Deveth nodded in agreement, and began to walk back to camp. He kept his eye on Tala Atma for a moment, but soon looked forward when she seemed like she wouldn't attack Asu.
Panthera turned to the fight as well. Carius had Nykamar pinned, and was biting the back of his brother's neck.

Asu set down Tala Atma in Lyria's medicine den. "She's hurt and possibly infected with rabies. Her other family members have gone rabid already, and we found her out in the woods," he told the healer.
Sierra then padded over. "Oh, my. I'm not sure who this is, but help her, Lyria."

Lyria's eyes widened at the condition of the wolf. She then turned to Sierra. "Since she's possibly infected with rabies, I'm going to need a fighter in here in case she tries to attack." She said. "We're also going to have to wait to see if she's rabid before I can help her."
Sierra's gaze swept across the camp. "Kayto," she called out, and the sandy-colored wolf came trotting by. "I want you to make sure this wolf doesn't attack anyone. She might be rabid."
Asu gaped at Lyria. "You won't help her 'till she's proven not to be rabid?! C'mon, she's hurt!" He then looked down at the ground and mumbled, "Sorry, Lyria... I didn't mean to say that.."

"I've got to wait, Asu." Lyria said, a hint of annoyance in her voice. "She if she was rabid, she could bite me, and I'd infect the rest of the pack. It isn't an option." Lyria sat down, watching Tala to see if she began to act strangely.
