Honeywhisker sighed, "that's a lot easier said than done." she said, looking at her paws, "maybe one day, I oculd forgive myself for this, but I don't see that being today." she said, turning and padding away, thinking about what Mudstar had told her about Boneshatter. Because of me, my brother is dead. I have to find a way to make this right, for both myself, and the rest of my clan.

Eagletalon dipped his head, "thank you, and she was, she will be sorely missed." he sat down and wrapped his tail around his paws, "so what brings you to StrokeClan territory?" he asked.

Tiger's fur was plastered to her body and weighed her down, she lay down on the shore and coughed a few times, her amber eyes were stille filled with terror and her calws dug into the dirt. Too scared to speak, she just waited until her heartbeat slowed.

Dawnshadow chuckled, "Deathnote wouldnt leave without me." she said. After a moment of silence, she pounced out at Chain, bowling him over then jumping away, "the element of suprise is a wonderful thing." she taunted.

Mudstar watched her leave with sad eyes, praying for only the best for Honeywhisker. Perhaps when the Quest Cats returned, everything would settle down and StrikeClan could know peace for a little while. 

Turning around, she slid into her den without saying anything to Lonestar. He sat in the back corner, angry eyes burning brightly in the shadows.

"I have news from StoneClan," Goldburn announced proudly, as if he felt accomplished betraying his Clan. "They wish for Lonestar to be returned to his clan. If he is not returned by the next full moon, they will slaughter every StrikeClan cat they can get their paws on. Starting with Mudstar. They had no intention of telling you this, though... so I brought it upon myself to inform you of this threat."

He paused. "Which is why I am no longer part of StoneClan. However, that really isn't your fault. My mate drove me away. But I wished to bring this to your attention before they pick another fight with you... I used to be friends with a cat from this clan a very long time ago. How is Ravenpaw these days? Oh, well, I suppose he's a warrior by now."

Boneshatter cringed in the corner, thinking of more cats in his clan being killed or injured. It was a sad thought.

Deathnote pulled himseld onto shore with a relieved sigh, glancing at all the cats around them. He could hear rustling in the bushes and laughter, which he assumed to be Chain and Dawnshadow. Bitter envy grated his nerves, so he turned his attention away from them.

Where was Ravenfeather and Tiger?

He glanced downstream, heart pounding in his chest when he saw their soaked bodies on the shore. They were moving though, which made him feel slightly better.

 Ravenfeather nosed Tiger gently, as if trying to get her on her feet. "You alright?" he asked, voice hoarse from swallowing the water. Coughing some more, he dug his claws into the dirt to keep himself standing. 

__

Chain rolled onto his feet, shaking the dirt out of his fur. "Guess who's catching their own breakfast tomorrow?" he laughed, swiping at her lazily with one paw. "Come on, let's go back to the others." 

Eagletalon flexed his claws, "Ravenfeather was fine last time I saw him, which was only a day or two ago." Why can't StoneClan just give up? He thought bitterly, "well StoneClan can have Lonestar back when we are done with him, and not a second sooner. Because of him, we lost a young warrior, and I don't intend to let that go unpunished. And as for you," he hesitated a moment, "I suppose you can stay here if you wish, but I will need to speak with Mudstar first."

Dawnshadow gasped in mock horror, "Oh no, my OWN breakfast? How will I ever do that?" she asked sarcastically, padding back toward the rest of their group at a leisurly pace, "I guess I'll just starve." she said with a shrug.

__

"No, not really." Tiger replied, shuddering lightly, "I think I've had enough near death experiences for a while." She pushed herself up and shook her fur as best she could, "How about you?"

"You could use a little weight-loss anyways," Chain teased slyly, tail curling in amusement. He followed her, grinning like a cheshire cat.

"I think I've had enough of water for a little while, thank you." Ravenfeather said, giving her a ghost of a smile. "Come on; let's find somewhere to rest... before you freeze to death."

Goldburn was quiet, watching with careful, thoughtful multicolored eyes. "I think," he said. "I do wish to stay here. But would it be alright if I kept a low profile? No patrols, and hunting closer to the camp? It would not be good if StoneClan found out about my... betrayal. And they would take their anger out on your Clan, I'm afraid."

Boneshatter brushed past Eagletalon, not explaining where he was disappearing to. He needed more herbs... as he'd destroyed what little he'd had. Anger with himself boiled in his heart, making his movements stiff and robotic. His clan needed those herbs. Why did he always destroy the things needed most by others? 

Eagletalon nodded, "thats understandable. And until you learn the layout of our territory, I suggest you don't leave camp without somebody with you, I would go myself, but there is a lot to be done, especially is StoneClan is planning to attack us."

Tiger chuckled softly "somewhere warm and dry sounds perfect." she shivered slightly as a breeze ruffled her wet fur.

Dawnshadow gasped, "you are so mean!" she complained, "what I ever do to you?" she asked, sticking her tounge out at him.

"Alright. Shall we go speak to Mudstar now, then? Or would you prefer I stay outside her den and mingle while you two speak alone?" Goldburn asked, smiling politely.

"We've got a little bit of a walk, then," Ravenfeather grumbled, starting to trudge towards the rest of the group, who were patiently waiting for them.

"I'm not mean. You're too sensitive," Chain said, flicking her gently with his tail as they joined the others. He ignored the hatred-infused look he got from Deathnote and smiled arrogantly.

"I don't think it would be wise of you to enter her den, thats where Lonestar is, and hes already caused enough trouble for one day, but I'm also not sure you should stay out in Camp without me or Boneshatter by you, the Clan is still on endge from the fight, we will speak to Mudstar on highrock, come with me." Ealgetalon meowed, getting to his feet and badding out into the sunlight. He padded through camp, ignoring the uestioning stare he got from Cloudfeather, which quickly became a hostile glare aimed at Goldburn.

Leaping up onto highrock, Eagletalon looked into Mudstar's den, "Mudstar? I would like to speak with you a moment please." he called.

 Tiger had to force one foot in front of the other to get back to the group, her thick fur weighing her down. The little she-cat tried her best to hold her head high, and to look like what had happened hadn't bothered her at all, "so whats for dinner?" she asked with a laugh, speaking to nobody in particular.

"nope, I'm pretty sure you're mean." Dawnshadow teased, her eyes widened when she saw Tiger and Ravenfeather, "are you guys okay?" Tiger shrugged in response, and Dawnshadow figured that was the best answer she would get from either.

"Mudstar, meet Goldburn, hes here to warn us about StoneClan." Eagletalon explained, glancing at GOldburn out of the corner of his eye, "they aren't exactly pleased with us having Lonestar, and want him back before the next moon." he explained

Tiger nodded, "I'll live." she said with a purr, "I've been through worse, once, I was attacked by StoneClan, and when I was hiding out in StrikeClan territory, I seem to remember this one big tom attacked me, even though I was half dead as it was." she tesed, reminding him of their first encounter,

Dawnshadow glanced at Chain for a moment, "I should probably see what his deal is." she said, even though she probably knew the answer. She turned and bolted after Deathnote, and once she caught up to him, she asked, "so whats your problem?"

Batear laughed, "no, not so much." she purred.

Gucci made a face, "oh it was just lovley." she said sarcastically. then she smiled, "Wont it be so much fun to go BACK through it again?"

Eagletalon shifted uncomfortably, "I don't think sending him back is the best idea." he said.

Tiger chucked, "relax, I forgive oyu, if i hand't, we wouldnt be here right no." she opointed out.

Dawnshadow was struck off gueard, a hurt look went across her face, then it turned to anger, "what do you mean what do I want?" she hissed back.

Batear stuck out her tounge, "Oh just lovley, I just can't awit to go for another swim!"

Gucce sighed, "I doubt theres another way anyplace nearby, but heres to hoping we do find something." she said with a laugh.

Mudstar narrowed her eyes slightly, sitting down so she could give them both a long calculating look. "Where are you going with this, Eagletalon?"

Ravenfeather wished he could say the same. If it wasn't for you, he thought. I might still be at home with Honeywhisker. I wonder how she is... "It's fine. I'm just... I miss some cats back home, is all."

"Why are you bothering me?" Deathnote said, rolling his eyes. "Honestly. Why don't you just go walk with the others and be quiet for a little bit. It doesn't hurt to shut your mouth once in a while you know."

"Really? Because I'd rather not, quite frankly." Chain purred, fluffing out his fur. "I'm just glad nobody drowned. But I'm sure I'll have plenty of colds to take care of in the morning."

Tessa nodded, noticing with a sad smile that she, Gucci, and O'Brian were at the back of the group. They still didn't fit in very well, did they?  

Eagletalon shrugged, "You and I both have seen what happens when you cross StoneClan, even if your intentions are good, jsut look at Tiger. We can't send him back, They will kill him for sure." he pointed out.

Tiger flashed a small smile, "thats understandable. ANd you will be able to go back and see them soon enough." she pointed out.

Dawnshadow hissed quietl, "I'm sorry I was concerned." she snapped, teal eyes flashing dangerously.

Batear laughed, "I'm sure you will, especially wtih Tiger and Ravenfeather, they both got a pretty good soaking."

O'Brian finally decided to make himself heard, "maybe there is a twoleg bridge we can cross or something." he suggested.

Mudstar sighed. "Two StoneClan cats in our Clan at once?" she muttered under her breath. She looked cautiously at Goldburn. "Well, as long as you promise not to stir up trouble. Just stay away from Lonestar... and don't make me regret letting you stay."

Goldburn dipped his head quickly. "You won't regret a thing! I swear!"  

Mudstar glanced at Eagletalon as the young golden tabby bounced off. "Should I call a Clan meeting and inform everyone what's going on? I'm sure some cats will be rather infuriated if I don't tell them why there's another StoneClan cat in our camp."

"Good." Ravenfeather said with a ghost of a smile. "Tiger... can I tell you something? I know I'm going to sound insane and all, but hear me out."

"I'm sorry you were concerned too," He snarled.

__

Chain sighed. "Ravenfeather.... what am I going to do with him? It seems every time we run into trouble he manages to damage himself in some way."

"Hopefully." Tessa agreed. "I wonder why we didn't look for one before..."

Eagletalon dipped his head once, "thats probably a good idea, wont want anybody stirring up trouble." he said, looking pointedly at Cloudfeather, who was watiching Goldburn with wary eyes. He had seen a huge change in Cloudfeather, and didn't like it one bit.

Tiger shrugged, "sure, I think you're insane anyway, but thats besides the point."

Batear shrugged, "not much you can do about that but keep trying to fix him up."
