The sand beneath her toes the salty breeze coming from the shore. Paige hated it all. The sea smelled nasty for one and the sand when it wasn't wet burned her feet. She took a seat in the shade of a near by palm tree on the beach and set down her notebook and pencil so she could draw. She looked up from the paper to look out at the ocean before her. There were surfers and boats, swimers and even the ocasional dolphin. She looked back to her paper and began to draw that scene. She had taken a mental picture to refer to as she drew. She put as much detail into her drawings as possible without them looking crowded and too busy. One day she wanted to be a profetional artist. She was fully aware of the fact that artists didn't get payed all that well but she would have another part time job to make up for the lose of money. She looked up at the leaves of the tree above her. The let through some rays of sun that beat down on her black and red streaked hair making her warm. She didn't mind that to much though.

Corbin sat down on the beach away from the little children playing tag so they wouldn't bump into him breaking his presious guitar  or get sand in it. He plucked the strings individually tuning them untill each one was make a perfect lovly sound. He strumed it playing a few chords before he looked up with a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. He looked down at his guitar and began to play a song he wront. Every strum, every movment of his fingers was practiced and precise. If he messed up he started over from th beging. If he didn't like the way something sounded he changed the note and continued on. He loved playing his guitar. He felt it made him a less shy person stonger even. He let out a content sigh as he finished the song all the way looking out at the undgulating waves before him.

Lana stared at Bell Chimes, watching her soar around and hunt for prey. Blinking, Bell easily swooped down every so silently and killed a mouse. Bell came back to Lana, hooting with pleasure. She easily ripped apart the dead prey, hungrily wolfing it down with an air of fierce grace.
"Why did you follow me all the way here?" Lana whispered to Bell, hesitantly stroking her head feathers. Bell Chimes hooted a musical response and flew off to a nest she had made near Lana's house. It was a large tree that stood next to the house, and it was a nice place for shade. The palm tree was no place for a nest in Lana's opinion, and owls didn't even live in Hawaii. She kind of wished that Bell Chimes hadn't come to Hawaii too, because she could probably have a better life in Lana's hometown. Lana had come to Hawaii for a vacation and had ended up staying because she loved it so much here. Bell had followed her to the airport, a miraculous feat, and Seth convinced Lana to allow him to sneak the owl on the flight. Seth could sneak anything anywhere. He even snuck Quincy onto the flight when dogs weren't even allowed! There was no transport for the pets either, so Seth had no choice but to stow them away. Oh, Seth. How devious you can be.

"Lana!" Seth called out cheerily. Seth always had a dream of living in a huge condo by the ocean on a beach on Hawaii. It looks like he finally accomplished that dream. Sighing, Lana dragged out a pad of watercolor paper and a large box of colored pencils. She sketched the sea and the sun, the sparkling, shimmering waves as the light reflected off of them. The surfing people, the laughing children, sand castles and people buried in the sand. She loved Hawaii. But she was also homesick. She was torn between this paradise and her cozy place back in Maine. Tilting her head, she colored in the sketch, outlining everything in black first and then adding a lot of vibrant colors.
"You're coloring when you could hang with me?" Seth whined, clearly unhappy at the fact that he was being ignored by his sister. Pouting, he held up Quincy and said, "Quincy wants you to come with me!"
"I don't care what Quincy wants right now, Seth." Lana said quietly, but not unkindly. "I'm drawing. I'll go surf with you later."

Seth had become quite the surfer, but was bad at all the other sports in the world (unless sleeping was one of them). Surfing was a huge hobby of his, and he surfed all the time. Lana was an average surfer, and wasn't as good as Seth. But, she had to admit, she loved it a lot too. Smiling, Lana quickly finished up her painting so she could go surf with Seth.

Alyssa's wave was huge. She gently bent down and stroked the water. Unfortunately, her wave ended too soon. Two more surfers were about to challenge her wave, she watched for a little. Alyssa relaxed on the soft crisp sand. It made it's way between her purple toes. Her hair shined from the sunlight, that came down just enough to add an extra dazzle. Tonight was perfect for a luau. She got up and walked over to the desk. "Do me a favor? My name is Alyssa Jones, and I want you to post a sign in loads of places for my luau. think you can help?" She smiled at the accountant "Well of course I can." 

The signs were set up and she was ready. "Luau at 6:00, all are welcome. Luau held at Hibiscus brackenridgei Gardens. " Alyssa read aloud. She went to her condo and changed into a tank top and short shorts. Her flip flops filled with sand as she walked to the beach. Her party was going to be a blast.

Tyler got off his plane. He was moving to Hawaii for pure fun. "Wow, so beautiful!." His iPod was plugged into his ears, pumping softly at the bass. He checked into a hotel. In his hand was a flyer for the same Luau. Tyler smiled. My first *Party*. He figured it was called a luau. 

He walked on the sandy beach, hoping to make a couple of friends. Maybe start a relationship with someone. Tyler lay down on the beach in his wave swim trunks. He slowly looked around the sky at seagulls. He picked an exotic hibiscus. His new life was great so far. Tyler wanted to try to surf. If only plucking guitar strings could teach him. The guitar shined in the light. The strummed away then set it down. His iPod was plugged in his ears and Tyler drifted away, as one usually would lose themselves in the moment of time... Relaxed, he almost fell asleep then decided to have some lunch.

His sandy sandwich was delicious. "A boy can only hope to eat like this the rest of his life." He left a check and a well earned tip for the waitress.

He ran a hand through his hair and continued, " I should try to swim. I can swim so why not put it to good use?" He dived in the ocean and swam to the buoy out there past the surfers. 

Whoosh... A sparkling tingle went through him as he  jumped through the wave like a dolphin, and continued swimming. He kept the luau in mind for future 6:00 reference. 

A random guy was passing out flyers for a luau at 6:00 tonight. I'm not much into parties. She thought to herself. She thought about whet else she would be doing at 6:00 and nothing came to mind except watching T.V. and sitting here maybe and drawing. Eh, how bad could it be. She said to herself. She looked at her watch to see how long she had till the luau. It was currently 4:45. She had some time to kill. she set down her notebook and pencil figuring no one would bother to steal it. She already had on swim trunks so she just took off her shirt to reveal a bikini top. She rolloed her eyes thinking of her mom and how she switched it out with her rash guard which is what she normally would ware. She walked over to the water and let the water wash over her bare feet. She walked in a little deeper before she dove under water. She came back up the bottom of the ocean to far bellow for her to stand up in the water. She got the hair out of her face and she just waided there a moent looking at the surfers and swimmers. She dove into the water again and swam farther out.

Corbin put his guitar back in it's case as he accepted the invite to the luau at the moment he didn't feel as shy and told himself he was going to go. She picked yo his guitar and started walking back to his hotel. Once he got there he set down his guitar on the bed and thought about what to do untill the luau. Hmm...

Seth was going to change into his swimsuit at his condo on the beach (Yush! Score! 8D) when he glanced at a flyer as he was passing a billboard sign. Grinning, he dashed back to Lana, Quincy barking excitedly. He had torn the flyer down to show to Lana. "Lana! Lana! Look! At 6! We need to go! We need to go!" He was jumping up and down.
"What are you, 5? I'm more mature than you and I'm your younger sister. Of course you can go. I don't wanna go. I'm not good with crowds." A faint blush spread over her tan, heart-shaped face. Her blonde hair covered her eyes, and she tugged it into a ponytail to keep it out.
"Oh, I'm forcing you to go." Seth said, winking at his sister. "Cooome!" Seth grasped her hand and tugged her to their condo that they shared. Lana groaned and quickly snagged her colored pencils and the pad of paper. Quincy woofed and followed the two siblings.

Lana came out of her bedroom dressed in a pretty white shirt with roses on the left side of the stomach area. It was short-sleeved and was light and made out of cotton. Lana had on a pair of tight shorts that were purposely ripped a little in some places, as well as purposely faded. She had let her hair down, and it looked neat and brushed. She had on a pair of aviator sunglasses and large, silver hoop earrings.

Seth was wearing a loose, brown shirt from Abercrombie & Fitch. He had on a pair of black surfing shorts just in case they would be allowed to surf, which he was really hopeful for. He had on a pair of aviator sunglasses just like Lana's, except his were reflective. Seth's dark brown hair was messy as always, but it looked a little less messy right now.

"Are you ready Lana?" Seth asked eagerly. Quincy growled and chewed on a squeaky pig toy. He had on a straw hat and some of his own aviators. Quincy's pair was all rainbow with dalmation spots and it was doggy-sized. Still, they were a little big on him because he was only one month old. It was an adult size for big dogs, which Quincy would soon become after a year or two.
"Need I remind you it's not 6:00 yet?" Lana said, smirking slightly at Seth's impatience. "Just a few more hours, buddy. Let's watch TV to pass the time."
"Are you sure we can't just stare at the ceiling? It's my favorite pastime." Seth said jokingly.

Paige surfaced again and rolled onto her back. She closed her eyes and placed her hands on her stomach. She took in a deep breath and cringed at the smell of the salty ocean. She looked down at her watch thankfull it was water proof. The suns glare made it hard to see what time it was so she cuped her other hand over it. It was now 5:05. She set her hands back on her stomach and closed her eye's again.

Corbin floped down on his bed and closed his eyes. He began to think about what he would ware and weather or not he should even go. No he will go. He doesn't likebeing a lone but as soon as he doesn't like it he'll leave.

Paige swam back to shore and ryed off picking her lings up she headed back to her car which was a yellow jeep. She drove to her house and took a shower to rinse out the salty water from he hair. Then she got dressed in her usual atire; a black T-shirt that was a couple sizes to big covered by her Paul Frank jacket which had a lime green moose on the front, black cargo pants with a chain attached to one of the belt loops and ended up in her pocket and her black combat boots. She brushed her hair and walked out of her house and drove to the luau. She got there right on time. She walked to the drink station and got a coke-a-cola and began to sip from the glass it was poured into. She sat down at one of the tables and watched the hula dancers dance on the dance floor while she listened to the music. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't really her thing either but she didn't mind.

Corbin dicided to change into one of his nicer shirts and pair of jeans before he left. As he arived to the luau he felt a bit out of place. He wasn't one to normaly go to parties even though sometimes he whent with his friends just so they could hang out together. He didn't mind the crowed and the loud music as much as he didn't like the type of people that were there. Usually the peope were drunk and a little to hands on for his liking so he normally ended up leaving fifteen minutes after he got there but this party seemed a little more low key. They weren't serving alcholic drinks which made everything all the better.

Alyssa's attention came to the boy. "Well hello!" She smiled up at him. The fire lit up as the sky turned dark. The smell of smoke filled the area as steaks were grilled to serve to the people.

Tyler looked around the area. He looked at Kiarra sitting down and took careful steps to her. His voice cracked when he talked to her. "... Hi" Tyler's hand reached for the seat, that he pulled out and sat in. He ran a hand in his hair. "Maybe later we can go for a night swim?" He suggested.

Oh how the party was fun Alyssa thought. She sipped her soda daintily. 

Paige smelled the steaks that were cooking and imediatly smiled. She stood up and walked over to where they were being served from and took one of the pieces of meat. She sat back down at the table and began to eat. She didn't take huge bites but they weren't as small and dainty as most girls she knew would cut them. She stuck one of the pieces into her mouth and smiled as she closed her eyes and chewed. This is a pretty good steak. She thought to herself. She opened her eyes and continued eating her steak.

Corbin saw the steaks come out  but wasn't all that hungrey yet. Maybe later though. He took a seat at an empty table and looked around the place from where he sat. He saw lit tourches scattered about, Hula dancers dancing all in unison, chefs serving there food, and people. He liked the smell of the fire but didn't smile. He was too shy at the moment even to smile to himself.

Paige looked at the two peolple, and their dog, as they came in. One of them burst in through the doors while the dog starting barking as loud as it could.They bolted to the where the steaks were and the guy threw one on the ground for the dog to eat. After that Paige whents back to her steak. After she was done she took her plate to where wher they were to go after they were finished with them and whent back ot the empty table. She took another sip of her coke.

Corbin didn't even look up from the table cloth which he was currently fidling with when the two new people showed up. He heard the dog loud and clear and didn't care to know any more about it. He studied the pattern of the fabric and the perfectly woven thread. He wondered how those sowing machines worked.

Corbin let out a breath he didn't even know he was holding in when he felt the eyes move to something else. He lifted his gave from the table cloth to whoever was watching him. He saw it was a girl. she had light blone hair that whent down to about her mid-back and had bright blue green eyes. He quickly looked back down to the table cloth and wiped his hands on his pants to get rid of the sweat that had collected.
