Oakfeather blinked at Earthpaw in surprise, a raspy pur escaping his throat. "No problem; need some help with that?" he mewed, standing up, enjoying the warmth on his fur and the fresh air.

Poppystar looked at them carefully, then turned to Whisperfoot. "I think that's good. Make sure to mark the borders again. And keep an eye out for foxes, and fresh kill. We're runnging low." Her eyes trailed over to the nearly-empty fresh kill pile.

Snakepaw padded out of the apprentice's den, still kitten-soft fur fluffed up because he was agitated. His golden tail tip flicked back and forth, and his lime green eyes looking from side to side. He yawned, and stretched out.

((Hmm...Ghostpaw with Poppystar? Shadowpaw with Leafnose when Ssather gets on...Snakepaw needs one of ssather's or snoweh's warriors))

Whisperfoot nodded, "I'll take Ghostpaw with me, just so she can get some training done," she mewed, turning away from Poppystar. "Emberheart? Ghostpaw? We're going hunting," she called.

Ghostpaw grinned cheerfully, "Yay!" she meowed, her tail held high with excitement. "I love hunting!" And Ghostpaw had good reason too, she was well on her way to becoming one of BoneClan's top hunters.

Earthpaw smiled shyly, "Oh, thanks. I need to get more catnip for the coming leaf-fall but my mouth's too small to carry much," she mewed. She tipped her tail in the direction of the gorse-tunnel, indicating that Oakfeather should follow her.

Poppystar nodded at them approvingly, and then began to groom herself.

Oakfeather nodded, chuckling a little at the younger cat, and started to follow her to the gorse tunnel that she'd pointed at.

Whisperfoot padded out of the Gorse-tunnel, the cold winter breeze tugging at her fur. "Alright, the air is very clear nowadays so stay upwind at all times," she warned the others.

((Can I just skip this hunting part? It's only my charries xD))

Earthpaw weaved her way around a fallen log, too short to jump it. She paused to scent some burdock root but shook her head at Oakfeather, "We have too much of it," she explained, heading deeper into the forest.

 Oakfeather nodded, leaping gracefully over the fallen log. He had to slow his pace so he wouldn't outwalk Earthpaw; her legs were much shorter than his. "Soo...." he said, trying to break the awkward silence.

Oakfeather paused and sniffed the air. "Nothing," he said. "Dont' worry."

Oakfeather flicked her gently with his tail, stepping on front of her so she was hidden behind him. Then, without warning, a gray she-cat sprung at Oakfeather, and landed on his back.

He yowled, clawing and biting at the she-cat, while at the same time trying to keep the other cats away from Earthpaw. "Go get help!" he yowled at the medicine cat apprentice while he writhed underneathe the three warriors. "Hurry!"

One of the cats sunk their teeth into his shoulder, while another bit down on his tail.

Snakepaw lifted his small head, looking at Earthpaw in shock. "An attack... where?" He perked up a little. "I want to go! Show me the way!" His green eyes focused on her's with stubborn determination.

Oakfeather chased the gray she-cat off just as a burly black tom and a small brown tabby tom pinned him to the ground again and raked their claws over his flanks and legs. He yowled, in rage and pain, and bit down on one of their paw's. The small tabby dashed into the forest just as a white tom and a calico she-cat showed up. He swallowed, feeling dizzy, overwhelmed and weak.

Snakepaw dashed after her, loosing his footing occasionally with a little curse. Finally he skidded to a halt, startled by what he saw.

Oakfeather was fending off two she-cats and two tomcats, but he was out-numbered and very weak. He had slash marks all down his flanks, on his legs and blood leaked from his stomach and chest. His throat was pouring blood, and he seemed to be blinded by some of the ruby liquid dripping into his eyes. 

Snakepaw automatically lunged for a calico she-cat, and leaped onto her back. He buried his claws in her back, and bit down on the back of her neck. She yowled in pain and confusion.
