I'm SO curious now. xD [And it's going to be kind of weird if there actually ARE lurkers, lol.] So, if there are lurkers, I give you permission to post...just to see if you're here.
BECAUSE I'M STRANGE AND WONDERFUL LIKE THAT AND-- /shot repeatedly.
Lol. 'Cept that it's not that funny. D:

"Good night," Wil said quietly to her closed door, and then set off down the hall to another sleepless night.
---
The next morning, Wil felt rather restless. He knew he should feed again--he had only taken a tiny portion of blood from Paradise--but he couldn't summon himself to get one of his bleeders. He would never think of feeding the same way again.
Shuddering and feeling more than a little bit unsettled, he decided to see how his new servants were doing. He made his way purposefully out of the house and to the the back gardens, which weren't massive, but still fairly large--large enough to require lots of gardeners.
He was browsing the beds being prepared to be planted, when he spotted a flash of red hair and violet eyes. His heart would have hammered, his breath would have caught. Except that he wasn't human. Except that that detail made everything he felt for her wrong.
Paradise.
Trying to maintain some semblance of authority, he continued on his walk--no clone was going to make him turn heel and run. He realized that Alice [That's her name, lawl] and James were with her as well. At least it his original reason for coming was here as well.
"Good morning," he said, with no particular inflection to his tone.
And though it took all of his willpower [I can't write this without giggling. xD], he kept walking. Didn't look back. Didn't stay. Or talk. Or acknowledge her.
He bit his lip, and kept walking. He couldn't afford to show more favoritism than he already had. Paradise couldn't be thought of, couldn't be talked to...it was just to risky for him.
So Wil kept walking, even when Helga arrived at his side.
"Wil," she said gently.
"Yes?"
"I think we should talk about Marysa."
