"Call your warriors off." Eagletalon threatened, pinning the other tom down, "or I'll take one of your lives!" he snarled, pressing one paw down on Lonestar's throat lightly and unsheathing his claws.

Shadefang wrestled out of the grip of the brown tabby and slashed his claws along the length of the other cat's body, borh stopped fighting and just stared into the eyes of one another, trying to catch their breath. Shadefang saw in the other tom's eyes that he was just as unhappy about this fight at Shadefang was, he didn't belong there. The brown tom's eyes flicked over to the apprentice lying motionless on the ground.

"Pebblepaw!" he yowled, darting over to the apprentice's side and pressing his nose into the other cat's fur. He glared accusingly at Jadewhisper, "you killed her!" he yowled, standing up and grouching to spring at Jadewhisper, but Shadefang blocked his path, fur bristling.

"Enough." Shadefang hissed, "This is war, but unless you want to fight us both at once, you will cut your losses and leave."

The tom's eyes flickered dangerously for a moment, but he turned back to the apprentice and his ex
pression softly, "my only kit." he whispered, so softly that Shadefang could barely hear him. He picked her up gently by the scruff of her neck, gave Jadewhisper one last hostil look and vanished.

Shadefang looked at Jadewhisper, "come on, theres more to be done."

Couldfeather panted heavily. Her left shoulder was bleeding, and she had slash marks across her muzzle, but she was no worse off than the calico she-cat who faced her. Taking one last breath, CLoufeather lunged and sank her teeth into the she-cats shoulder, who yowled in pain. CLoudfeather was quickly puleld away from her by a stormy gray tom who tossed her aside like she was no more than a mouse. Cloudfeather scrambled to her feet, some adrenaline still flowed through her viens, but she was so tired now.

A lithe black she-cat slunk toward HOneywhisker, fur standing on end. Honeywhisker crouched low to the ground and sprung just a moment after the she-cat. THe two collided in mid-air and his the ground in a heam of flying calws and snapping jaws.

__

Batear laughed, "kind of, Ravenfeather os probably our largest warrior, maybe rivaled by Eagletalon, another of our warriors, and my brother. Ravenfeather's sister, Cloudfeather, may seem kind of huge when you meet her, but she's all fluff. Tiger's just abmnormably small. When I first saw her, I thought she was a kit. I was really suprised when she gave Ravenfeather a run for his money while only half-alive."

Dawnshadow sighed, "if we could make it past the wolves, I think we can make it the rest of the way. I mean, Ravenfeather was nearly dead! I actually thought he was, but he made it through, I think he can make it through anything. We have heard what Tiger is capable of, Chain is great with herbs, you area great leader, Batear is a great second-in-comand, we basically have our own clan! we will make it. There is no doubt in my mind."

"I think we were chosen to come along because of things like the wolves. the more that came along, the better. There's strength in numbers." Tiger said with a shrug.

Batear tilted her head, "maybe you just have to learn. Warriors aren't born with the knowledge of how to fight. We spend about six moons training ti be warriors." She smiled, "maybe, if you want, I could be your mentor. We could all help out of course."

"Maybe they were needed back in campe." Tiger said, "I mean, I obviously wasn't needed there, and you have already proved your worth out here, I guess we jsut have to trust Boneshatter's choices on who was to go and who was to stay." she finished. It had to have ben Boneshatter probably had put some thought behind who to send and who should stay.

"I don't think any of us mind too much." Dawnshadow said with a purr.

__

 Honeywhisker was reluctant to let go of the black she-cat she had pinned to the ground, but she finally did. She suddenly felt old and drained, and feeling rather numb, she lay down beside her brother, had on her paws, staring into space.

__

Shadefang nudged Jadewhisper lightly with his nose, "hey, it'll be alright." he said softly, "come on, lets get some breakfast." he urged.

__

Eagletalon's breath was labroed and he was exhausted, "there, thats a lot better." he snarled, he directed his complete attention to Lonestar, "alright, spill it." he said, fangs bared, "why did you attack us unprovoked like that?"

Lonestar's amber eyes were blank, showing none of his emotions, "why would I tell you that?" he asked.

"Because of the consequences if you dont." Eageltalon retorted sharply.

Couldfeather limped over to Mudstar, her silver fur was bloody and she was in pain from her many wounds, but there were other things to worry about, "When that black tom attacked you, the one I..." her voice faltered for a moment, "the one I killed." her voice dropped for a second, she rembembered her last words two him. Midstar had nine lives, he had only one, and she remembered biting down on the side of his neck, and she remebered him going limp in her jaws all to clearly, "before I got to him, did he take one of your lives?" her voice was low, directed only to her cousin, she knew Lonestar and Eagletalon couldn't hear her, even though they were pretty close.

Batear laughed, "ah, but the best way to learn is to do," she pointed out, "out here, away from the safety of the clan, you will have to learn faster, and I'm willing to bet you will be more motivated. Besides, do you really think I'm cruel enough to leave Gucci and O'Brian alone to fend for themselves? O'Brian can hunt, but he still has a lot to learn, and if they want to make it out here, they are going to need help. So we can all help to train all of you." she shrugged, "I'm sure Deathnote wont mind too much, I hope"

"Cuz you know so much about having a mate and kits." Tiger teased, "I suppose its gotta' be lonely at times, but it can't be any worse than being a loner, know what I mean?"

Dawnshadow sighed, "I don't think my opinions will change, but suit yourself."((Id post the rest. But Im TIREDDD))

Honeywhisker snorted, "only one of them was an apprentice, the rest were fully grown warriors, you're only one cat, you did as everyone else did. We were overwhelmed, don't forget, we are five cats fewer than we would have been if we were attacked yesterday morning." she pointed out, "and you did the best you oculd." she said with a purr.

Cloudfeather nodded, "good, then you still have nine. You should help to interrogate Lonestar," she said, looking over at where Eagletalon was interrogating the other leader, but getting no answers, "it doesn't look like your deputy is having much luck."

__

Shadefang sat besider her and wrapped his tail around her shoulders, "don't feel so guilty. I know it bother's you, but you have to remember, Pebblepaw would likely have killed you given the chance, this is war, and death is a natural thing. Pebblepaw is in StarClan, with all of out ancestors, away from the struggles of life."

Batear smiled, "your right on that one." She thought for a moment, "I think it would be more proper for Deathnote to give you your apprentice name, since hes our leader. Who knows, you might get to get a warrior name, whatever Deathnote sees fit."

((He could hold a little ceremony. Tiger could even get her warrior name! O'Brian will be CLoverpaw/Cloverleaf))

Tiger sighed, but stood up and stretched, "poor them." she gromped, padding out into the dunlight and blinking a few times."

__

Dawnshadow followed him down the tree, jumping down and landing gracefully on her feet, "morning." she purred to O'Brian, who dipped his head in response.

__

Honeywhisker shook her head, "they must have been spying. But it looks like they are interrogating Lonestar now."

Cloudfeather padded over to Boneshatter and dipped her head, "what can I do?" she asked, not even wanting to look at  her own wounds, she was afraid if she sat down she would be too tired to get back up.

__

Eageltalon reluctantly let Lonestar up, and stood at Mudstar's side, looking fearsome and dangerous.

Lonestar's eyes darted between Mudstar and Eagletalon, "what do you want form me?" he said, voice not bothering to hide his distaste for the StrikeClan cats. He smirked devilishly when he saw his tone made Eagletalon dig his calws into the dirt.

Shadefang sighed, "Denial. Or maybe ther are jsut seriously messed up. Please don't be to down about this, I don't like it when you look sad."

Batear shrugged, "I will after hes had some breakfast." she said.

__

Gucci nodded, "O'Brian seems to already want to be a warrior, and where he goes, I go."

__

Tiger stopped and sat down beside Tessa and Batear, "morning." she purred, white fur fluffed against the wind. Tessa was smaller than Batear, and Tiger even smaller than her, "so how do you like the clan cats so far?" she asked with a laugh.

__

Honeywhisker yawned, "I'm tired too, maybe you should take a nap." she suggested.

__

Cloudfeather snorted, "its fine, I've seen worse." she said, she had caught a glimpse at Darkwing, and it made her wounds seem like thorn scratches, "Are you sure you don't need any help?"

__

Lonestar's smile became filled with contempt, "StikeClan is a CLan full of weaklings and traitors, you all remember your former medicine cat, and what she did to her mentor, and I know you took in that little weakling TIger, she didnt make it did she?"

__

Shadefang nodded, "lets go then." he said, not thinking about it much. He could rest from the fight later.

Tiger couldnt help but laugh, "you think they seem large you you?" she asked, "I used to be part of their rival clan, StoneCLan. After a while, the Clan feels like one big family." she said with a distant smile.

__

Guvve shrugged, "THeo nly reason he left home is because I did. He didn't like the twolegs much, but he always said it was much safer there. But he came with me, so I owe it to him."

__

Honeywhisker yawned loudly, "suit yourself. But I'm taking full advantage of this peacetime." she muttered, resting her head on her paws and closing her eyes.

_

Cloudfeather snorted, "someones bossy." she teased, sitting down. As soon as she did, exhaustion gripped her and she had to fight to keep herself from flopping to the ground and falling asleep.

_

Lonestar snorted, "Come now Mudstar, I know you are younger than me, but I didn't think you were that stupid." he said, shaking his head, "why woudln't I attack a Clan of weaklings and traitors? Look at everything StoneClan has to gain. We could move out of that rocky wasteland and into the forest, like a real clan. and then it would only be a matter of time before we could take over StreamClan. Then we would have the whole forest to ourselves." he snarled.

Shadefang noticed as soon as he entered the forest that it was silent. The sounds of battle must have driven all the prey into hiding, "maybe we could try some hunting." he said quietly.

Tiger shrugged, "just watch yourself, not all of them are as good as they seem." she said, not giving any further imformation on the subject, but something about her dark tone told that she knew all too much about it. She then rose to her paws and padded over to the freshkill pile, looking cool and collected.

"And apprentice name? What would it be?" Gucce asked, sounding rather exited. ((Hmmm. Featherpaw, for her light, feathery fur :D and her warrior name can be Featherbreeze. LONG NAME *nodnods*))

Cloudfeather reluctantly rose to her paws and stalked to the warriors den, collapsing in her nest.

Honeywhisker just groaned, "kep it down a little. I've had kind of a rough morning." Although the words werent too friendly, her tone was gently, and anything but her usually grumpyness.

Eagletalon nodded his head obediantly and jerked his head to Lonstar, who got up and folowed Eagletalon to Boneshatter's den, shooting Mudstar a look of pur hostility as he left.

Shadefang nodded, "especially since the waters risin, there will be lots of fish, but we have to be careful.

((Im too giddy to type :D i had a GREAT DAYYYYY I spent it in town with my bff shopping, then on the way home, we stopped at my crushes house nd hung out with him and his friend. I got to chill on the tailgate of his truck. Id explain the rest, but i gotta go! XD))

Gucci twitched her tail in anticipation, "I can hardly wait." she purred.

Honeywhisker made a face, but did her best to not move, "I'm just glad they are gone."

Shadefang chuckled softly, "of course you are."

"Or they get a better leader." Honeywhisker muttered grumpily.((PLOT TWIST! what if Honeywhisker takes over StoneClan? She would leave StrikeClan, and SotneClan would be better taken care of.))

"Nothing." Shadefang said with a shrug, "lets just actch some fish so we can get back to camp."
