft dirt.  

Tiger dropped down from her place in the trees, landing quietly and seeming to appear out of nowhere. She sat down beside Tessa, "Honeywhisker is the she-cat who saved my life, even after Ravenfeather tried to end it." she said. She galcned at the tom ans was slightly amazed at how much they had both changed in such a short time.

Dawnshadow gave Ravenfeather a bundle of herbs, ignring the Honeywhisker comment, since she 'wasnt supposed to hear it.' she winked at him, "These are right." she said, "I think." she added with a joking laugh.

Batear skidded to a halt when she saw Chain. She sat down and wrapped her tail around her paws, "what exactly hapened to your family why Sealkit and Graykit went missing?" she asked quietly.

tiger glanced sideways at Tessa, "Nice isnt the word I'd use for Honeywhisker. She found me, but when Ravenfeather attacked me, she wasnt exactly quick to come to my rescue. Honeywhisker and Ravenfeather are a lot alike, from what I could tell."

"Boneshatter never told me what those kinds of herbs were, so everything I didn't recognize, I left here for Chain to deal with when he comes back." Dawnshadow said with a shrug.

"I never said a word." Batear retorted angrily, "and its not like Gucci could have know that the rouge had been your father, shes not a Clan cat, shes not even a rouge." she said, shaking her head, "but thats not the point. I care because we are all in this together, like our own little Clan, and in a Clan, we all take care of each other."

"A perfect match then," Tessa said, sounding amused. "How long were you with them before you guys left for this little journey, then?"

"Oh, alright," Ravenfeather said sleepily. "Hm. That's weird; I don't remember being sleepy after taking any herbs last time..." Despite his better judgement, he yawned and closed his eyes, weary body falling into a deep sleep.

"Clan cats," Chain said, spitting the words like they were venemous. "Driving innocent cats out of their homes, claiming large chunks of land for themselves. Shoving murder off on the first outsider they see. Judging others by the collar they wear or the home they were born in." He snorted. "The only reason I'm here is to clear my father's name; he told me that if I was present when Sealkit and Greykit were brought back, they would know he was innocent." His tail lashed back and forth. "Though, I don't know why he wants the approval of the cats who killed his children..."

Tiger laughed, "only about a day." she admitted.

"I think there were poppy seeds in that." Dawnshadow admitted, "those are what Dreamsplash always gave me as a kit when I couldnt sleep."

Batear tilted her head, "killed his children? But you and Crow are both alive and perfectly healthy!" she said.

"StrikeClan would never do that!" batear said in disbelief, "that sounds more like StoneClan treachery, you can't catogorize us all like that. Its not fair to the rest of the Clans!"

Tiger shrugged, "at least ten, I didn't really count, but they are all like one big family. Not like the first Clan I lived with." she said, shaking her head.

"You do it to kittypets," Chain shot back. "And you just did it now; how do you know there aren't nice cats in StoneClan, like yourself? Or even vice versa?"

"Oh." Tessa said. "There is more than one Clan? Tell me about the other one. How long were you there?"

"Doid you see all the cuts on Tiger? They don't seem to bother her, but all of her injuries were given to her by StoneClan. They have been corrupted. She was a apprentice in their clan, and they nearly killed her. Are you going to tell me they are good?" Batear hissed sharply.

Tiger lashed her tail, "StoneClan is the other clan of the forest. They used to be a lot like StrikeClan, when Rainstar was leading them. And then she mysteriously died, and Lonewolf, now Lonestar took over. Then I was nearly killed by them, and thats all I really know, or care to know about them. They are no longer my family." she said, voice full of hostility.

Dawnshadow's looked over at Tiger sympathetically, knowing the she-cat had been though a lot, and wondering why she w*censored* helping StikeClan, even after StoneClan had betrayyed her like that. She lay down and rasted her head on her paws wiht a sigh.

Batear snorted, "No cat is born bad, they are just corrupted. Like in StrikeClan when I was born there was a she-cat by the name of Dreamsplash, she mentored my brother. And she was the nicest she-cat alive, but before i was born, Tigerstar of the dark forest controlled her, and she almost killed her own mentor, even the good can be turned bad, and it all depends on who their leader is." she said, "thats all I'm saying."

Tiger shook her head, "I never really understood twolegs, I've always avoided them."

"So did I," Tessa said. "Until they caught me and locked up up all the time. And every time I scratched or bit them, I got sent to another Twoleg, and another... and another... until the last pair accidently let the dog in, and it mauled my shoulder before I could get away fast enough."

Chain flicked his tail tip in silence, her words still not reflecting on his opinon on Clan cats. "I'll be back later," he muttered, standing back up. "Don't bother following me; I've nothing more to say. Tell the others whatever you want." And with that, he left, disappearing in the shady trees on his right. 

Tiger snorted, "twolegs and dogs. both of them irritating, loud, and too rough. Now thats a perfect match."

Batear lashed her tail, then stalked back to the rest of the group. She nimbly climbed the tree, not speaking to any of the other cats.

Tessa yawned, peering at the other worn-out cats around him. "We'd best get some rest," she murmured. "I'm sure we'll be getting up early tomorrow, right?" When Deathnote nodded, she sighed, meowing goodnight to Tiger before disappearing into the den under the willow.

"Tiger," Deathnote called, walking up to Ravenfeather's unconscious body. "Help me drag this big furball into the den, will you? StarClan forbid it rain tonight."
