Deathnote had thought of that before. "Then we return home with you, Tessa, and O'Brian then. Chain's already made it clear that he won't return to StrikeClan with us. Honeywhisker sighed, "two-legs never learn." she said, seeing an older two-leg kit and watching it carefully, "but they get better as they get older."

Storm nodded, "that makes two of us, and I've been here my whole life." he said, looking at the place where the clan cats had just left, "one day soon, we will leave, and I think those clan cats are our one way ticket to anywhere but here."

Gucci nodded her head, "then the only question left is, what is that reason?"

Boneshatter nodded grimly as he slipped under the chain-linked fence a padded around the edge of the yard towards the nest. The two-leg kit was busy on the other side of the yard for now, so it didn't see him.

Mudstar stretched out and yawned, nodding at Eagletalon. "I'm still alive," she meowed, trying to be playful.

Soot grinned, beginning to groom the fur on his chest. "De leetle tribe cats," he purred slowly. "I think dey vill be a very important part of our future. I know dat much. Let us hope dat dey come back vone day," He added with a pointed look at Storm, "Vith forgiving hearts."

"I'm not sure," Deathnote mewoed thoughtfully. "Protection? There's safety in numbers. Or perhaps something bigger. StarClan won't be telling us anytime soon..." 

Honeywhisker twitched her tailtip, "lets just hurry so we can get out of here as quickly as possible."

Eagletalon rolled his eyes, "I see that," he replied, "but is Lonestar?" he teased.

Boneshatter stopped in front of the small garden the two-legs had the catmint growing in. He nodded at Honeywhisker. "Grab as much as you can. Be careful not to bite into the leaves or swallow any of the juices. We need as much as we can get."

He tore off numerous leaves, the sweet juices pooling in his mouth. He was tempted to chomp down on them, but resisted, knowing better. He watched the two-leg kit draw closer, noticing them at last.

Mudstar laughed. "Have some faith in me," she snorted, shouldering Eagletalon playfully.

Deathnote shrugged. "Clan cats... we've never really questioned it. But you make a valid point."

Soot chuckled. "Vell, if dat iz vat you think, den fine. But dey may be hesitant to accept you into dere group if dere vill be fighting all de time. And dat Ravenfeather does not look very nice." 

Honeywhisker quickly grabbed a bunch of leaves, trying not to chew them up. She glanced at the twoleg kit, lashing her tail.
