Trace closed her eyes. "What do you think the arena will be this year? A forest, a jungle, it could even be some snowy place!" She let her imagination go wild with the location of her demise. It could be a paradise filled with poison. A beach with no water safe to drink or food safe to eat but the rain and birds.

"I don;t know, nor will I care, the only thing my mind is set on, is surviving...." he replied and closed her eyes for a few seconds, imagning it's be the reckey mountions, with a few deer, birds and a few streams of water.. Mabey a few fish... But he knew he'd be wrong....

Trace shrugged, opening her eyes and looking out the window. "I know. My plan is just to... To stand still and let them kill me. Show them I don't care. Besides, with life the way it is, what is there to come back to? The Games... They'll make the population of Panem smaller every year... Pretty soon the Capitol will have to make their sacrifice. And I will be happy that day, for once in my lifetime." Happy. It had been so long since she had said that word.

Trace shrugged. "Me too. Worth almost nothing, standing against how fantastic we'll look during the parade on opening night. Not. They'll probably make me into a light bulb and you into a tree." She gave a weak laugh, turning away. "Well, I need to go. Curfew in five minutes, lucky you." She walked toward the 3 door as fast as she could, to avoid getting attached to her future target.

"We can't talk any longer?" he said. "It's only 11..." he murmmered, more to himself.. He looked away from her and out the window once more. He pressed his hand against the cold glass and watched as they passed the trees and the mountions.. He let out a sigh and rested his hand on the back of his neck.

Trace poked her head out the door. "What are you waiting for? All the cabins are on the 3 car, 7 has the dining cars. Come on! We have to share our room!" She ran into her room, collapsing on the soft bunk bed. It had been so long since she had felt a mattress under her back.

He looked at her and stood up. He then walked out, following behind, but in a slow pace. He finally got to the bunk bed and crawled on the top bunk. "G'Night..." He said gruffly.

He fell asleep also, but kept waking up because of Trace.. He climbed down and sat in the floor next too her. He rested his hand on her shoulder and looked at her. "Trace, it's okay..." he whispered.
