Aqua didn't need to be told twice, her muscles had already been tensed with anticipation and she was able to spring away, running blindly in a random direction. "Crim.. I have no idea where I am going!" She wailed as she tried to escape Magma's flames. Magma roared, "Oh no you don't!" He spat more flames at Aqua, missing her tail by inches. |

"Back to the ocean, you can swim, can't you?" Crim shouted over the flames, jumping and flying for a short moment to catch up with Aqua, and then landing and running again.

"I, I think so!" Aqua said, staring at her webbed feet for a few seconds as she stumbled a little. "I think swimming would be faster too, for me at least!" She looked behind her a few seconds, and was able to duck just in time to avoid a fireball, "Lead the way!"

Crim bobbed his head curtly and sprung into the air, flying as fast as his wings wi=ould take him, but not so quickly that Aqua couldn't catch up. He could hear the waves of the ocean crashing against rocks already, as they drew nearer.

Aqua followed suit, gliding so she could keep up better. She scented the air, the salty sea tingling her nose. She enjoyed the smell of it, almost feeling like she was 'home' by it, but not quite. She stopped when she reached the edge where the water swirled and crashed, "Do we just, y'know.. Leap in?" She asked, suddenly scared again. ((They're on a cliff right? o3o So the water is below them I assume. o3o')) |

((Yepyep)) "You can jump in, I'll fly over to where its safer to swim. It doesn't sound very fun to jump right now," Crim admitted, flying over the sharp cliffs and then gliding near the waves further out. Would his father and mother dare follow them out to sea? |

Velocita gasped when she guessed what her son was about to do. "Magma! Look what you have let your anger cause! Our son is going to kill himself because of you!" She knew she was too far to be able to do anything, and flying to him would only make him jump sooner. Magma, closed his mouth. "I.. I.." He stayed silent. "At least the Hybrid will die.." Velocita glared at her mate, but said nothing. Aqua took a deep breath. "I'll see you down there!" She called to Crim, taking a few steps back, then running and jumping off to the dark blue waters below. She felt herself be kept underwater, unable to hold her breath any longer, she tried to gasp, but found that she could breath the water! However.. It wasn't by her mouth, her mouth was closed. It was like.. She had.. Gills. She wasn't sure how she knew, but she did know that this would help her greatly in swimming. She folded her wings instinctively in a way that would allow her to swim very fast in the water, swimming to the surface with ease and looking up at Crim. She felt her gills close as she yelled, "Quickly! Jump in!"

Crim hesitated and folded his wings tight, diving into the water, his eyes clamped shut. When he opened them underwater, he saw Aqua. He paddled his way back to the surface for air, and remained above woter for a few moments.

"Crim, I just realized the strangest thing." Aqua said, treading water so she kept afloat, the waves seemed to be calming down now and it was fairly easy to do so. "I can breath under there, not with my mouth but with these things on my neck, I think they are called gills." She tilted her head to one side, "Is that normal?"

"For a sea beast, I think." Crim answered, "My parents were saying something about you being a hybrid, so maybe that's why?"

"Yes, that makes sense." Aqua said, smiling. "I can swim pretty fast too! Do you know which way shore is? If you hang on to my tail maybe we'd get there faster." She was happy she could possibly help Crim, since just moments before with his parents she had felt useless as a Hybrid, but now it made her feel special!

"I think I can fly at about your speed, if I try hard enough," Crim said, stretching one wing out of the water experimentally. The shining sun felt good on his ruby-colored scales. "I suspect we should just swim in one direction until we hit the next land mass, I think."

Aqua nodded, "If we do that we ought to get to something after a while, water doesn't go on forever, after all." She smiled at Crim. "We should get going right away, your parents may follow us.." She looked up at the cliff nervously, expecting to see one of the large dragons burst out while trying to kill her again. Of course she didn't, the dragons now were still in shock about their son jumping off the cliff edge, and unsure what to do next.

Crim nodded at her and leaped from the water into the air. He shook the water droplets off of him swiftly as her climbed, and then he settled into a smooth flying pattern above the water, so he could keep his friend in view in case something attacked from below.

Aqua ducked underwater, only keeping her eyes above so Crim could see her. Her tail went from side to side quickly in the water, folding her front arms at her sides to reduce drag. She swam almost faster then Crim flew, and she probably could swim faster if she wanted to.
