Deathnote pelted after her, long legs carrying him smoothly to her side. "Yeah, we'd better hurry; StarClan forbid we have to do something useful!" He laughed, a light, musical sound, and flicked his ears at her.

"Huh? Oh. Uh." Mudsplash frowned, blinking a few times as she tried to remember. "Er- sorry. What were you saying? I zoned out."

"I can hear you," Ravenfeather hissed, tail lashing back and forth. 

~

Jadewhisper smirked, tail curling happily. "That sounds good." 

Cloudfeather laughed, "thats great Ravenfeather! want an award?" she asked teasingly.

COugarstar shook her head, "what is the matter Mudsplash?" she asked, "you arent yourself today." __

Dawnshadow giggled, "I bet Ravenfeather will have our heads for not going on patrol." she said, "we left him with chatter-box Batear!" her giggle bcame a laugh.

Honeywhisker twiotched her tail in response, scenting the air for prey.

Jadewhisper took off into the trees without telling Honeywhisker, coming back a minute later with a medium-sized rabbit.

Deathnote snickered, shouldering her playfully. "Ravenfeather can go chase his own tail," he meowed bravely, "I don't remember him being Clan Leader."

~

Mudsplash shook her head. "I'm just having one of those days," she said, sighing as she got to her feet.

~

Ravenfeather snarled, claws sheathing and unsheathing in response. Oh, how he hated going on patrol with his sister and her friends. 

Honeywhisker smiled for an instant, "nice job." she purred before vanishing as she climbed up the side of a tree. In an instant, her dark fur disappeared into the branches, leaving Jadewhisper by herself. After a minute or two, she dropped down from a branch behind Jadewhisper, landing on stealthy, silent paws. She set down a fattened squirrel with a proud gleam in her eyes, "but can you beat that?" she asked.

Dawnshadow didnt answer him. Her teal colored eyes were wide as she looked up at a black and white animal that towered over her. She hadnt realised that they had entered the cows grazing pasture. She looked right into the gently brown eyes of a cow. It lazily muched on some g*censored* and looked down at the cat, "wow." Dawnshadow said quietly, "I didnt know they were so big. I've never seen one this close." THe cow continued to chew noisily.

Cougarstar twitched her ears, not entirely convinced, "well, if you don't feel good, you can always go see Boneshatter." she said.

__

Cloudfeather stood on one side of her brother, flicking his ear gently with his tail, "hey now, maybe if you lightened up a bit, you would enjoy our patrols." she purred.

Batear was at his other shoulder, "and who knows, you might like smiling enough that you learn how to laugh. It makes life better you know." she said with a grin.

Deathnote purred, rubbing his head on the cow's leg carefully. "They're really friendly," he said, blinking at her. "Sometimes the ones without horns let you get on their back. You can see really far from there."

Jadewhisper chuckled, dashing off to the river. She was going to catch a fish bigger than Honeywhisker's squirrel. She was good at that.

~

"I think he left Camp," she meowed. "I'd better not go looking for him; I'm sure I'll be fine. I just have to find something to keep my mind off of things."

~

Ravenfeather growled. "I don't need to enjoy anything." He flicked his ears. "Mind your own business." 

Dawnwhisper touched her nose to the cow's. It didnt even move, "wow." she purred, "And to think, our mothers told us to stay away from here because they will crush us." she looked around the pasture and spotted a bull in a seperate pen, "he doesnt look to friendly..." she said, a grin playing across her face, "I wanna go see him."

Honeywhisker shook her head, chuckling softly, padding over to the river to watch Jadewhisper.

Cougarstar nodded her head, "well if you want to talk or anything, I will be in my den." she said, rising to her feet and wincing slightly as her joints painfullt moved.

__

Cloudfeather sighed, "fine then. I'm sorry we cared." her tone was, for once, entirely void of her usual happyness.

"Cougarstar-" Mudsplash whispered, eyes on her leader. "Are you...okay?"

"You should be," Ravenfeather spat, quickening the pace to avoid any other attempts at a conversation.

~

Deathnote peered down at her from his perch ontop of the cow. "Are you sure? That's the old one." He flicked his tail towards a big red building. "There's another one in there. Big, black, and with the biggest horns you'll ever see."

He frowned, jumping off the cow to stare at the barn. "Rumor has it that's the one that killed my parents."

Jadewhisper's paw struck quickly, as fast as lightning. Her claws snagged a fish, and with a flick of her paw, it flopped onto the shore. She pounced on the slippery, silver creature and killed it was one bite. "Beat that."

Cougarstar chuckled, "of course I am. I'm just starting to get old is all." she said wtih a sigh.

Dawnshadow widened her eyes, "don't take this the wrong way, but if thats true, i want to go see him." she said, "they say curiosity killed the cat, but I'm willing to take that risk." she shrugged

Honeywhisker rolled her eyes, smiling again, but this time the smile stayed on her face. She realised that she was actually having fun, "watch me." she purred, looking up at the sky. She didnt see a big crow, like she was hoping for, but she did see a small hawk. She debated going after it until she saw two larger hawks and realised that it was only a young hawk.

((bringing in a new she-cat. She doesnt need a bio, I will describe her in detail))

Unwilling to kill something so young, or tussel with one of its perents, she set out in search of something better than Jadewhisper's fish. She heard a little sqeak, that sounded like if could have been from a small bird, so she went to go investigate. What she found made her gasp in suprise.

A small white she-cat was curled in a tight ball, making her tiny frame seem smaller. her once silky fur was caked in blood and mud. Upon further inspection, she found out that the she cat wasnt pur white, she was covered in black stripes. her delicate paws were silver, as was her tail tip. her fur was silver tipped, making her look like she was covered in frost. And her stripes looked like a tigers. She opened her eyes, to show that they were a dark amber color, and they widened in fear when they focused on Honeywhisker.

"No!" the little cat groaned, "didn't the rest of you warriors have enough of beating me? Can't you just leave me to die with my dignity?" Her voice was full of pain and fear, and it struck a chord somewhere deep inside Honeywhisker.

"I'm not going to hurt you, my name is Honeywhisker, who are you? and why are you on StrikeClan territory?" she asked softly.

The shecat lifted her head, "StrikeClan? Good. Then I did make it far enough away from that miserable StoneClan." she hissed, "I'm Tigerpaw, no, not anymore. Its just Tiger again. Now are you going to report me to your leader so they can turn on me and try to kill me too?" she asked, voice harsh.

Honeywhisker looked back toward where she had left jadewhisper, "hey!" she called, "I think I just beat you!"

Jadewhisper padded after Honeywhisker, pricking her ears. She dashed over to Tiger, quivering like mad. "Are you okay? Do you need something to eat? What happened to you? Do you want to come back to camp with us?" She bombarded her with questions, fur standing on end. "You poor thing! We'll fix you up in no time!"

"Curiousity killed the cat..." Deathnote repeated quietly. Frowning, he started to trot towards the barn, claws unsheathed. "Good thing I'm not just a cat, then. I'm a warrior."

Mudsplash frowned. "Not too old, I hope." She said. "Cougarstar... are you on your last life?"

~

Ravenfeather tasted the air, then flicked his ears. "Rogue," he said absentmindedly. "Jadewhisper and Honeywhister too." I wonder why Honeywhisker's out, he wondered, and then squashed that train of thought. He didn't care...did he? 

((*pushes det* back off! shes mine XD))

Dawnshadow laughed and walked beside him, pressing slightly against him for comfort, she was terrified, but it was the fear that led her paws forward, "and its not like either of us is going alone." she pointed out.

Cougarstar looked down, then back up at Mudsplash, "I haven't told anyone, only Drea-" she almost finished saying the former Medicine Cat's name, "Boneshatter knows. I lost my eight life last leafbare. I lost it to the Blackcough I had." She lifted her head high, "but I don't want anyone to know, I don't want them to think I'm a weak leader." she said softly.

Batear twitched her large ears, "well, lets go check it out." she said, unsheathing her claws in case this rouge was dangerous.

__

Tiger's eyes flashed dangerously, "thats what Iceberg said." she hissed, rising shakily to her paws, her fur bristling slightly, "come back with me." she mocked in a voice meant to belong to the tom who had found her in StoneClan territory many moons ago, "they took me in, and trained me, and now that Lonewolf took over as leader, or should I say, Lonestar((XD))  I got attacked by the cats I dared called my friends. Lonestar told me that I didn't belong. And even though I was trainedi n all of their ways, I wasnt a warrior. And you want me to believe you will take care of me?" she snarled, looking fierce despite the fact that she was not nearly as big as either of the she-cats and her fur was dirty and bloody.

Honeywhisker sighed, "fine, stay here to die. Its not my problem." she hissed, "come on Jadewhisper, "she said, started to head in the direction of camp, "lets leave her here to die, since its what she wants.

"You're not a weak leader," Mudsplash meowed. "And I dare any cat to say you are to my face."

"My parents weren't alone," Deathnote pointed out softly. He blinked, and said in a more determined voice, "I guess we're just going to have to be careful." He flicked his ears, then dropped into a crouch. "I'll race you there!" he meowed, smiling, as he took off in front of her.

Jadewhisper shook her head. "I'm not like that, honest!" she squeaked, eyes wide. "The other clans are heartless, I swear we'll take good care of you. We'd never attack another Clan mate. Never ever-"

She was cut off as Ravenfeather tackled Tiger from the side, pinning the weakened she-cat under him. "Safety precautions," he meowed, smiling coldly at her. "I'm sure you know how it is."

"Get off of her!"

Tiger snarled loudly, driving her back legs into Ravenfeather's belly as hard as she could, pushing him off her. She forced herself to her paws, claws unsheathed, "Sure, I know how it is," she hissed, teeth bared, "and you are not going to get away wtih jsut tackling me."

Honeywhisker stepped in between Tiger and Ravenfeather, slightly suprised, the tiny she-cat was tougher than she looked, "Ravenfeather." she said, voice calm and collected, "It's alright. This is Tiger, she was a StoneClan cat, but they attacked her and left her to die. Me and Jadewhisper were hunting when we found her." She dared him with her bright green eyes to try and attack Tiger again, "She needs help, I'm going to take her to Boneshatter."

Dawnshadow laughed, "not fair!" she called, bolting after him, "you got a head start!" she pushed for more speed and gradually caught up, after not too long, she was shoulder to shoulder wtih him, but it was as fast as she could go.

__

Cougarstar laughed, "thanks for having faith in me." she said, giving her niece a friendly flick on the ear with her tail. She glanced at the camp entrace and was worried for a moment. Both her kits were out there, Cloudfeather and Ravenfeather. They had been gone for a while, and a memory flashed through her mind. She remembered the day they lost Birdfall, when a group of dogs had attacked him. She prayed silently to StarClan that there were no dogs in the forest.

"Fine," Ravenfeather said icily, sitting upright as he started to lick the fur on his chest. "Take her to Boneshatter. It doesn't matter; she doesn't belong here." He curled his tail around his paws and flicked his ears silently as he gazed at Tiger with an air of displeasure around him. 

Jadewhisper only hissed, fluffing out her fur unhappily. "You two are impossible," she muttered, shaking her head. "Come on, Tiger. I'll take you to Boneshatter; I have a feeling you'll like him very much. He's a nice tom who'll heal you up, no questions asked."

Boneshatter padded back into camp, mind thrumming with different thoughts. He sat down in his den in silence, staring at the small pool near the back of his den. It reflected the stars nicely at night, but for now all he could see was his own figure looming over it, blocking out the sun. Something flickered under the surface, causing him to stand up and move to sit near the entrance. "They'll be here soon," he meowed to himself quietly.

Deathnote skidded to a halt in front of the barn, laughing. "I won!" he exclaimed, blinking at Dawnshadow. He turned to look at the barn for a moment. "Hmm. How are we going to get in?" he asked, eyes scanning the building.

~

"No thanks needed," Mudsplash purred, shaking out her fur. She followed her leader's eyes with a frown. "What are you looking at?" she asked, slightly curious. "I don't smell anything."

Dawnshadow looked up slightly, "through there." she purred, looking up at a window. She dashed up the side of a tree in a squirrel-like fashion. Then, she pounced toward the window, landing gracefully on the wondow-sill(sp? XD) and looking down at Deathnote smugly.

Tiger nodded her head sharply to Jadewhisper, following the other she-cat, but her deep amber eyes never left Ravenfeather as she watched him, and her gaze was full of distrust.

Honeywhisker glared at RAvenfeather, "what is your problem?" she asked in a low voice once Tiger and Jadewhisper were out of earshot, "why would you attack a helpless cat?" her tone was angry and curious at teh same time.

__

Cougarstar twitched the end of her tail, "I'm watching for the patrol to return. They have been gone a long time." she said simply.
